Pure Strength Legs

What a great leg workout. I did this for the first time last night. I just started a PS rotation. Boy, are my hamstrings and thighs sore today. I'm glad the legs get a break today for Chest, shoulders and tris. I'm wondering how many of you went out and bought a body bar? I didn't have one and thought it was fine without it. I don't think I could have done the inner and outer thigh lifts with it.

I don't have the body bar either, I just use ankle weights which for me work great! I'm not sure I could do all those reps with the body bar either! Maybe with the lightest one they make! Yay, I get to do Pure Strength Legs tomorrow :) funfun!

I've been doing this one for years without a body bar. I put a 2.5 lb. weight on my ankle and hold a dumbbell of whatever weight I feel I can handle that day above the knee (6-10 lbs.). I prefer my way because I can adjust the weight and for me it's easier to control than a long bar.

Woohoo last week was my first week on this rotation, and it was hard. I am doing a three weeker. I have not gotten to the legs again this week, but they were painful. My hamstrings were buring for 2 days :). I had never seen the modification for taller ppl before and it really helped and made it harder for me. I just adore Cathe workouts:eek:

It's day 2 and my hamstings are still sore - but a good sore. I didn't do chest, shoulders, tris last night since I had a killer headache so hopefully I'll get to it tonight if I don't get home too late from work.
