Pull-Up Bar Problem

I wanted to get a pull-up bar for P90X. I bought one at the store that kind of resembles The Door Gym but my door frame isn't wide enough for the brackets. I live in an apartment so I don't have tons of options. Does anyone know any other pull-up bar options?

I use my squat rack for (modified) pull-ups.

First off I hope you saved your receipt so you can return the useless bar.

Second, measure your doors before you purchase a pull up bar. I used to have a great one when I lived in an apartment that was pressure bar mounted so it was very easy to install AND remove if you ever moved.

The Sports Authority sells a ton of different pull up bars. You should go & check out your options.

I almost had the same problem with the Door Gym not fitting. Try every single doorway though because it did fit on my front coat room closet door! I'll be using that one. It's not far from where I work out anyway, maybe 10 feet or so away.
