PUB/LB vs. Pure Strength vs. Gym Style

I have just received PUB and PLB. I already have the Pure Strength series along with Power Max, MIS, Muscle Endurance, Bootcamp, Muscle Max, High Step Challenge (along with @ 20 other Cathe videos). Question is everyone seems to love the gym style series. Based on what I have above, would I like it or need it? Interested in what the difference may be. Thanks again!

Hi Jane....hard to say. Pyramid weightlifting is just a different way of using reps and sets to work the muscle. The Gym Styles is intense and uses the Dynaband so different again. Try out the Pyramids for awhile, The Gym Styles to me are like Muscle Max INTENSIFIED! Change is always good for the muscle...I am sure others will respond with their opinions...:)

Thanks, Carole, I really appreciate your advice! Have a GREAT weekend (if I'm not back again :) )

I find the Gym Style upper body workouts to be almost dauntingly difficult. The Pure Strength series is relatively easy for me, and I enjoy PUB/PLB and feel slightly sore (in a very good way) for a couple of days afterward. But the Gym Styles have killed me, both during and after, every time I've tried them. For instance, the drop sets of pushups at the beginning of the chest work on Gym Styles - FINALLY I did them all, then could barely move for days, and it wasn't worth it LOL!!! I almost always use the same weights Cathe uses on all of these workouts. I have a scattershot approach to all of these weight workouts though - I do each of them maybe once every two months interspersed with a lot of other strength training dvds - maybe if I really concentrated on the Gym Styles and did only Gym Styles for a month I could bust throught this plateau. To me, they are killers, though. I think I'll do the premixes next time around, that would probably be plenty hard enough!
