PU...My Feet Stink!

So today I pulled out a pair of dressier sandals that I wear to work...patent leather straps, leather insoles, wedgie-things. Anyway, I came home, took them off, and man, do my sandals and feet stink! I vaguely remember at the end of the summer that they started to smell a bit funky. I've had "issues" with shoes that are not sandals too, but figured it was because the air has no where go in those. Does anybody have some good methods for de-stinkifying leather shoes...sandals or otherwise?!?

Baking soda has worked for me in the past. Just pour a little on the insoles and let it stay there for a day or more before brushing it off. I've found though that shoes that tend to get stinky will always get stinky again. It's something in the material that like you mentioned, just isn't letting your feet breath. I've had to give up and toss a few pairs because of this. Baking soda will extend the "wearability" though. ;)
