PS versus Slow and Heavy

Hi Cathe

I am currently working out using your Rhythmic Step, Body Max and Power Hour videos. And I am thinking of investing in another of you strength videos but I am unsure of which to choose.

I am 5ft weighing around 138lbs I want definition and to gain endurance and using the Cathe Forums rotations many of which feature both PS and S&H. What would you suggest.

My goal is to get to 126lbs with muscle definition and to increase my endurance I am currently lifting 5-8 lbs dumbells and 18lb barbell.

I have in my video collection

Step Works
Power Max
Step Heat
Step Fit
Step Jam
Step Max
IMAX
Cross Train Express collection

I work out at present 5 days a week with one rest day on Thursday and Sunday I have also recently joined a gym can you give me any suggestions.

Thanks Cathe

Hi! I am not Cathe, but if I was going to do an endurance rotation based on your videos, I would start with a CTX rotation for 6-8 weeks. You may want to do each upperbody part twice a week on weeks 1,3,5 and work each upperbody part once a week during weeks 2,4,6. This will give you endurance training but will also prepare your body for the heavier lifting that will be required with your next purchase. I would suggest PS before S&H. I would buy PS and then do the following for 6 to 8 weeks:
Sat. PS C/S/T and a CTX cardio portion if you have the time
Sun. PS B/B/A and a CTX cardio if you have the time
Mon. PS SL/A
Tue. Step Works
Wed. Power Hour
Thu. Step Heat
Fri. Rest
This is 6 days of working out. It depends on if you want to hit each body part twice a week. If not, omit the power hour and do the following:
Sat. PS C/S/T and a CTX cardio session if time permits
Sun. Step Jam
Mon. PS B/B/A
Tue. Power Max
Wed. PS S/L/A
This rotation gives you 5 days of working out and only hits each body part once per week. You could alternate and do the 1st rotation weeks 1,3,5,7 and do the 2nd rotation weeks 2,4,6, and 8. I did PS after a CTX rotation and had great strength gains. I could actually match the weight Cathe uses - something I could never do before. Could I also suggest maybe Cardio Kicks or MIC? You want to make sure and do some sort of cardio other than step. Okay, that's it. Have fun!

Thank you for this rotation I will give it a try. And let you know how I get on. I ordered both sets of tapes whilst waiting for a reply (problems with internet access at home and at work)

I received my Slow and Heavy video's from Cathe and I waiting for the others. I have also as per your suggestion bought myself some heavier dumbells and a barbell set in preparation with the intention of slowly going heavier.

Thanks a bundle
