PS question

I would be very grateful if somebody could answer this for me. How different is PS from MIS? (I have MIS and am thinking about buying PS.) For example, in PS, how many reps are there per set, and how long are the rest periods between sets?

Many thanks!
Sharon.

I've never really counted the exact number of reps, etc but it seems to me that PS is a bit slower paced workout with slightly more rest between sets. The upperbody portion in MIS can be completed in about 30 minutes however PS CST and PS BBA omitting the abs portion is a longer duration. I think Cathe may do one more exercise for each body part in PS but I'd have to really view the tapes more carefully to know. Have you checked the reviews on videofitnesss.com they sometimes give a very detailed content of the video.

The PS Series does 2 sets of either 10, 12 or 16 reps for the lower body. The rest between sets is short, usually just enough time to set the barbell down and swipe some sweat, then you're on to the next set. The longer reps are in the beginning when you do sets of lunges with dumbbells, but you do 1 set of 16 front lunges, then 1 set of 16 back lunges to equal your 2 sets. Then there are 2 sets of 16 rep static lunges. After that, there are I believe step ups which are 2 sets of 12 reps. After those, I believe everything else is in 2 sets of 10 reps.
And the floorwork section is like nothing mere words can describe! PS Series is a great series, and worth every dime for the whole set! Your body can only benefit from a second weight workout to rotate to, after it becomes too accustomed to MIS, you'll want to have a second workout to rotate to in order to continue to see results.
