Programmable DVD Players

LAST EDITED ON Nov-12-00 AT 03:51PM (Est)[p]My DVD Player does not seem to allow me to program my DVDs. This is becoming a little inconvenient during my current CTX rotation. While I can always select each chapter one at a time by going back to the main menu, I always thought that all DVD Players allowed you to select the Chapters in the desired order. A recent Consumer Reports did not even mention DVD Programming as an option. I know that some of you DVD owners can do this (Pamela P???). What model DVD players have this feature? THanks for the help, there may be a second DVD player on the Xmas wishlist.

Hi Felicia

Our DVD player is a Pioneer DV-C302D. It holds (and programs) up to three discs at a time. We got it late last year at Best Buy for $399, but more recently I've seen it for $349. If Lisa C. sees this, she bought the same model online recently, I believe for $349 from Amazon. Hopefully she'll see this and correct me if I'm wrong on either of those points. :)

I never knew there were some DVD players that didn't program until someone mentioned it on VF. What a raw deal! Now I always tell people to be sure to check for that, especially those who want to use their DVD player for workouts.

Thanks for the model number Pam

My DVD player was an XMAS gift last year so I never researched the features. I assumed that they all were programmable. If we get the new one, the older one will be for movies only.

Thanks again - Felicia
