Problems importing to workout blender

Hi,

I was hoping to buy some more downloads and take advantage of the 30% off sale for the month of August and play around with creating my own workouts in Workout Blender but I went to go use it to remember how it worked (and I also remembered that I had the most recent videos as Downloads and went to add them) and when I tried to add them I got a pop up box that said they were importing but nothing further happened. No progress bar and no importing. Just the pop up box that stayed on the screen for a long time. :/

I am using a Mac OSX 10.7.4 (2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo) and Workout Blender Version 0.9.4. I already have 6 videos imported that I must have done a while ago because I've never actually used the blender for anything yet. Any ideas on what I can do to remedy this? I will not be upgrading to the new operating system because my MacBook Pro isn't able to handle it (I think) and I'm not planning on getting a new Mac any time soon... so should I just hold off on buying the past downloads since I am not able to use the Workout Blender?

Thanks,
Lisa

Hello Lisa,

I'd like you to take a look at this thread and please follow through the steps I have outlined in my latest post: http://cathe.com/forum/f122/users-80%-complete-videos-not-importing-problems-280095/

However, this and a couple other problems sometimes crop up in Lion and Mountain Lion, which you can read about here: http://cathe.com/forum/f118/when-lion-working-beta-2-0-launched-290034/

Sorry for just providing links, but I think these two forum threads will help explain everything. Thanks!

I tried the Mac support tip in the first link and the instructions don't work for my version of OS X. I don't have the file path specified, so instead I tried other places where I had a library folder or preference folder and couldn't find any file or folder called "cathe". :( Oh, well. Guess now's not the time to stock up for use with the workout blender. Any idea on the time frame of the next major release or of any plans for minor updates to fix this bug?

Thank you for being so responsive. I really appreciate it.

Thank you, Linda, for bringing that up! Forgot that Lion and ML now hide the Library folders. In other news, please take a look at this post that I have been pasting in all the Mac Lion-related threads:

For all the Lion users, I have posted an experimental version of the Workout Blender on the download page (please click the button "Mac Lion or Mountain Lion Download") at http://cathe.com/workout-blender/ . Before installing this version, it is essential to completely remove your old versions by following the instructions here: http://cathe.com/forum/f122/users-80%-complete-videos-not-importing-problems-280095/ And please note that the instructions have changed a bit for Lion and Mountain Lion users!

This version should clear up a few of the problems with Lion, but being experimental it may introduce others! If you would like to go back to the pre-Lion version with the bug fixes (does not include the Lion-specific fixes, but does fix a couple importing problems), reverse the process by completely uninstalling the Lion version and then install the "Mac Pre-Lion" version on the Workout Blender download page.

Please let me know what you experience with it. Until the software with new libraries is released, this is about as much as we can do. Thanks!
