Good morning, Pregnant girls!

Just a quick post to get us started.

Feelin' good today? I am!
It's sunny and wonderful today. I'm hoping for a nice long walk outside.

Have a great week!

Woops Kate, we must've been starting the post out at the same time today!

Hi all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Morris - I still can't believe you're running 6 miles! You are the woman. How far along are you? Nice job...

Lisa - So glad you had a great u/s and are feeling better! That had to be so great to see that. I can't wait to get to that point.

Kate - Glad you're feeling much better and working out more. I hope I feel that good at 12 weeks too!

Hi Maggie/Jen/Kristan! How are you all doing?

Nothing new here. Trying to get some cooking, cleaning and exercise in today. I have my next u/s this Thursday, so praying for some good development. The baby should be around 8.5 weeks. Not sure if I'll see more than a blob again, but hoping for a stronger heartbeat this time!

hi everyone!

kate, so glad you are doing so well. enjoy your walk.

anne, my thoughts will be with you this week. i am pretty sure you should have a heart beat at this point. how do you feel?

lisa, hope you are feeling better this week.
hi kristan, maggie, and jen!

great weekend here - very relaxed and not much work, but i like that. i did the first 2 combos of amy's in the ring kickbox workout. if you are a kickbox fan who likes choreo as opposed to drills, i recommend it. it isn't as hhigh impact and high intensity as kbx, but i would not call it low impact either. it was fun, and i think i will like it not pregnant too. today i ran 7 mil and did back. has anyone else done a 1 body part per day rotation, and which dvds do you use? i did gs back and pyramid back. i am 29 weeks this week and reaLLY happy to count down to the baby. now we need a name....

Anne - I can't wait for your u/s on Thursday. You'll probably see more than you did last time. I think after 9 weeks is when they start to look more like a baby though.

Kate - I can't wait to start working out more. I think I'm over the worst of it though so I'm hoping it will get better until there is no more nausea at all.

Morris - How was your bbq?

I'm feeling so much better these days. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow and I must say the nausea has been at a minimum. Yesterday it was really mild and didn't last long at all. Smells are still bad, but at least I can avoid those for the most part. Planning on kickboxing and biceps today. Hope everyone's weekend is going great. It's raining and cold here for a change.

Lisa

Anne, Sounds like a nice day for you! I hope your u/s is encouraging!

Morris, Thanks for the review - I think I'll order it. Nice weekend!!

Lisa, Glad the nausea is letting up! Hope you got your WO in.

------------------------------
I have not done ANYTHING yet today...except take a 2+ hour nap!:) Now I'm really groggy but its time to make dinner so that should perk me up! After dinner I'll hopefully get time for a walk.

Morris - I'm actually feeling pretty good these days. Heartburn, but that's probably b/c I'm eating too much or spicy foods! x( I did have a heartbeat at 6wk4dys, but it was only 134 at that point, so this u/s the baby should be 8wk4yds, so hoping to see something and a stronger heartbeat!

You might have inspired me to go for a run, or at least a nice walk! ;-)

Hi,
I am still fighting this cold thing, and I am starting to wonder if it has turned into a sinus infection. I will call the dr. tomorrow. I have been fighting it since last Tuesday, and it has gotten worse. The pain in my sinuses is unbearable, but nothing except clear stuff is coming out, and I have a low-grade fever (99-100). I have been drinking tons of water, tea with lemon and honey, hot water with honey and lemon, chicken soup, juice, etc. Also, tried nasal lavage a few times (it's gross, but is supposed to work). I have not been really emotional since my first few weeks, but today I had a big breakdown because I can't stand feeling like this!!!!!! I want to be able to taste things, be able to have some energy (I just want to lay down and sleep), and I feel so bad that I am not able to play like usual with my DS. DH has been an absolute Godsend this weekend.
Sorry about the complaining, but I thought you'd ladies would understand.

Morris-I can't believe that you are that far along already. It seems like just yesterday you were telling us the good news! Wow-how time flies!

Hi Kate, Lisa, Anne, Kristan, Maggie!

Hopefully, tomorrow, I will feel a little better? Let's hope!

Didn't one of you girls have a sinus infection recently? Maybe I am imagining things, but I could have sworn that I had read that. If you did, what did you do to relieve symptoms naturally? And, if you needed antibiotics, what kind did you get?

Take care!
-Jen

Anne, Sorry about the heartburn, thankfully that's not something I get!

Jen, Sorry about the sinus infection - and the breakdown! Glad DH is around. Have you tried a chiropractor? It's my secret weapon for snotty noses. Your neck is likely out of alignment, probably caused by hips/low back being out of alignment, thank you pregnancy!

-----------
I had a nice 3.5 mile walk outside. Felt great!

Morris - Wow, you're getting really close. When I do one part per day, if I use dvds, I use the GS ones. I think the 4DS would work also, but I've never used PUB when doing one part per day. P90X has specific body parts, but I don't know if you have P90X. I think maybe it was Anne.

Jen - Have you tried saline drops in the shower for your nose? Did you call your ob about being sick? I know they'll prescribe antibiotics if it is a sinus infection and there are antibiotics that are safe during pg.

Kate - Glad you got your walk in!

Anne - Yikes with the heartburn. That's almost as nasty as nausea. I'm so happy that your pg has been going so well!

I did 4DS kickbox and then GS biceps only. I'm going to try and do some pilates abs later tonight because I'm feeling so jiggly. My belly is definitley no longer flat. I'm just happy to finally be able to workout and not feel nauseaus!

Lisa

jen, i had that horrid sinus thing. my head hurt so bad i did cry. tylenol did nothing too. after 6 days i went and got antibitoics and mucinex (which is otc). it took another 36 hours, but i finally felt better. now, i am 100 %. very debilitating. i am so sorry. go to the doc tomorrow if possible.

lisa, i do not have p90x. i was thinking about it though.... esp if i do not get sts.

anne, i forgot you did see a heartbeat. i am sure things will look more baby-like this week.

great walk, kate. i think i'd have to stop to pee if i went that far outside:( we took a family walk - probably about 2.5 miles.

Lisa, I'm gettin' jiggly with it too!

Morris, Your family walk sounds nice. How long will DH be home for?

Hello. Not much to report, except that we enjoyed lovely weather this weekend. Had a nice brunch with some of my husband's family today. Lots of gardening, kids bike riding, neighborhood walking, playgrounds, etc.

Jen- should I get the Dave's tanner? What was your experience?

My week was decent. My goal is 4 workouts a week.

Tues- gym and B+G bonus ball
Weds- HIS circuit
Fri- 4DS Bootcamp circuit with KB legs
Sat- gym (mostly walk/"run") with kimberly Spreen core (ball) and legs (cardiocamp)

A funny modification with the 4ds bootcamp- the drill near the end when you kick over the step with your hands on the step- I had to get out a child's chair for my hands because my stomach wouldn't clear the step otherwise- ha!

I am almost 28 weeks- about 10 days behind MOrris. I have my glucose thing tomorrow.

kristan

kristan, your post made me laugh!! my belly can clear the step, but this am when i did bm2 scrambled, my knee ups were definately pressing on the belly. what core work on the ball did you do? sounds like a fun weekend. great workouts!

i cannot believe it is monday already. i got out of bed early to work out, so that makes me happy. finally the sun is out here, so i am ready to go out and play with ds after work. have a good day everyone

Hi Ladies--

Just got back from a weekend on the Oregon Coast. It was very wet, rainy and windy and frankly I'm glad to be home. The freezer came open while we were gone, so there was a slight mess and some food went bad, but at least no one broke into our house (we live next to drug dealers) and the house did not burn down.

Anne--I'm praying for your baby and your ultra sound.

Morris--29 weeks along--you are on the final stretch! 11 weeks. We'll be counting down with you:7

Lisa--I'm glad you are feeling better. That is so nice.

Jen--can you call your ob's office and talk to the doctor on call? Maybe you could get into urgency care today to get started on a perscription. Make sure you keep that fever down. You sound soooo miserable--I don't blame you for breaking down.

Kristan--you are getting close too. How exciting. And I love the pregnancy modification you described.

Kate--I'm not just feeling jiggly, I am jiggly. Your walk sounds nice. The weather here is still pretty blah.

Take care
Maggie:)
Somewhere between 20 and 21 weeks.

Kristan, Sounds like you had a great weekend! How did your glucose test turn out? LOL on Bootcamp!

Morris, How was work today? Any surgeries?

Maggie, YUCK on the freezer! I HATE when that happens - so much $$$ lost! Any way to oust the druggies? Yikes! Are you scared for your kids to play outside?

Thankfully, I'm doing really well today. I'm pretty tired so I'll skip my WO and head to bed early, I think.

Jen, How are you feeling today?

Hi,
Thanks for your thoughts. I feel better today. No fever all day (yeah). I have been flushing my sinuses with a saline mixture that my dr. gave me, and it has been working well ( a little on the gross side, but working well). I am getting in all out, and I have 75% of energy back. I went to work, taught all day, and all was well.

Kristan-I didn't try that Dave's tanner yet with feeling all crappy. I also wanted to wait till my sis was back from her vacation to make sure that it was safe to use (she's a dermatologist, and she said it's perfectly fine). So, as soon as I am 100%, I plan to use it. I will try the fair shade first. I did smell it, and there is no smell (that's a plus).

Kate-I am still waiting for the pregzilla shirt to come back in stock. I want that one! Did you get yours yet? How are the sizes? Do you like them?

MOrris-I thought it was you with the sinus infection. Glad to hear you are over it. I don't feel any pressure today (thank God!). I think that that sinus flusing (lavage) is taking care of it. My nose it just a little raw.

I think I will take one more day of rest and get back into the exercise groove either tomorrow or Wed. Sometimes that helps to get the mucus flowing too!

Take care everyone!
-Jen

The glucose thing was fine. I think the dr. calls me if there are problems.

I got another ultrasound today. The baby measures about 29+ weeks; I am about 27+ weeks. Not surprising- my kids were all big. Fluid levels were good. Baby is breech, but I think a couple of my other kids have been breech and flipped before 32 weeks. i really hope this one flips head down soon.

Here was the wildest thing- the tech could see hair! Have any of you ever seen that? My other 3 kids were born with fuzzy hair, but I never can recall seeing the hair on an ultrasound.

Maggie- I hear you on the freezer and the drug dealers. I lost a bunch of stuff with an open freezer. I was so mad at myself. As for the drug dealers, we've got them and common thugs and criminals all over the place. Is there a weed/seed program or drug task force you can call? I know when our neighborhood association safety committee notified the police, the police put surveillance on the house in question and it was shut down quickly.

Jen, Glad you're feeling better. I've always wanted to try the salinebut I'm too afraid of the stinging! I got one of my shirts and a skirt. Both very comfy. 2 more shirts should be coming this week. As far as size I'm a small/medium size person and the shirts fit well thru the upperbody - the "bely" of it will have enough room to grow but looks appropriate to wear now. It doesn't have that baggy/maternity look to it but it will stretch out nicely without being clingy - does that make sense. Coupon code for 15% off is fitpreg.

Kristan. Glad the glucose went well. YIKES on a big baby! My girls were 7 & 6 pounds. Little Isabel (6 lbs, 3 oz) literally slid right out (half a push!). I remember reading something about natural ways to get the baby to turn - I'll let you know. CRAZY on the hair!!! Gina had quite a bit - first haitcut around 6 months and then regularly after that. Isabel's took a little longer.

Tomorrow (Tues) I meet with my midwife. Its a 2-hour appt and we should be able to hear the hb. I'm so excited.

DH wants to do work stuff - at least I know I'm needed/wanted!:+

kristan, i would love to measure that way. do you deliver early too or just have big babies? i had an us with ds at 28 weeks and he too had hair. it was crazy. of course, when it all fell out, he was bald for 1.5 years:)

kate, hope you are rested today! i think you asked last week and i forgot to reply, but i am a veterinarian.

jen, so glad you are feeling better!

maggie, yuck on the freezer - glad you had a good trip. how are your knees?

i slept in today - i have the day off. i hope to run and do chest during ds's nap. i could not sleep last night at all until very late. oh well. bbl

Hi everyone:)

The drug dealer situation is scary, but controlled, if that makes sense. The dealer is only 18 and is nice and polite with us as are his 5 younger siblings. It's the "clients" who are creepy. We have done what we can with this situation. The police are aware and have something going on to moniter him. I don't know why it's so hard to get anything done though. I'm always a little nervous when we go out of town, not of the dealer himself doing anything, but of his "clients". Right now he is "only" dealing pot, if it were meth or crack or something harder, the police would probably be more motivated.

I lost a bunch of chicken breast in the freezerx(, but at least it was the small indoor freezer and not the huge one we keep in the garage.

Jen--glad to hear you are feeling better.

Kristan--I always measure waaaay ahead--like weeks. Why did you need another ultrasound--because you were measuring big or something else? How cute with the hair--all our babies have hair, but I've never seen it on an ultrasound.

Kate--it's okay to skip a workout. The older I get, pregnancy itself feels like a workout.

Morris--a vet--cool. I wondered what you did. We have to take our kitties to be "fixed" this week and you probably know all about that:p

I'm off to clean out one of the junk rooms in the basement.....oh joy.....

Maggie:)
