Hi, All,

After read many of threads in this forum, I realized that trimming down fat is more in clean eating than anything else. I just ordered GoWear and am very excited about the acurate calories burnt count. Now I need help with eating.

I just saw an e-mail that Precision Nutrition came out Precision Nutrition System V3.

For those who use it before, could you give me some insight of it? Will it help my daily food planning and eating. My daily schedule is very hectic. I have two young children, 4 and 11 and a huband to take care of. I am also working full time - a demanding job. I have to work over time a couple days every month (really late, like getting home after 8:30pm). Do you think these V3 will fit my life style? Will the meal be appeal to young kids? I just don't have time to prepare for two sets of meal:eek:

Thanks

Thanks, eraslan. Now I am getting hesitated. If I can get most of info free, why should I pay for so much?:(

Can anyone in cathe.com recommend any healthy but practical meal plans?

Thanks

When you pay the price, you get a combination of the convenience of having all the information in one place (though I did find a lot more detailed articles by Berardi online) + (relatedly) spending less time digging this information + access to member zone (I actually registered before I purchased PN--the only thing I remember that I could not access were attachments but I did not spend to much time in the member zone before I paid for it so I may be remembering it wrong) + satisfaction of curiosity. For me it was really this last one, so I really do not regret having paid for it--there is no other way to satisfy curiosity.

His book Metabolism Advantage contains practically the same information and has meal plans too. It is $16.47 at Amazon, so if money is any consideration, knowing what I know now, I would just get that.

Yep. Dr. Berardi is a man on a mission (and a really HOT guy, btw ;)) and a very prolific writer so his message (and the details of it) are everywhere (especially at T-Nation.com where there are around 150 of his articles, and FigureAthlete.com where there are only 4 but they're specifically geared towards women). I've never read Metabolism Advantage, I still have yet to get through everything in the PN manual, nor have I cooked a thing from the PN cookbook because, as I've said here before, I'm a kitchen idiot so I'm... afraid, I guess. I've never known what I'm doing in the kitchen. God, I haven't even made a serious protein shake yet... What does that tell you? But people who cook seem flat-out crazy for the recipes in the PN cookbooks. Meanwhile, I have the keys to a much better diet but I'm over here STILL doing the chicken/fish/egg whites thing. So, if you cook, you should love it.

If you go to PrecisionNutrition.com and sign up for their e-mails those are very informative AND you'll get the one thing that helped me in a massive way: Berardi's Ten Rules. Honestly, follow the ten rules and you will be well on your way to a serious shift in body composition. Following The Rules has been THE thing that finally got me dropping pant sizes again, after 6 months of no progress. Now if I would just cook something...

About the cookbooks: Volume 1 is part of the PN system and can't be purchased separately. Volume 2 can only be purchased separately and is a really classy looking thing with big, yummy photos. The Desserts book is a download-only thing and I think you have to subscribe to the e-mails (which ARE free) to be able to access that. Can you believe I'm so scared of my kitchen I haven't even attempted to make a PN dessert? DO NOT BE ME! The recipes sound really good...

Finally, I recommend you head over and read his articles. He's a scientist AND a serious weight trainer (training himself and high level athletes) so he really knows his stuff and won't steer you wrong. In fact, at both websites there are A LOT of truly excellent scientifically-based-but-written-for-the-lay-person articles over there from in-the-trenches authors (I especially like anything from Chad Waterbury, Rachel Cosgrove, Jen Heath, and Wet Wolf, in addition to Berardi). TN and FA used to be a single site until someone realized men and women are often after very different things and they became separate sites. Still, both are loaded with articles full of info to help you get where you want to be and you'll learn so much.

Thank you so much ladies.

Stacey, I got your PM. Thanks. It looked like the rules definitely took an effect on you. I saw somewhere in this forum saying that sales is always going on. I might just study his free articles and rules first and see how I am doing. I like to cook. But I just don't get time any more.

I have never been a desert person. Baking cookie is OK. But cake? It always looked nice and puffy. But as soon as I get it out, it flat.
