Hi everyone....
I know I don't post here often but I lurk daily. I'm just beside myself right now, my 7 week old Golden Retriever Lucie is at the vets as we speak. Last night she had loose stools, and this morning around 11 she started to get diarrhea and vomiting. So I rushed her over to the vets. They did blood and fecal tests on her...and her white cells are up and she has a small amount of parasites in her stool. As of right now she tested negative for parvo, but the vet says she is still at a medium risk. I'm just so scared that we are going to lose her. I know that most dogs don't survive parvo.;(
I have another problem that I'm not sure how to handle though. (and I don't want to sound heartless here) but the vet said that what ever it is she would have picked it up while she was still at the breeder's. So I'm wondering if we should be asking him to help with the bill. It is going to be expensive because she will need to be in there overnight and at least tomorrow...maybe longer. I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is with this. I mean I don't really care, I will pay to save her, but I'm wondering if he should help with the bill.;(
