Prayers for Kitty

RapidBreath

Cathlete
My kitty Maria went in for dental surgery today. They had to pull 13 teeth. I asked the surgeon if I had done something wrong, and she said, no, that it was genetic. I am just beside myself. I love that kitty. I would do anything to take care of her. She was a rescue, when we got her they told us she was a 'barn cat', but it turned out that she was just stressed out. Once we got her home, we discovered that she was a 'cushions and cream' cat. She would much prefer to be petted and loved than to catch a mouse.

Please keep her in your prayers tonight. They tell me she came through the surgery, I'm just worried about her recovery. She won't understand why I left her in some place and the people hurt her (she was under anesthesia, but its still 13 teeth.) All she has left are her canines and incisors. She never cried. I didn't know she was hurting.:(:(:(:(

Thanks in advance.

Alisha

Prayers for your kitty to feel better and she will after she has had the teeth removed. Both my cats had to have full mouth extractions last year. They had stomatitis and had to have all remaining teeth removed and they are doing fine. NO more sore mouths. I know how worried you must be and it sounds like kitty is very lucky to have you taking care of and loving her so much. My only consolation with my guys' extractions are no more dentals!

I will pray for your kitty Alisha.

Having two cats of my own, I think of them as my kids and I love them with all my heart. It's very hard to see a part of your family suffer :(.

I will pray for a quick recovery for your sweetie. The Kitty Kollective - 5 here - including 2 super-lovey former barn cats - also send their best wishes.

I feel for you. I will keep your baby and you in my prayers. :)

I know from experience, that leaving you four legged babies at the vet is never easy. I always worry about them.....up until the minute they are in my arms again. But, they are always fine!!!! :)

Good News!

Maria is home now. She did really well, is eating, and hoping around very well. She was very happy to come home.

All of your support, prayers, and hugs have meant the world to me. Thank you so much:D:D

Yeah, yippee, she's home and doing great! I just got on the computer and was going to send prayers out but I can see that everybody else's prayers worked great! Sounds like she has already adjusted. You're a great mommy for taking such good care of her!

Continued good health to her and peace of mind to you!

Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. Maria is doing well. She just hates taking her medicine. She is eating soft food and is resting a lot. The only thing is the pain medicine makes her loopy and a little uncoordinated.
