Powerstrike?

I LOVE POwerstrike! The best kickboxing out there, IMO. Unfortunately, the best workouts (pre-Milleniums, there are about a dozen or so) are all OOP. And the only one on DVD is not the best of the current 3 as far as camera work (close-up of an arm-pit anyone?) or as far as intensity. It is good as a forms training session, as it starts with some very specific punches, and gradually increases in intensity.

If you can find some of the earlier Powerstrikes somewhere (and can tolerate bad camera and just-o.k. sound for the sake of an excellent workout--the earlier the workout, the worse the camera work, the very first ones make me dizzy when I look at them, like somebody's 10-year-old brother got an old-fashioned camera for christmas and wanted to try it out).

www.collagevideo.com carries Millenium 3, and you can watch a short excerpt of it on their site.

Thank you Kathryn. I noticed that Collage has only the third. Is the third the only one on DVD? And I hate to ask cuz I feel stupid after reading for so long, but whatis meant by "IMO"?
I see "IMO" all the time, and never asked.

>Is the third the only one on DVD?

Yes, it is.

What is meant by "IMO"?= "In my opinion" (Some people use "IMHO" --"in my humble opinion"--but I don't believe in false humility, so I don't.) ;-)
It takes a while to pick up those abbreviations, doesn't it? I saw one the other day that took me a while to figure out. Here are some other ones you may or may not know:
TIA ("thanks in advance")
DH, DS, DD ("Dear husband", "dear son", "dear daughter")
HTH ("Hope that helps")
LOL ("laugh out loud")
ROFLMAO ("rOlling on the floor, laughing my a@# off")

I bought them after Pinky told me on the road trip how good they are. I have Powerstrike 2 & 3. I LOVE Powerstrike 2. IMO ;) #3 is fun, too, but not nearly as intense as #2 and (I've heard) #1. I've heard a lot about 1 and 2 being extremely intense. The first time I did #2, I was wiped out by the end. It was as close to Cathe level as a non-Cathe video can be! I would even actually rank it higher than KPC!

You can get 1, 2, and 3 from homeworkout.com but I think 1 & 2 only are available on VHS.

LOL!!! The use of acronyms just about drives me crazy as I have no idea what half of them mean. I usually keep a window open with forum acronyms so I can quickly refer to it when in doubt about the meaning.

I had always wanted to try the Powerstrike Millennium workouts too. Since I didn't want to spend alot of money on workouts I wasn't sure I would like, I kept an eye out for them on ebay. Eventually all three of them appeared and I got them for a total of $50. I am very happy with the workouts. Even though I'm not a kickbox person the nonimpact workouts came in handy when I was training for this year's marathon. The first two are available on VHS only. Out of the three I like the PS2 the best!

Thank you Kathryn, always a wealth of great information, that is you. I was wondering what DH was too.
I sure wish the Powerstike people would put the first two workouts on DVD. I will wait patiently (or not).
LOL. Ha, I used one!
