powerstrike advice?

Hi,
Im interested in getting the powerstrike millenium 1 or 2, I love kickbox but need to workout to a different set since I always do Cathe's can anyone suggest if these videos are good.
I like upbeat motivating instructors such as Cathe, I did not like tae bo due to it's very, very fast pace. I found it to be just a bit too much, is powerstrike more like Cathe or Tae bo?
Please advise.

Well, I really wouldn't compare Powerstrike to either. I actually enjoy all 3 for different reasons and "to me" all 3 are different workouts.

CardioKicks and Tae Bo are more what I'd call "kickboxing with a hi/lo flavor" and Powerstrike is more actual kickboxing. It is low impact, no jumping around except for the occasional jumping jacks which you can omit if you choose. It's more drill style, sort of choreographed kickboxing drills. I think Powerstrike compliments CardioKicks since it is low impact and we all need an impact break sometimes! :)

I would say Powerstrikes are more like Tae Bo, workout-wise. I only have Millenium #1 but have all the advanced Tae Bo's made. Both of these series are lower impact than Cathe, IMHO, and are more Tae Kwon Do oriented.

Instructor-wise, they are all very different. Billy is, well, Billy. He's a bald-headed, sweaty man, in your face kind of guy. I did his workouts for 2 years and I really enjoyed them. The 2 gals from Powerstrike are significantly more subdued than Billy. Ilaria is very intense, but in a quieter manner, and it's kind of funny watching her and her partner jockey for lead time. Billy REALLY gets at your abs without even needing to put you on the floor. Powerstrike #1 really gets at your glutes. Cathe, I find to be more cardio-oriented--mixing in plyo work with the kickboxing.

I love Cathe to death but for kickboxing, she is still very new to the genre. Ilaria and Billy have been doing it for ages and it shows.
