Power Hour

Gogigi...I haven't done that one for a while...that was the very first tape (along with CK) that I ordered from Cathe...that one really DOES kick butt! I've been so preoccupied with ME that I sort of forgot about that one...I may have to pull it out! :)
 
I remember the first time with Power Hour. When I picked up my weights, I made sure to go a little lighter than Cathe, and was very surprised when she did biceps (or is it tricps) with 15#. I thought "that will be way to light". HA!

I personally find endurance work like this much more challenging for me than heavy weight work.

I didn't even do the lunge section the first time through. It took me a few times to work up to doing the whole thing (and then, still with some longer pauses than Cathe has!).

But I've learned to love workouts that I have a hard time getting through the first time. It gives me something to work up to (and after a while, I was able to do heavier weights than Cathe uses on most of the exercises! Of course, if I went back to it now, since I haven't been doing endurance work as much, I'd probably drop down again.
 
OH GREAT! Thanks for the reminder of what a butt kicking I'm in for tonight. I haven't done Power Hour in MONTHS and am planning on dusting it off when I get home from work.

You know what guys? I'm not as sore today as I thought I would be. I had to go really light on the weights compared to what I do for say the Pyramids or even Muscle Endurance and I could barely squeeze out the last rep on some of the exercises but I have a slight worked feeling but no major soreness today! It is so true that a "new" workout can shake things up so much...love each and every workout I own by Cathe! I hope to complete my Pure Strength series soon.

Heh heh... give it another day Angela. They don't call it "Delayed" onset muscle soreness for nothin'! }(

I know for me, it's always the second day after a strength workout that I feel the most sore. For some reason, it's always PH that gets me the most. Anyway, congrats on getting through it your first time - it's a great workout and you will find great results!
 
it's one of my favorites - i just did it this morning! what a great way to get a full body workout in a short period of time.
