Power Hour revisited...WOW!!!!

So this morning I decided to do Power Hour because it has been months since this one has factored into one of my rotations. All I can say is WOW!!! This is one tough workout, especially if I try to match Cathe for the weight on some the exercises. I was particularly fried after the shoulder and triceps songs. What a great workout!!! Very effective workout, good soundtrack, and I liked how you say the crew using all different levels of weight. I'm going to try to make a point to include this one more often.

Anyone else think Power Hour is an overlooked workout?
 
I didn't get PH til a few months ago....I absolutely love it. I have been doing a P90X rotation but I have added some upper body work and it usually is from PH. The shoulder work is awesome...:)...Carole
 
I've had PH since it first came out and as much as I like it, I have serious trouble doing it..:( I've tried it three or four times and the back segment is just too hard on my forearms and the lunges really hurt my calves.
 
Power Hour always gets me when I go back to it! No matter how fit I think I am, the endurance aspect of the workout really taxes my muscles. Hmmm...maybe I should get it out this week and do it?
 
I love power hour..I visit that one quite frequently..I feel that I get a full and balanced workout with that one
 
I agree with Kathryn, I have never been fit enough to breeze through this one. It always sharpens me up.

I have developed the bad habit of taking breaks through most videos so this one can take me 90 minutes, if I try the whole thing in one go!
 
Yes, me! I am currently on an all-Power Hour rotation. I like to do one workout at a time and really get into it. I absolutely LOVE PH for the following reasons:

1. NO QUESTION THAT IT'S WORKING: It takes so little time, yet it's one of the only workouts where I literally can't use the worked muscle group to it's full capacity for close to a half hour after I'm done.

2. THE MUSIC!!! So motivating! I wish Cathe used music like this for every workout.

3. NO STABILITY BALL: I know it's good for us, but it's a pleasure to get away from it sometimes.

4. FUN!!: It's the most un-boring workout around. You never have time to get bored of a particular exercise. You do each exercise once, and you're done with it!

Anyone who doesn't own PH: What are you waiting for? Buy it NOW! :D

It's the way Cathe changes the counts from 1-up/3-down to 3-up/1-down to 2-up/2-down, and so forth, that KILLS me. Until now, there are times when I rest even BEFORE she does the crazy 8s for biceps.}( And my weights are at their lowest for this workout. Cathe really kicks butt here. In a lovely way.:)

I completely agree! Just did it on Monday for the first time in a while and my biceps are still burning! GOTTA LOVE IT!

I really want to like this workout because it is very effective but it has such a huge dread factor for me that I rarely do it! In fact, it's been so long that I've almost forgotten why I hate it! I am doing a P90X recovery week this week so I may revisit it, just to refresh my memory!
 
I just finished PH not too long ago. The squats just about kill me! Other than that, I really do like this workout, I feel like evrything has been worked completely. It forces me to push myself. The music is great too.
 
Hey Pinky: LOL! You cracked me up, there aren't too many people that we can say kick our butts in a lovely way. So funny and so very true, but that's our Cathe!!

I just completed this one for the second time this week ( based on the Sept Rotation), and I just love it! My arms are literally shaking by the end of the triceps segment!
I had just done CW a few days before, so the music in PH doesn't really do much for me in comparision with the music in CW.
Gotta love that "Buttercup"!:7
 
I really like this too and also Muscle endurance I find really kicks me too different exercises but moves quickly I hated both when I got htem acouple years ago cuz they were sooo HARD but now I do at least 1 or the other once a week if not twice so I never get out of practice and they really work for me too I also like the music but I also like the music in CW too I may just ahve to get up early tonite and ME or PH
