Power Hour Question

Shaz

Cathlete
Hi all!

I did Power Hour for the first time last night, and I have a question. In between each song, there is an explanation by Cathe - do you skip these to make the workout more intense, or are you supposed to listen to these each time to give the body a break in between working each body part?

Also, was it really only an hour? I was sweating so much it seemed like a lot longer!!

Thanks in advance!
Sharon.

Hi Sharon!

I use the time that Cathe explains the next moves to get a drink of water, plus stretching more to release any tension. (or adjusting weights)

The breakdown for PowerHour is:
Warm-up~5 1/2 mins.
Strength training exercises~40 mins.
ABS~ 6 mins.
Stretch~3 minutes

Sooo, it is actually under an hour. Probably with the explanation at the beginning, it might total an hour. Isn't it the greatest workout? One of my favs!

RE: Hi Sharon!

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is a great workout. I can't wait to do it again, but I've just come down with a bit of a cold, so I'll have to stop myself for a few days.

BTW, what results have you found with this workout, and in what time period?

Sharon.

Hi Sharon!

Sorry to hear about your cold. Get WELL!!! As far as what results I have seen with PH, it would be hard for me to single out the results with just THAT tape. I have always used it as my total-body routine while using splits routines in the same week, such as PS or SH earlier in the week. In other words, I would do, say all 3 PS tapes(or S&H) M, T & W and then PH on Fri. or Sat. I must say though, since throwing S&H & PH into the mix of all my other tapes, I have seen much better upper body definition. I have also seen a slight improvement in the lower body, but it still needs some more work. I would say it took approximately 4-6 weeks to start to see the results. I am a happy camper!!:7 I have worked out for years but it wasn't until I added PH & SH that it really shook up my routine. Am I making ANY sense to you at all???? Do you have S&H? If not, I would highly recommend the Series. Have fun and let me now how it is going.
