Cathlete
Hey ladies! I hope you don't mind me starting us off this week. I'm just so excited to be back in the swing of things. Yahoo!!! Justin is doing marvelous. He's starting to sleep up to 5 hours at a time now. Pretty amazing. Simply put, life could not get any better. :)

Here's my log:
Sun: --
Mon: TS#1
Tue: TS#2
Wed: TS#3
Thurs: TS#4
Fri: TS#5 (modified abs) + Imax2 Intervals 1-5
Sat: Step Blast (skipped the challenge)

Next week I plan on doing CTX Series. These shorter segments seem to be gliding me back into things. I can already feel my abs tighten up a bit. :)

Melanie, so happy to have you joining us in our workout logs. Wow, justin is already sleeping 5 hour stretches, Alexis didn't sleep that long until about 12 weeks. Alexis is doing well, she is right now sleeping stading up in her johnny jumper, don't know how she is able to sleep this way, but it gives me a little break. We finally took out the exersaucer, but found Alexis was too short and couldn't reach the bottom so we added a phinebook and blanket and now she can reach. She is almost 6 months and toys is for 4 month olds and up. Reminded me of when I started driving and all my friends offered me their phone books to sit on , anyway, she now loves her excersaucer. We went yesterday to the movies with a few other babies and moms, unbelievable, Alexis was excellent. my weight continues to flexuate by a pound or so nut I am pretty close to preprego weight. Enough babbling, here is my workout log did bodyblast premix rotation with a few add ins.

Briee

Edited to say that I was in a "hormonally charged state" last night and probably shouldn't have "voiced in haste". Sorry guys!! Carry on!!;) ;) ;)

Hallo everyone!

This week has been pretty slow exercise wise, still trying to heel my lower back. It's a lot better, but I really want to play it safe and not do any jumping until it's totally healed. I'm usually a real cardionut, so it's been nice to notice that I've enjoyed doing only strength workouts too. I used to not be able to do just a strength workout and feel "worked out", but now I'm actually starting to enjoy that too. So something good is coming out of not being able to go full blast...:D :D

My log for this week:

Mon: SS
Tue: off
Wed off
Thu: PUB + Cardio & weights Abs
Fri: Great weighted workout (K.Voight)
Sat: off
Sun: Power hour

I hadn't done Power hour for quite a while, and WOW, did that feel much heavier than I remembered! It's strange how these workouts can feel so different on different days, depending on how you feel. It's great though, that's how different workouts keep becoming new and old favourites! Anyway, think I'm going to be really sore tomorrow, I'll probably take another day off (without a quilty conscience!), and enjoy the sleep-in!

Have a great week, everybody!

Maria

HI gals... How are ya'? I can not believe how busy I am! Between my 3 yr old and baby Tyler I hardly have a spare moment.... thus the reason I am hardly ever around anymore :-(

Melanie - 5 hours!!??? I am soooo jealous! Are you still breastfeeding? I have been supplementing Tyler with Formula as I am not producing enough milk to keep him satisfied. Not sure how much longer I will be breastfeeding although I do love it.

I am doing the Body for Life program again and am LOVING it! I have lost another 7 lbs in the past 2 wks and it feels really good! Now if I could just lose the rest of this booty and saddle bags I would be just fine!

Here is my workout log for the week:)

Sun - Timesaver #3 (leg workout)
Mon - Timesaver #4 / Plus #2, hi/lo, abs on ball
Tues - PUB incl abs
Wed - Step Blast
Thurs - Killer step class at gym + full lower body weight workout!
Fri - Rest
Sat - 25 min. HIT run on treadmill

So why is your screen name Shopaholic? What do you like to shop for? I am a shopaholic too. Just thought it might be fun to chat and see what we might have in common.

Pardon my grammical errors, typing one handed as Justin is nursing. Feel free to send me updated pics of your pumpkins! [email protected] I have yet to see little Noah or Tyler... ;-)

Briee, you know you don't have to make apologies around us. FYI I have delibrately been staying away from that subject. I'm glad I did noe, b/c I'm sure I woulda been upset too. I don't even watch yhe evening news b/c it's so darn depressing. I can imagine (after knowing many of you ladies for several mos now) that we all have similiar values. Anyway, I'm glad you haven't abandoned us!!!

Fitnut, yes I'm still breastfeeding exclusively. I feel so fortunate. I also pump 4-8oz daily to freeze for future use. As of today, I have 35 bags stored!! The nice thing about pumping is you can actually 'trick' your body into thinking it needs to produce more than it actually does. Since you have that pump, you might be able to build your milk back up. Consider talking to our lactation consultant about this.

Maria, I'm glad your back is feeling better.
Maggie, where are you? ;-) Miss you.

Briee, I read the article on line and feel we must take it with a grain of salt. The 25 year old bachlor, I bet will be a 35 year old married dad. Come on a 25 year old man is like a 16 year old girl, no offense if any men are reading. in terms of the housing developement, that is real extreme, who knows the child haters probably were mistreated children, yes the therapist in me is coming out. In terms of the general population who choses not to have children I praise them because not everyone is meant to be a parent. Unfortunately in my line of work I see many such cases, and people having children for the wrong reasons. But zbriee keeps using this forum to vent by the way how is your dvd problem going? Emy, Maggie, where are you?

Hi! Well, I must admit that my curiousity got the best of me and I read the WHOLE THREAD pertaining to "childless by choice." In my opinion, there is no reason to argue with people who don't want to have children... but at least one or two rude people brought up overpopulation, and that really makes me fume. It is none of anyone else's business how many children other people have! And if they feel overpopulation is a problem, they should set the example by voluntarily removing themselves from mortality. That said, my conclusion of the whole thread is that no one is going to change any one else's mind, so why argue about it!

On that note, I guess I will post last week's workout log.

Mon- ME/BC bonus combo
Tue- SB + SJ&P abs
Wed- SS
Thu- KP&C
Fri- L&G Xtreme standing only
Sat- Imax 2 6-10 premix

Max is doing well. He is 6 months now. I can't believe it. I started feeding him rice cereal today. He ate it and seemed to like it. Hopefully it sits well in his stomach.

Emy, I had to smile at your take on overpopulation. I'm so sick of hearing this argument as well. And you're right why argue about it. This is a diverse crowd and were here for "fitness" encouragement. On that, we can somewhat agree. I didn't even read the article, it was the responses that made me so sad. Oh well, over and done (I hope). I guess it's good that I missed the whole Passion thread as well. More later, my little guy is screaming downstairs.

Hey, he has had diahrrea for almost 5-6 days now, kind of slimy and watery. Anyone know what this is from? I didn't alter his formula content. Has anyone experienced this? He goes like every 2 hours now and it sounds like it's squirting out. He's happy and no fever. Better run.

Briee

Briee, no personal experience with the diarrhea thing. As a pharmacist, I'd recommend that you watch for signs of dehydration (no/less urination, dry mouth, loss of elasticity in skin). If Noah becomes dehydrated you'll want to initiate some Pedialyte. YOu might want to do this anyway. If he develops a fever, contact your dr.

FitNut, don't be too jealous of those 5-hour nights. They seem to be long gone this week. Little Justin is smack in the middle of his "6-week" growing spurt. I'm nursing him every 2-3hours. I'm soooooo sleep deprived that I cried most of the day yesterday. I tried really hard to take naps when he did, but I only got about 20-minutes at a time & after trying 3 times I gave up. I became more and more ornary (sp?) with each attempt. I was not a happy camper. Feel better today. :)

Melanie...I was jealous too, but for the last two nights, Noah has been better. If I keep him up until 8pm or so he has slept until 1:30-2 am and then he slept until 7:30 (although he stirred once, but didn't get up). I was in sleep heaven. This morning he woke at 4:30 and I gave him a bottle and he did alright for another two hours. I know how you feel. When he was up every two hours at night, I was crabby all day and you DO get even more mad when you try to lay down and get woken up at each attempt!!! BUT he is so smiley and even giggles now and it's worth it all!!!! The diarrhea thing doesn't seem to make him sad at all, but of course I worry. I'm using a little more of the alimentum stuff and less of the homemade to see if this helps. Hey..did you have any coupons for the similac alimentum??? Major bucks!!!!

I was doing side lat raises and did an extra set and pulled a muscle (which the chiropractor said "really isn't a pulled muscle" but back/spinal related.) I really don't care what it is....it hurts! So I'm into the chiro every two days while he gets things back in alignment. I HATE MISSING WORKOUTS, next to not getting sleep...this makes me crabbiest!!

So how are you enjoying the IS dvd's....any you want to part with??....I'm still thinking about this!!! I think you'll learn to love the PUB/PLB DVD, but in the event that you don't...;) ;) ;)

Briee

Almost forgot....I saw your DVD advise posted on the other thread Melanie....yes sanity is very important - can't put a value on that....problem is dh is not understanding the Cathe/sanity thing quite as much as me.

He'll come around....just a few more crabby mornings should do it (oh I didn't say that, did I??? )

Briee

Briee, I haven't really done the IS DVD's yet. Still easing into things. I did do IMax2 though. Next week I'm going to begin to do things a little bit more intense. I go to dr tomorrow. It'll be nice to get her offical okay.
Justin's crying, gotta go. Oh, I think the coupons are for any Similac. I'll take a look at them and let you know. I dropped a whole bunch of at church nursery. Baby's crying....
