the days are so long, the nights are so short!!!:p

we go to the vet this afternoon - outing #2!

candra, what is ryders middle name?

Hey Kate,
It does seem like that at first, doesnt it-the night goes by too quick!;) I think you must just get used to less sleep after awhile-Riley is 5 months old and he is still up a few times thru the night. I have never had babies that sleep thru the night early on-its usually closer to a year.;)

Thats good on getting out already tho! Has Julia been an easy baby...it always helps when the 3rd one is easy going!:p

well on til later....Hi to all the moms to follow!!

angela - our 1st took 18 MONTHS:eek: to sleep thru the night! our 2nd was prob. around 6 months???? julia has been a GREAT baby. no complaints. when riley is up does he just eat & go back to sleep??

kate- ryder's middle name is ranger (mike picked it) he really wanted that to be his first name but i refused:) i wanted to name him ryder davis but i had to compromise. we actually didn't have him named until a few minutes b/f we left the hospital b/c we had to sign the birth certificate:D good luck on going to the vet today. how does julia do in th car?

good morning to everyone else!!

candra

candra, so you've got a mike too?! I love DS's name - very masculine. Julia did great in the car y'day - slept almost the whole time!;) Hopefully today goes just as well.

Made banana bread with Isabel - the days she doesn't go to preschool are hard. GOtta fill a whole day up!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi ladies!
Quick post: Charlie just woke up and is fussing.

Kate--Yey for the outings! Charlie screamed this morning as I dropped Henry off at preschool. We got there too early, and he doesn't like it when the car is not moving. Plus, he was due for a bottle! It was a little stressful. Henry also was 18 months before he slept through the night! He would wake up and not go back down and would wind up in our bed. Eventually, my pediatrician told us to put him in bed with Oliver, which we did, and they've been bunking together ever since. No more night wakings, well rarely. Just got bunk beds this past year.

Hi to Angela and Candra and all the other mommies!!!
----
Actually got some good work done on the newsletter yesterday/this a.m. Now I'm off to feed Charlie. He's already up to almost 4 oz a feeding! He's going to be HUGE!!! LOL Oh, I got the hospital pictures back today. Do you guys get these? Charlie wins for ugliest picture of the three. DH laughs at me for ordering the pictures, but they are SO bad that they are cute. Charlie looks drunk in his. One eye open one eye closed, pursed lips and the nurses gave him a terrible "curl" in his hair (i.e. mini-fauxhawk). Anyway... better go. Have a great day gals!

Kate-when Riley wakes up to eat he does go right back to sleep-he actually loves to snuggle in bed with us...he is such an easy baby too!:D

Candra- i love the little guys name!

Stephanie-we have 4 Charles in our family-2 of which are called Charlie!;)Nice name!

Just read up on yesterday's posts and wanted to reply to a couple:

Jen--I've not been keeping anything on the incision after showers, just blotting it dry with a towel. Maybe I should do as you're doing. Sorry your mom is leaving. I know it's hard to say goodbye to such good help! As for Aidan's circumcision, our insurance (which is good) also didn't want to pay for Henry's when he was born, but I argued it and won. You may want to follow up with them.

Candra--Circumcisions are hard. My OB did Charlie's while we were in the hospital, and he was a bleeder. He had to have silver nitrate put down there to stop the bleeding (yikes), but it healed nicely.

Kate--Circumcisions are tricky, but I've had to clean up my poopy niece before, and it's much harder to clean up a poopy girl  with all of the creases and whathaveyou.

OK enough circumcision talk. I suppose after tending to three of them, I feel like a penile expert. :D

Hope everyone is having a good day! I'm going to do a special sleep dance tonight for all of us. Let's hope it works!! ;)

stephanie - sorry for the stressful am...... ......bunks for our older girls too.... no hosp pix here - downside to a home birth....

hi angela!

Hi everyone!! Sorry, this is going to be just a quick post so no personals. I'm in the midst of trying to finish up work and get dinner ready for tonight. Went to the dr. today and scheduled my induction for next Thrus at 8am. I am 3cm, but only 60% effaced and a -3. Baby hasn't dropped yet and I don't think I'll be going on my own before the 30th.

Hope everyone is feeling okay. I know there's lots of lack of sleep on this board and busy mommies!
