Wow--you ladies are active!

I started my STS rotation yesterday with Imax 2 and today is M1 CSB/yoga abs. I cannot wait. After lots of clean eating I ate sugar two days in a row and feel like crap, so I'm ready to clean up again too, especially now that I've started STS--I guess I had a final hurrah (although our Valentine's Day feast will definitely not be clean, soooo....:p:eek::p:eek:....)

Later--

Maggie:)

I rarely post but...

I have total stroller envy and have been eyeing the bumbleride online for months! I am not a runner but am a serious walker and living in an urban clime need the all terrain type to really get around (snow piles, big puddles, potholes, cracked sidewalks, and other such hazards). around here you don't really see anyone with bumbleride so I did a ton of internet research. I really liked the valco tri-mode also but for the price the bumbleride comes with all the bells and whistles that you would pay for separately with valco and others (careseat adaptor, footmuff, cupholder, etc.). and someone mentioned they raised the price - it's the 2009 that is priced higher so just buy the 2008 model on amazon or through an independent retailer. some of the 08 colors are the same but no hot pink, unfortunately for ya'll with girls.

Need to start posting more to keep myself accountable re:workouts so I hope its okay to just jump in...

today my plan is 4ds lis cardio only followed by postnatal rescue (erin o'brien) for core. still can't do much upper body weight work or yoga due to my carpal tunnel and i miss it soooo much!

yesterday I did ellen barrett's fat burning fusion. if you've ever seen her slow-robics on fitTV, it's very similar and you might like. it's been helpful for me to do these types of workouts postpartum because you have to focus on form and holding your core in.

wendy

maggie, i semi-started sts. i'll go back to disk1 when cathe starts monday.
im looking forward to valentines!:D

wendy, how many kiddos you got? i have 3 girls. gina, 7 next month. isabel, coming up on 5. julia, almost 4 mon.
i looked amazon briefly but i nweed to go back.
glad you found som good wo's! have you seen a chiro for your ctunnel? i heart my chiros!

it is 60 and sunny and smells like spring! im in mich and we have had the coldest winter ever! its so nice to be able to get julia out of the house!

hope your work day goes fast lisa!!!

a friend gave me gher old pumping bra, thinking it would change my mind about pumping. WRONG!!! thats the most hideous ugly contraptio ive seen yet!:p very practical tho, i suppose. i thinki'll pass tho!

julia is teething so hard today. i feel so bad for her. need to get these great homeopathic tablets that, i swear, work instantly. i think the name is highland's. used to call them hyman's! doubt thats right!!!

so i was reading the reviews of the bumbleride......

unfortunately, not so good:(

the concensus was that once there is weight in it, it is noisy and cumbersome. if you put anything in the basket it sags and scrapes the wheels. and when you flip the handles to have baby face you you have to take a short stride to avoid kicking the stroller.

i am so bummed!!!!!
there were quite a few reviews like this.

after going thru too many strollers w/ dds 1 and 2 i'd hoped to get an awesome one this time around.

anybody have a maclaren?

Oh my goodness--I loved that workout (M1 CSB)--it just flew by and the endorphin rush was incredible. I'm loving this already. I wonder if I'll be sore tomorrow? I could not do all the push ups on my toes and a couple of times it just moved too fast for me during the break to get my weighted gloves on and I had to chapter back. Generally I prefer heavier weights with longer breaks (like meso 3), but this was really fun. The yoga abs, on the other hand, well, lets just say I'm not very familiar with yoga moves and I kept cracking myself up.....

Kate--I have no suggestions for a stroller. We have some kind of bulky jogging stroller that I love, but it's not very fancy. We've had it since ds14 was a baby.

Becky--4% is fantastic!

Hi Wendy!

Lisa--I pumped for 9 months with #4. It is truly a labor of love;)

take care all
Maggie:)

Hi ladies!

Today I did IMAX 2 and put my all into it, but I think I overdid it. I'll have to keep modifying plyo stuff for a bit more.

The 4% interest rate isn't set yet. The new treasury secretary is talking about setting it at that. I'm hoping it happens in time for us to buy our home. That would be awesome.

Kate, sorry about the crappy reviews. I've heard about the Maclaren, but don't know much about it except that it is supposedly amazing.

Maggie, so glad you enjoyed your workout. I'm really looking forward to starting them myself. Yoga can be funny if you aren't used to it.

Lisa, hope work was good.

Wendy, welcome. Do you like Postnatal Rescue? I have that one but haven't done the 2nd or 3rd parts. Do you think it is helping your abs?

Hope everyone had a great day. I had a man from a moving company come today and look at all of our stuff to give us a quote. Will hear back from him in a day or so. I hope it isn't over $2500. Our quote range so far has been from $1700-5000 (PODS is outrageously expensive and was the $5000 one...um, no)

Becky

maggie, sts2 goes by fast too. i got 40 mins into it and julia woke up. stinker!:p
same stroller 14 yrs!!! wow!!!
gwen still scootin around?

becky, that int. rate is amazing!!! yikes on the pods quote! we said when we move we'll hire someone too - i cant believe how much "stuff" we have. i need to make friends w/ craigslist.
i lovelove imax2 - if im in a cardio rut this always gets me pumpedup!

-----------
rest day today! i think i need it.
i have isabel's vday party today but no other plans. cook ^ clean!

Hi ladies! Just wanted to pop in to say hi. Our old computer died, so I was MIA for awhile, but we just got a new one. Things are good here. Charlie was sleeping 8 hours, but now only goes about 4 or 5 at night. Ugh. Must be a growth spurt. We recently started cereal mixed with applesauce, and he likes it. He's quite a chunk, four and a half months old and 16 and a half pounds! He was sick a couple of weeks ago with a bad cold/cough, but that didn't curb his appetite! Takes after his mommy. I'm still struggling to lose an ounce of baby fat. Still the same size I was when I got home from the hospital, sadly. I've also had three periods in one month, so I'm thinking I have a hormone imbalance? (perhaps TMI??) Anyway, it is what it is. Life otherwise is great. I'm learning how to run. Been walking three minutes, running two on the tmill trying to work my way up. Once my body gets lighter, it should become easier, I hope.

Well, enough of this novel. Hope everyone is doing well! I'm SO thrilled for Susan!! Hi and hugs to everyone!!

Hello ladies.

I did BodyMax2 today, but on a 6 inch step. Zoey slept the whole time which was a happy surprise. I thought I'd have to split it up and do the cardio and the leg intervals at one time and the weights and abs at another. I did quite well with this workout I am happy to say. No change in the scale for the past 2 days, but I feel like I am making progress. Each day my body changes and the planks are helping. But...I still have fatty fluff over my strengthening abs, so that needs to go!

Stephanie, nice to "meet" you. Running is fun once you get into it...moreso outside than inside though. I have an elliptical and I like to get my reading in while on it (during med school I have learned to keep my head steady to read while my body goes crazy on it...must multi-task.) Now when I am on it I re-read my internal med texts to stay up to date since I don't see another patient until June...and by then I won't be a student anymore...so I don't want to kill anyone.

Kate, hope you have a great day. Have fun with the cooking and cleaning. I think I am making tilapia today. I was going to wait a day but DH thinks it is making the fridge smell fishy (I haven't noticed oddly enough), so fish it is tonight. I found a good looking recipe on CookingLight.com

Everyone else, hope all is well and you had great workouts!

I am supposed to spend time on the elliptical tomorrow, but I don't know how that will work out. Zoey and I are going with one of my girlfriends to an outlet mall that is around 1.5 hours away tomorrow, so I might not get it in. But...we'll be walking all over that outlet mall and while it isn't as strenuous as the elliptical, it is something. I just have to figure out what at Panera I can eat that won't kill my clean eating...and yet still be tasty.

Becky

stephanie!! good to see you!
is ns not working out so well then? you will get there!!! good job w/ running! are you lifting? i got really good results w/ ff's dec rotation. monday i officially start sts. i've done a few of them and i love it so far.
oh, i dont even want to think about starting foods! the first meal i'll add in tho is to have her eat dinner w/ us. tank her up for a good sleep!:D sorry to hear your sleep has declined! i hate being tired.
WEIRD re the periods. no fun. is that your first round since birth?

becky, how was the fish?
great wo! i always use 6". i can do 8 but then its not fun for me anymore. thats great you have such a good sleeper!!
consider tomorrow your active rest day!:) will z do good in te car that long???!!! id be too scred to attempt it!
panera - "eat this, not that" says ch noodle soup. and it is SO good there!:D

Hi ladies--just completed a 1 hr walk/run/hill thingy on the treadmill. I feel great! I wanted to do more running, but knee felt tweaky and I have a tendancy to overdo it and get myself injured, so I forced myself down.

I am sore from yesterday. I love DOMS:p:confused::eek:--really--I'm not being sarcastic. The scale was up a bit, but I know that's my body's way of responding to new stimuli.

I'm going to ice my knee and watch some of 24 season 6 with ds 14, who needs to do shoulders today. I cannot believe how fast he gains strength when he lifts.

Stephanie!!--I wondered where you were. Good to hear from you. Weight comes off so slowly for me--all these young ladies at church who had babies after me are back in their pre preg clothes already and here's me. My goal is to lose about 3/4 lbs a week--Keep running--I'm trying to incorporate that into my rotations as well. I'd also recommend Clean EAting magazine--I love it--I'm eating clean without feeling deprived--a first for a foodie like me.

Becky--good job on the abs. I think after 7 large babies that my abs are truly a hopeless case. To quote Melanie's mom "That's what clothes are for.";)

Kate--have fun at the Vday party;). Gwen is scooting and finding every gross left over tidbit from the other small children possible and we are trying to really keep the floors clean(er)--a relative term in our house. Building up the immune system is always good, I say:eek:.

Okay--gotta go--24, dinner, shower, bible study

Maggie:)

Becky-- Nice to meet you too!
Kate--HEY!! Yay for the STS!! Good luck!! I seriously think it would kill me to do that! I haven't been able to stick to n/s, which is odd, because I used to be the queen of willpower. I turned 35, and willpower flew out the window, apparently.
Maggie--3/4 pounds a week would be heavenly!

Soooo ... good news, I actually ran a whole mile tonight!! It was at a VERY slow pace, but I did it!! I then did the weight timesaver premix on Cardio&Weights, however, I'm waiting to do the abs portion with DH tonight. So I'm really psyched about that!

Gotta run! Charlie is wanting to be fed!! Hugs to all!

Kate, thanks for the heads up about the chicken noodle...that's what I'll be getting!

I'm hoping Zoey will tolerate the car ride...hopefully she'll sleep the whole time.

Hi Stephanie!!! Oh my gosh, I'm 35 and my will power has flew out the window too. Maybe both our will powers are hanging out together somewhere! Yay on the run!

Kate - DH just got that book last week. I have yet to go through it, but we've been perusing it.

Maggie - I love DOMS too! Makes me feel like I did something.

Becky - Wow, BM2 already? You go girl! I don't think I even thought about pulling that one out yet. More for time reasons, but also cardio factor, but now that I was able to complete IMAX, I might start venturing to BM2 soon. I really do love that workout. Very complete workout.

Hello all! Nothing interesting happening here. Went for a walk and planning on GS BSB later tonight. Trying to get dd to hurry up and get dressed. She takes forever to get out of the shower then forever to get dressed. Off to dinner!

Lisa

Good morning. Zoey was off by an hour on her sleeping last night, so I ended yo waking an hour earlier and got a workout in. I decided not to do the elliptical and did Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge instead. A 40 minute cardio-fest! Now I'm feeding Z and waiting for my friend to arrive so we can go shopping. Wish me luck that 1) Zoey cooperates with these plans and 2)we get some really great deals!

Have a great day.

Becky

maggie, wtg on the tm! and i love doms too - and i am aching from my pseudo-chinups. love it!
lol on the floor!!! i have nevr been so grossed out at my dog as i am now having a baby again. he doest shed too much but he is huge and dirty and his slobber makes me gag sometims. but hes so sweet and good to the kids.

-----------------
going to ginas vday party today. i know there will be fruit so my pm snack is all set!
sts3/legs tonight. i cant wait for the doms tomorrow!!!!

hi everyone!

Stephanie-good to hear from you! Good job on the 1 mile run. Running isn't easy but once you start it is addicting:)

Becky- I love bodymax 2. It's going to be awhile b/f I ever have time to do the whole w/o. How was your shopping trip?

Maggie- I love doms also:D I have been having serious ones since I started the push phase of clx.

Kate- I had a maclaren w/ Owen and I really like it except it doesn't have a bar in front. I am looking at the peg perego pliko, I think this is the one Lisa has. How were the v-day parties? I have them tomorrow. I baked heart shaped cookies today for Owen's class, I just have to take plates for Wilson's.

Lisa- do you work full time??

Owen stole my nail polish and painted his nails while I was in the shower. It was really funny when he tried to wash it off:eek: He told me he didn't want to see anyone until it was off. I let him sweat it out a little then I told him I could take it off if he never did it again:D

We are off to b-ball practice
