plyos, high jacks - advanced / intermediate levels - question yet again.

Guess what..me again and I hope I don't sound stupid!

But ok I was reading some more on this board, yep getting hooked and read that step blast sounds like it has some plyo's - high jacks, etc ? something like that...... and I wonder what you all can add to tell me since I can't view it yet...the plyo's seem to wipe me out.
I thought I was an intermediate to advanced workouts until I tried Cathe's Cardio Kicks, I was wiped out & tired - no energy at all 1/2 way thru it... but on the same hand Rythmic Step looks so fun how can I not try another tape ???? But I can't decide between the 2 or even if I should try it if I am not at the right level. Hmmmm its hard so I thought I would come to the experts here :)

And not to mention 2 left feet, I am sure I will trip a few times getting the steps down... but from her video clips I feel as if I am in a gym again, it looks fun!

Hehehe I totalled all my purchases up over the past 18 months is all and the money Ive spent is so cheap compared to a gym membership - so I feel the need to buy again, heehee.

Cardio Kicks was my first Cathe (back in the day) and I had been working out with Tae Bo and feeling pretty superior! Boy did I get a wake up call! CKs was SOOOOO much harder for me, and I still consider it a toughie. I have found that (for me)Rythmic step is easier than cardio kicks intensity wise, but the choreo is very challenging. That being said, once you "get" it, it is a lot of fun if you are into dancey moves! I find that the more I can "jam" during a workout, the faster it goes by for me. But don't let the plyo moves get you down, those are the hardest ones for me, but they also are the most gratifying to master! Good Luck!

RE: plyos, high jacks - advanced / intermediate levels ...

Hey Laura,
When I started with Cathe I worked out to mostly the Firm. I bought whatever Cathe workouts struck my fancy and had fun learning the workouts. The more you do Cardio Kicks the easier it will be...not easy...but easier. I found that after I really learned the workouts I could give it even more energy. Have fun learning the workouts and just watch how fast you will improve!:7

Thanks, I am also using the Firm too and almost everyday. So now it is just going to come down to what one to buy. LOL!

Laura I'm also a Firm to Cathe convert, and I started with MIS and Circuit Max. That was a little over three months ago, and I now have ALL the Cathe tapes - LOL! No matter which one you decide to buy, you'll be hooked just like the rest of us, and will soon want them all! By the way, I totaled up just yesterday what I've spent on tapes, heavier weights, a new barbell, a new step, the high step, a stability ball and a medicine ball, and you know what? It IS less expensive than a gym membership, and I can workout whenever I want, to whichever tape I choose, and will always get a FANTASTIC workout because it's Cathe!!

P.S. my Firms are collecting dust ... LOL!!

Hey Laura,
I was wondering...have you checked out Cardio & Weights? It is not quite as difficult as some other Cathe workouts, but it is fun, the music is good, and you get some weight work along with the cardio. Also, a good ab section at the end. Check it out!:7

Cardio kicks is alot harder then rythmic step or step blast In my opinion I think Cathes step tapes are harder in choreography but cardio kicks and boot cmap and kick punch and whtaever are harder in intensity The step tapes are easily modified i.e. no jumping Lots of times if I feel like not jumping during plyojacks I iwlldo squats or plain jumping jacks As with plyo 15's I think that is what they are called on the step 1 leg jumps you cna not jump and just concentrate on the muscles used your legs and also the abs to pull it up. Cathe always tells you how tomodify or has someone showing you. I hope this helps
