Please tell me about Cardio Coach

I don't know anything about this except the few things I've gathered here and there on forums. Can you explain what this is in detail please?

That's a pretty broad question but I'll try my best. Cardio Cardio is an audio guided series of workouts that you download to your iPod or MP3 player. They are designed for use with ANY cardio machine including the bike, treadmill, elliptical, cross trainer, stair stepper, rowing machine, etc. You can also take it outside and use it for running, jogging, or walking. It's appropriate for any fitness level -- beginner to advanced.

The workouts are AWESOME!!! If you do a search here you'll see they're quite popular. I'm a klutz and can't do step, and I don't like high impact, so I use Cardio Coach almost exclusively (I do them on my elliptical).

There are 8 cardio volumes and one weight circuit called PUMP. The workouts are coached by Sean O'Malley and he uses perceived exertion and a system of levels and zones to gauge exertion -- this is what makes them appropriate for any fitness level http://www.cardiocoach.com/Quickstart.php. He's known for his ability to encourage, inspire, and motivate and he's a real PRO at this!!!

The workouts consist of a warm-up followed by alternating periods of work (sprints, hills, or treks) and recovery, ending with a cool down. Some, not all, of the workouts include a stretch as well. Rather than a bunch of random songs, the workouts are scored with original music like a movie would be. the music is fantastic and matches the workouts perfectly.

I can't say enough good about them. I love them. I HTH! :)

Climb onto the cardio machine of your choice or even gte set to walk/run outdoors.

Press play on your mp3 player.

Lose yourself in amazing, energy inspiring music.

Hear the voice of the motivating, wonderful Sean O Malley...the voice that can push you to really do your best.

Walk/run/pedal. Through hills, sprints, recovery, steady state intervals. Nothing happens for too long. Time flies. At the commencement of every challenging interval hear a coundown 10...9..8..7....1..go and then charge at all out effort....until the welcome countdown that indicates the end of the interval. Feel like you are soaring...flying. Experience the music change tempo and mood ...race when you are sprinting, climb when you are uphill, relax when you are recovering.

As you finish your cardio, feel compelled to buy every Cardio coach volume....wait eagerly for the next cardio day.

Welcome to Cardio Coach Land!

I recently took a peak at the we-site. That alone made me want to go out & buy a piece of equipment! Looks awesome!

Tammi, I bought my elliptical and iPod after listening to a CC workout on my computer. I was desperate to find some form of cardio that I could/would do, so I downloaded 1 volume and listened to it on my computer. I knew in an instant that I loved it and I went out and bought an elliptical and an iPod a few days later. I bought all of the workouts within a week or two of that and I have never looked back. It was the best investment I ever made -- ranks right up there with STS!! ;)

CC got me back into running again- and better and faster than before. I wish he had even more workouts. I created my own premixes just to have more of them, and to create workouts that were just right for a few things I wanted to accomplish from a cardio point of view. I love CC!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with everyone here:)
One thing I would like to add....Cardio Coach makes time fly by.
I use to get on my elliptical with some feelings of dread. I have to confess, the time seem to drag. Not with CC! You will be surprised how fast a hour passes by! I know, I know, you're thinking a hour? Believe me, you will love his more challenging volumes and be more than willing to add challenges on!
Oh, make sure you buy Press Play so you can join all the Cathe members on Press Play Saturday's! It's fun and they are a craZy bunch who will push you even further:D:p:cool:

I just did Volume 8 on my elliptical last night! WOO HOO HOOOO!!!! My legs are still a bit sore this morning and I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to get through STS legs today!

Hey Cynthia, where have you been on the past few PP Saturday's!? I've missed you, young lady!!! I hope you'll come play with our "crazy bunch" next time around -- the 25th I think. :D

I've been learning Cathe step. I take one workout and repeat segments everyday until I get it all. Then I repeat it for another week so it's engraved in my old brain:D:p
I'll join ya this month, I promise!

You are AWESOME!!!! Why don't you do a segment from one of Cathe's step routines for your bonus challenge? Jodi's done that before! :D
