Ladies-

You guys were a big help when I needed help, but I let my free picturetrail account run out. I just renewed it and want to put my pic back as my avatar. Please remind me how to do it!

Hi Gayle,

I think you just go to the top of the page and select USER MENU, then click on EDIT PROFILE.

Gayle, you have to have a place online where you store your image. Then in the user menu, you go to your profile and add the url of that stored image on the space provided for the avatar url. Hope that makes sense.

Pinky- I do have a picture trail account (in my signature line) but I can't figure out how to copy the link of the pic and put it in my avatar. Sorry to be so brain dead to this!

Go to your picture trail account, select the picture you want as you avatar. At the bottom of the page, selcet/highlight the entire line that starts with http:// , then copy that. Come back here and go to your profile. In the blank space, next to Avatar, click in that box and then paste.
 
Gayle, I'm not very good about these photo sites. I actually tried doing what you're doing from my piczo site, but the url won't pick up the photo I chose. I had to use the online storage provided by my comcast account, store the photo there and use the url where the photo is stored, such as

http://---comcast address---/nameofpic.JPEG

Having said that, I wonder if you have to target the jpeg (or whatever file you saved your photo as) and use that, instead of the picturetrail url itself. Just a thought. Hope I'm not confusing you any further.
