Hi. I am new to cathe but I have been working out for several years. I am trying to lose weight because I recently had a baby so I am looking for workouts with alot of cardio and some weights for a little toning but I am mainly concerned w/ cardio.
I ordered the low impact circuit based on the research I did on this website. I did the workout tonight and I love the music and cathe's style, but it was definitely not enough cardio for me and it also wasn't challenging enough...not the choerography just the intensity. I was actually a little confused w/ the second combo but the other 2 were good. Anyway, if you all could recommend a few dvd's I would really appreciate it. thanks so much!!!:)

Hi Claire. I would suggest getting Cathe's new series. Low Impact Circuit is well, low impact, but high intensity (as is Low Max). Body Max 2 is basically 3 workouts in one. It has great premixes so if you don't have time to do the entire 90 minutes, there are other premixes that will work. The same with Drill Max. Since you are wanting to look toned (and be healthy I assume), you should really lift weights. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone here who doesn't lift weights. I would suggest starting out with a full body weight workout, like Muscle Max.
Cathe has tons of other cardio workouts and if you want a pure, hardcore cardio challenge, try one of the IMAXes. They are all SUPER intense.

Hello!!

For a challenge I would get the Terminator DVD.... also Imax2 is a great cardio... Imax2 comes with cardio&weights wich is tons of fun but more intermediate....

Drill Max is definitely challenging...

For fun cardio I love Step Jump & Pump.

Good luck :)

For challenging all cardio Body max 2 pre-mix (scrambled eggs 80 minutes long) is really good. Also Cardio Fushion pre-mix (mix and match 80 minutes) The only thing with the cardio fushion dvd it is combining all her new dvds which can be somewhat difficult to follow if you have never done them before but definite sweatfest. As for toning, any of her strength training dvds would be good. Considering you said you just had a baby I am sure you are limited time so I would go with a high rep lower weight endurance training. She has many of them. Muscle endurance is one and it also has another (can't remember) work out on it. Not quite as challenging as all her weighted workouts. IMAX 3 is challenging too. Hmm so many to choose from I would suggest the Body Max 2 since it also has upper body weighted workout and the pre-mix scrambled eggs. Her low impact circuit you mentioned is what I would do on a light day so don't get discouraged. Her workouts are very intense.

Let me know if I can answer any more of your questions.

Erin :)

If LIC isn't challenging for you, I would go with the Terminator or Hardcore Extreme. Excellent and extremely challenging.

thanks so mcuh for all your help. i purchased imax2 and body max 2 so far so i will start with them and see how i make out. thanks again!!
