Please help me modify

FiddleFit

Cathlete
Good day, everyone. I have a question for the educated crowd. I am just at the end of the first trimester in my pregnancy, and will soon need to avoid laying flat on my back. I plan to do bench presses with my step on an incline, but in the couple of situations where Cathe does bench presses in the same workout both flat, and on an incline, should I do *both* sets on the incline, or just skip the flat set? I'm thinking specifically of PS and SH.

Also, will doing French presses on an incline change the way the triceps are worked, and if so, would it be better to substitute another tricep exercise?

I appreciate your thoughts on this,
Sandra

Here are my thoughts: doing presses on an incline works a different part of your chest. I would suggest eliminating the flat presses entirely. You could possibly substitute them w/a modified pushup, like the "girly" pushups we used to do in gym class (i.e. on your knees). I've never been pg so I don't know if this a healthy position for you--I'd check w/your dr. before any modifications to your workout.

I think you'll be find doing the tricep presses on an incline. It might change the intensity somewhat if you lose some gravity, but as long as the motion stays the same it should work.

Thanks for the input! I appreciate your thoughts on this, and will probably do as you suggest and just eliminate the flat presses.

Take care,
Sandra
