Ladies if you ever get one. Do not get it cut out.
I had one removed on the ball of my right foot monday.
I felt like I had been crucified. No pain pills. Thank god I had some darvocett at home.
It is awful.
Today is a little better. I did gym style chest and tricepts today. No legs or cardio for a few days.
Oh, the doctor starts telling me , after he shoves a big needle in and numbs it.( God did it ever hurt) The virus usually dies in 2 years. I about died.He was already cutting!!!!!
It would have eventually gone away.
I should have kept aciding it.
I have a hole the size of a dime in my foot.
Moral is don't do it!!!!
Has anyone had this. How long will it take to heal.

;(
Desperate in pain,
Anne

I have never heard of warts being cut off! Usually, they are burnt off with liquid nitrogen.

I used to get plantar's warts when I was around 12 years old and older. I dug at them with a sterilized needle (digging out the center), and they went away. Don't know why I did that, but it worked.

With warts, I've also heard that sometimes home remedies (like putting a slice of potato on it) work, and that if you think it will work, it probably will (why there is a placebo reaction with warts, I don't know).

Anne,I'm so sorry you went thru this .. Those darn DRs .I have an old trick for those planters warts ..... Sand Paper !!! Yep sand paper them everyday for a few minutes I usually do it after a shower . In about 3 weeks they are gone . To speed it up even faster ,soak the foot then sand paper it !!! ..And I did go the DR route once its way more painful ,I would say healing takes a good 3-4 weeks !!! ...Next time you get one do the sand paper method !!! Good luck and hang in there .Hugs to you

When I was a kid I had a huge plantar wart on the bottom of my big toe. I worked at it with a pair of sharp, pointy tweezers until I got it out. Never even told my mom about it. Anyway, I've never had another one.

Anne,

I feel your pain. I really do! I had a plantars wart when I was in elementary school. It was UNREAL what I went through, and now I'm not even sure WHY!??! Did they not used to know that it would be fine to just leave it??
Anyway, there were attempts made to freeze it off, cut it out, burn it off...can't remember what else, but every way known to man was tried with me. Finally I think the liquid nitrogen is what did the trick, but not before I developed blood poisoning and seriously came close to losing my leg! I remember standing at the sink , drying dishes while my mom washed and crying and whining and I know my mom thought I was being overly dramatic, but it hurt to set my foot down, then trying to lift it up was even worse........finally she asked me to show her and I had red streaks running up my leg to my knee! We went straight to the emergency room where the doctor was very alarmed.....my mom told me later he was really afraid that I waited too long to tell anyone, but I thought he was just rude and mad for some reason!!
Anyway, I'm the wrong person to ask how long it takes to heal. Mine was a long , painful process. OUCH OUCH OUCH! I hope you are over the worst and on the way to feeling much better, with NO complications!!!

Hi Anne!

I had a plantars wart for about 10 years. I tried everything to get rid of it. At times it got so painful because it felt like I was walking on a pebble with each step I took. It got worse with each pregnancy. In fact, it spread.

I was finally able to get rid of it by taking homeopathic medicine. I was very skeptical as to whether the stuff would work, but fortunately it did. All I have left is a little scar as a reminder of that blasted thing.

I hope you start feeling better soon.
