Pilates instead of weight training??

I've been doing only Pilates and cardio for about six weeks and I have gotten softer in the glute-hamstring area so I am going back to strength training in addition to Pilates.

Keep in mind though that Pilates is more than the mat work you see demonstrated on most videos. There is a huge repetoire of Pilates moves done with the equipment that is quite challenging. Pilates also stretches the muscles while working them which is one of its greatest benefits IMHO.

Jane... when you go back to strength training and continue pilates and cardio how many days of each are you going to do? I cant figure out how to fit everything in!
 
I don't know yet. I am trying to figure that out. I will probably ease back into full strength training using workouts such as Body Max or Circuit Max. I may do 6 week rotations of one and then the other.
Cathe's superb ab workouts should enhance my Pilates abilities.
