Picture help!

I feel really computer illiterate (not really). I just can't figure out how to post my picture as an avatar. Can someone please give me instructions, step by step! I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay, well first your picture has to be hosted somewhere. You can't just take a picture you have stored on your computer. If you can let me know if your picture is hosted somewhere, then I'd be happy to let you know how to put it in your avatar

If it's not hosted somewhere, then you can open a free Picturetrail account. It's really easy. Just go to www.picturetrail.com and it'll walk you through opening an account.

Okay, have you uploaded pictures?

Once you have your pictures uploaded, here's what you do:

At the top of the page, there's a tab marked "Get Image URLs" - click on it
It will ask you what album you want to get the pictures from, so pick the album and click on Thumbs (which is thumbnail images)
Once the page opens with the thumbnails, each will have a list underneath it of different addresses for different uses
Click on the address next to the tag that says "Forum tags" (it will have on either end of the address
Right click and Copy
Go to your Profile in the User Menu on Cathe.com and paste that piece that you just copied from Picturetrail into the Avatar box

And that should do it:)
