So, following up on the recent discussion around the Perfect Pushups, I got mine out this weekend while doing STS. When the time came to do straddle pushups on the step, something I just can't do, I got out the PPs. The beauty of these is the ability to change your hand positions so easily, while still being comfortable (my hands never feel secure on the step). So, I did pushups with my hands gripping the PPs, palms facing inward, as they would be if I was using the step. Not only did this work beautifully, but it really kept my arms in proper position, gave me a greater ROM because the step wasn't in the way, and made the whole move more comfortable, and thus doable. And effective - holy cow!!
