'Perfect Pullup' - reviews?

Does anyone have the 'Perfect Pullup?' What do you think of it?

Ideally, I wanted to put a pullup bar in the doorway leading to my exercise area: But it's 47" wide with no frame, and I can't find anything to fit. I've looked at the 'perfect pullup.' I could put it in a nearby doorway (w/ door and frame). I like that you can do supine pullups with it--or at least that's what the back of the box shows.

A sporting goods store in the area has it on sale right now. Should I?

Thanks,

Thanks Debbie!

I had checked out the website and was very impressed. But then I checked the reviews on Amazon. There were good reviews, but also very negative reviews that said the concept was good but the product was a piece of junk--hard to install and broke very easily.

BUT I've also been looking at a power tower. I saw a classified ad yesterday for a tower in very good condition for $70. If you had to get one or the other, which would it be?

I have the perfect pull-up and love it. IMO it is made very well and my 200lb. husband uses it too, hasn't broken yet...have had it for a few months. Try it, you'll like it:)

Thank you both so much! I really wanted to hear from someone who has used it. I really appreciate your input.

My son got it for Christmas and I use it and it works great -- so easy to put up and take down. No issues, and we've had larger men try it as well, though my husband gets nervous that our house is not constructed well enough to really withstand that. :)

Debbie, I'm going to check out that website for other uses -- cool! Thanks -- as always, you are such a great resource!

Ok, I'm an idiot -- this is not the product I have! :p So, disregard my last post. I thought mine was called that. Mine is the one that you just put up and take down each time -- nothing that fastens permanently.

Honestly, I got one from Dunhams that was a floor model and on sale. LOL! I liked it, it did what I wanted and I got it for dirt cheap. So just make sure you like it, most power towers are the same.

Have you looked at the Iron Gym?

Just wanted to throw this out there - I got the Iron Gym at Target a few days ago for $29.99, it is for total upper body work. (Pull ups, dips, sit ups, push ups.) There are no holes to drill, DH had it up and was using it within minutes of getting it home! I find I can't walk past it now without doing a pull up or two (couldn't do any at April 1, so I'm impressed!). They have this at Amazon, too, I think. Wasn't sure if you'd seen it....
