I find it very ironic that Cathe's reminder of "Ask Cathe".....
no body listens. How in the world can she answer any questions directed towards her with all this interference?

Hi Krista! I appreciate your concern. I guess we just need Cathe to verify what she thinks at this point. I have remembered in the past that Cathe has posted that she appreciated those that were able to help/respond to posts since she has been busy. I do think that posts that are not relevant to Cathe personally, such as talking about other instructors workouts, do NOT belong on the Ask Cathe forum. Sorry, because I am guilty of responding to posts here. I'll wait to see if Cathe responds before posting here again! Thanks again for your concern for Cathe.

I concur......

that's what i thought, too... the description of this forum is to ASK CATHE QUESTIONS!

we have several other forums on this site that we can offer our words of wisdom in... this one needs to be left to cathe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All! Thank you for your concern. Yes, I actually do appreciate when the questions in the Ask Cathe forum are specifically for me. But I realize that not everyone always understands that when first coming on to the site so I don't say much until it becomes excessive. Since I have not been on much at all lately I wasn't aware of this possibly becoming excessive.

I also don't mind when others help out when I am busy with projects. The only thing I ask is that others state their comments as their own personal beliefs and not say something like "I have heard Cathe say this before too".

The type of questions that I really would like to keep out of the Ask Cathe are those that truly belong in Open Discussion or any of the other forums. An example of this would be a question along these lines...."Hi All, what did you think of that show on Fit TV the other day?" OR "Does anybody here like kickboxing (or any other activity)"? OR "Is anybody else waiting to hear more about the new workouts?" These are obviously open and general questions for all to contribute to.

In a nutshell.....The Ask Cathe forum is simply to make things easier on me and I appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this. But I am happy to hear from all of you and if some questions get lost in the shuffle, its really ok. Your questions and comments are welcome here no matter how they arrive ;-)

Thanks for all your help everybody:)

Krista,
I appreciate your concern for Cathe, but those of us who have been on the forum for a long time realize that Cathe is very busy during the production of new workouts, and at those times doesn't visit the forum very regularly (because she's getting some great workouts ready just for us!). We then tend to step in and answer questions (which otherwise would have no response for perhaps weeks.)

I suppose we've gotten into the habit of doing this, and it's easy to jump in and answer other questions at other times, especially when we feel we can be of assistance to a relative newcomer. In those cases, maybe we should restrain ourselves, and at least wait until Cathe has had a chance to answer. Then, if a question has not received an answer within a week or so, we could step in (since the poster is probably waiting for some kind of response).

Most definitely, threads that are neither a question nor a comment for Cathe do NOT belong here, like the one about Firm workouts.

Thanks for clarifying Cathe,
As a new member myself, (I don't think I've been here a month yet), I know I've posted all kinds of crazy questions and statements on all the wrong boards probably. It wasn't intentional as some seem to think, it was only because of lack of attention to detail. The boards I come from (FIRM) are not too structured and everyone kinda posts anything anywhere and I guess that just carried over to my posts here. I'm sorry that my mistake caused so much stress to the members of this site and will be sure to make sure that I read what posts should go where from now on. At least you were kind in your statement and thank you for being patient with the new members on the site. (By the way, I must say I was a sceptic of the whole Cathe workouts until I bought Muscle Endurance..all I can do is sheepishly hang my head and bow to you!)
