Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 7/12

Good morning,

Today I did LIVE Burn Sets Biceps & Triceps. 38 minutes, 164 calories. Wow, this is a great workout. I hope to do the other 2 during the week.

A very rough week here....both dogs hospitalized overnight on Wednesday for diarrhea that would not stop. Picked them up on Thursday, they were a lot better. Still not 100%. Cannot figure out what is doing this to them. :(. Then we lost power for 18 hours. It was brutally hot, over 90 degrees for 7 days in a row. We ended up going to a hotel, and around 12:30 am, our security company called and said our alarm had gone off, "front hall motion"...so we threw on clothes, grabbed the dogs and drove home to find that the power had gone on and that kicked off the alarm. Back to the hotel to get our stuff etc.. Needless to say, no sleeping after that. I was exhausted yesterday and slept most of the afternoon.

Judy, good job on the workouts! I hope you are able to relax somewhat once you are on leave. I still have a sinus headache. I agree with you, it must be the time of year. I hope you feel better after the vaccine.

Carolyn, good job on your workouts this week!

Valerie, Great job on that climb! I missed it somehow... that is horrible about the dead cows.
What happened to them?

Cathy, nice job on the burn sets workout! I think you would really like the LIVE ones she is doing. We have had the "mask" rules in place for a while now. Businesses post on the entrances that everyone must wear a mask, but you still see people inside without them! I really believe that store employees are very intimidated about confronting shoppers that don't have a mask on. With a lot of what you read, who would not be?

Lori, I had replied that your townhouse sounded great, and kept on reading to find out that you are not going to that one now! LOL....I hope all turns out well with the job.

Diane Sue, great job on the steps the other day and keeping up with the workouts. Glad your
appointment went well.

Take care,

Christine, don't feel bad....we all have this "wagon falling" incident happen. Before today, I had missed a week of workouts as well. We do the best we can.

Two dogs with unstoppable diarrhea sounds bad enough to ruin everyone's week! what a nasty series of events. Hope the dogs are Ok and it settles down. plus a power out! could not come at a better time! our security system is also unpredictable in a power out.

no idea what happened to the cows. huge ranch ...graze cattle on their own land and public land owned by forest service. "open range" situation. very wild and mountainous. some of their land ( the B bar) is well known for having grizzly bears close to the road digging for roots. Yellowstone park borders the forest service land. we have not gotten to the park boundary so don't know if fenced or just posted but fences get knocked down all the time. this ranch probably has hundreds of cows grazing, so it would be normal for some cows to die. cows aren't real smart animals and winter takes a toll. we've seen grizzly bears running past cows and they don't seem threatened, so apparently bears attacking cows is not a big threat. however any animal carcass would attract bears. bears are territorial, so people walking nearby might get attacked. good plan to close the trail. plus if the ranchers were going to remove dead cows that would be a ugly nasty process using motorized equipment and/or horses. carcasses are a HUGE attractant to predators.

we did the whole drive yesterday, 11 hours. a lot of tourists vacation is going full steam . we saw lots more people wearing masks than before but of course still some who don't. stupid. JFDI.

Lori I hope you know what you like! If I were ordered to move to florida, I'd say "just shoot me right now and be done with it".
Judy hope you didn't get sick from the vaccine.

we came home to yucky weather. light rain, cool and damp. will make the best of it.

This morning I did Tamal Dodge Yoga for Energy from the Element Yoga for Energy and Relaxation dvd. It was 32 minutes and 55 calories burned.

Deb, I’m glad to hear from you today. You have really had a difficult few days. I’m surprised that you felt like working out today. Nice job with Live Burn Sets Biceps and Triceps.

Diane Sue, having your air conditioner stop working in this heat is terrible. And you still managed to get your workout done! Great job with Raw Cardio Crush and IMAX 4 timesaver.

Lori, I hear you on getting away from the Disney traffic. I haven’t been to Florida in several years, but the traffic in that area was awful then.

Hello to Valerie, Judy, Cathy, and Christina.

Yesterday I did XTrain Legs minus the standing part, and then I put all my DVD's back in proper chronological order (newest first). My husband can't put things back to save his life. At least he only does the older ones, so it wasn't a total mess. This morning I did Kick, Punch and Crunch minus the high intensity and abs. That one keeps my hr in the peak zone for 2/3's of the time and burns a lot more calories than most cardio.

Deb what a nightmarish time you've had this week. I hope the dog gets better and stay better. Pets with diarrhea is so hard. If power outages have to happen they should never be in winter or the hottest part of summer. I hope things settle down for you now. If I was a store employee, I know I would not want to be one enforcing the mask rule, way to many crazy people out there.

Valerie that's a long drive. Glad you made it back safely.

Diane Sue, we had a stash of refillable hand soap, so I haven't had to buy any yet, but from what I've seen Whole Foods has a decent supply. I've been trying to buy stuff for the boys to take with them to college. So far I've got them each two things of hand sanitizer, but only one thing of wipes each. So, much of the problem with the medical profession stems from insurance companies who push them to see as many people as possible. That's why I'm holding my breath that our mid 70's year old doctor keeps going. He doesn't deal with insurance companies, charges us a flat rate, so we pay more out of pocket, but appointments are never over booked and he's not rushed when he's with you. Our dentist just announced he's no longer taking our insurance but will still bill them, so we pay up front. His office is spreading out appointments now, too, though we never had wait long anyway. Great job on the workouts and huge kudos for working out in that heat. Don't know that I could have done that.

Lori, glad you found a place that you really like and congrats on the job. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you.

Hi to everyone I missed!

Cathy that was a problem for many doctors. schedulers are often employed outside the office itself and schedule appts not knowing who needs more time. DH would get an elderly person with a 15 min appointment and 6 major problems. clearly impossible. he took the time needed but he could not control what the schedulers did, so that would put everyone else's appt time " off". doctors in practice a while with experienced office staff would know better... but with schedulers run remotely, it was an ongoing problem. trying to communicate with the schedulers was like trying to talk to the cat. clinics assume doctors will take their lunchhours, breaks, and evenings to do all the notes and coding.
I used to love KPC. haven't done it in a long time, I keep thinking I had a problem with the disk getting stuck somewhere and not playing properly.
I found the tempeh recipe I wanted to repeat. its sesame honey tempeh quinoa bowl from eating well.
http://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/252654/sesame-honey-tempeh-quinoa-bowl/ I made it before and liked it a lot. I will also try the one diane sue posted last week.

I made a WW cheesecake today. I would like dessert sometimes so giving this a try. it is a zero point one.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was a little rough after the Shingrix shot on Friday. I felt ok enough to workout in the morning but by afternoon I was dragging. I slept most of the afternoon and early evening. My arm was very sore, I think even more so than from the first shot. Yesterday I did KCM Abs & Core and Cathe Live #305, Burn Sets Legs. I used lighter weights for the leg workout but I will go heavier next time. Today I feel much better. I did a longer Peloton ride this afternoon, 75 minutes.

Deb-You really had a rough week! I hope the dogs are ok now. Losing power during a heat wave is really bad. Great job with Live Burn Sets Biceps & Triceps! I plan to do that this week. I think you will love the Live Burn Sets Legs. Cathe has come up with some excellent Live workouts during this pandemic.

Valerie-that is a long drive! I'm so glad I got the second Shingrix shot done and over with. I'd say I felt about the same as with the first one. I usually don't have reactions to vaccines but I did with these. Much better now though.

Carolyn-that sounds like a nice yoga workout.

Cathy-Nice job with XTrain Legs and KPC!

Hi to Diane Sue, Lori & Christina!

No workout today. I got home from church thinking that I might do a workout today, but it was already 91 upstairs. I went up this evening and it was 93. I wanted to look at the air, heating unit. It is the older one. Probably the original as it says 1986 on it. I called the heating and air guy and he was out on a call or something so I left a message. Bad time to have problems since it is so hot. We had storms yesterday. Maybe if I get started as soon as I get up it won't be so hot for a workout.

Deb, it sounds like you had a miserable time. I hope that you can solve the problem with your dogs. Glad that you got your power back on. They still have homes in our state that does not have power. My daughter's was out Friday and my grandson called me on his watch to let me know he couldn't use the microwave for lunch. He is 8 and his Dad sleeps during the day. I guess theirs came back on that night.

Valerie, I do not enjoy those long drives like that. Glad that you made it back. Thankfully my primary doctors office makes their own appointments and if I need something else I generally can have it checked with an extra fee. Otherwise I have to schedule for another appointment. Those larger places like my heart doctor has more than one clinic north, south, several other cities. You call one number to make an appointment. Although when I wanted to split the one long wait period the forwarded me to my doctor's receptionist to change it. I printed off the recipe you just put up from Eating Well. I will see if I can find some tempeh without making it myself. That one does look good.

Carolyn, nice that you got some yoga in. I contemplated it, but just did not feel like it in the heat. I wonder about those that like to do hot yoga.

Cathy, I have not done Kick Punch and Crunch in so long. I used to love doing it. I find I get a lot more steps and calories from the older workouts. I always liked the abs in that one. Doctors involved with the big organizations seem to have so many rules. It would make it hard to do what you felt was best for the particular patient. My husbands work that he retired from changed their dental plan and our dentist office files for us even thought they don't use that plan. We get a small charge of 12 dollars when it used to be free for a check up and cleaning. At least we were able to keep our dentist. We have had them for so many years. I babysat for the receptionist there and now her daughter is almost done with nursing school. Time goes by so fast.

Judy, nice workout choices that don't affect the sore arms so much. I hope you feel much better soon. I don't think the vaccine bothered me that long. It did hurt and give me a low grade fever at first.

Good morning,

Today I did Walk Fit Vol 1, 30 minutes, 218 calories.

Valerie, removing those cows sounds like a huge undertaking, but I am guessing it is a normal thing for these people to do. 11 hours straight has to be exhausting! I don't think John would be happy with "schedulers" making his appointments. He has his own staff, and sometimes they mess up and do not allow enough time for a certain procedure.

Carolyn, nice job on the Yoga workouts!

Cathy, good job on KP&C! I like the KB workout in that one. Nice that your husband enjoys Cathe workouts too!

Judy, hope you feel better today. That was a rough time with that 2nd shot.

Diane Sue, I hope they are able to fix your A/C, or replace it. It sounds like it has been a while! If it was only the A/C out, we may have toughed it out and stayed home. No A/C with no lights, etc was just not happening for me! Of course, then the alarm going off was bad, but at least it happened because the power came back on.

Hi to Lori & Christina,

Take care

I'm sure ranchers have agreements with the park on how/where to remove carcasses. the parks do it regularly too. high risk to leave carcasses near trails or roads because people get too close and big predators flock to the body, and that draws a crowd who get too close. all those cars people habituate the bears/wolves to presence of people. predators start associating people with food and its all downhill from there. "a fed bear is a dead bear" etc. we know where the trail went and have hiked it before but no idea where the dead animals were. chances are a hiker came across it and reported it. I would not hike that trail for a couple weeks after.

Our dentist offices around here are still small groups or individuals and haven't been taken over like medical offices have. its the same thing though..... if a procedure doesn't go smoothly or the patient has multiple problems, thing bog down in a hurry.

If we take our camper we make it a 2 day drive but in the car we keep on rolling. leave early and only make gas/pee stops. we are tired for sure! especially these days.... I dont want to stay in motels or use restaurants.

This morning I did ICE Chiseled Upper Body. I like weight workouts that move fast enough to get a cardio calorie burn.

All of the doctors we see are in offices with their own staff, so no place we go has long wait times. Last time I had to deal with that was my first pregnancy. They had their own staff, but just had way too many clients for 3 doctors, and the doctors wanted to take time with each patient so wait times could be up to an hour or more. It was crazy!

Judy, I hope you are feeling better now. That's fantastic that you still managed to get workouts in.

Diane Sue I hope you are able to get your air fixed, no fun at all trying to be active in that level of heat.

Deb how to you like the Walk Fit workouts?

My oldest will be working at the zoo now, too, as of Friday. Orientation and then training. If they really do go back to college, I'm still not going to believe it till it happens, he'll only get four weeks in, but they apparently got really desperate for help. They've only been able to have one restaurant open at a time. He's been working in the dining hall at NMU, so he has some experience in that area, though at NMU the students only help prep, clean and serve or run the register no cooking. But four weeks of income is more than he would have had otherwise.

Today I did Cardio Supersets for 41 minutes and 262 calories burned. My average heart rate was 125 and maximum heart rate was 154.

We just returned from my husband’s neurology appointment. We waited a while to be seen, but only a few people in the waiting room. This doctor schedules his own appointments, but one of my doctors use a centralized scheduling system. In fact I need to call back now for an appointment to be scheduled.

Diane Sue, I hope you can get a new air conditioner soon. It’s miserable upstairs without it. It’s amazing that a system from 1986 worked as long as it did.

Cathy, great workouts so far this week. Kick, Punch, and Crunch was my favorite kickboxing workout for a long time. I like the Abs segment too.

Valerie, good luck with the WW cheesecake recipe. I like to have dessert too and I usually plan for something once or twice a month. My WW leader likes to make mug cakes that are single servings which eliminates the temptation from leftovers. I freeze desserts in single serving pieces.

Judy, nice job with KCM Abs and Core and Live Burn Sets Legs.

Deb, nice job with Walk Fit.

Hello to Cathy and Lori.

Today I did Kelly Coffey Amped Up Cardio Workout #2, 30 minutes, heart rate 135 average, 174 max, 2,595 step, 169 calories. I then did Kelly's Build and Burn Lower Body Tabata, 28 minutes, 121 calories, heart rate 116 average, 147 max, 1,280 steps. Total time 58 minutes, 3,875 steps, 290 calories. Luckily after the rains it was only in the 80's in my workout room this morning. Climbing now though and the sun is out.
Lower Body Tabata weights 20 seconds work 4 sets each move
banded side steps using my latex free heavy band 4 sets
kickstand deadlifts 15 # dumbbells 4 sets
squat variations 20 # dumbbells 4 sets
side lunge into knee pull 4 sets body weight
front and back lunges 15# dumbbells 4 sets
split stance plyo pops body weight 4 sets
plie variations 2 sets 25# dumbbell 2 sets 20# as these were side step plies
wide stance deadlift and squat up 20# dumbbells 4 sets
bridges single leg right then left /close stance/feet apart no weight
bridges the same but with pulses and I used a 15# dumbbell over my hips
I contacted the air and heating guy and he said he will be here sometime this afternoon. He was having a hard time with his phone signal yesterday. We had more rain storms. Hoping they can just repair the air and it is not going to be a full purchase thing. It is the older unit. Odd yesterday as I got up and was letting the dog out and our front gate was hanging wide open. I don't know how that could happen as no packages were delivered and it was closed when I went out to put trash in the trashcan in the evening. My husband said he didn't go out, but noticed when he let the dog out that she came from over the direction of the gate and it was dark so he did not see it open. I am lucky I have her trained and she does not leave the yard. She knows to stand by the open gate while I go pull in trashcans and do stuff. She cannot see me from the gate when I go out by the driveway. I am proud of her for that.

what a bummer the air went out! we now have back up systems though not as "excessive" as it first sounds. we put minisplit units in the upstairs bedrooms at the same time we replaced the whole HVAC system. it was 20+ years old and barely limping along. it's not overly hot here so we seldom run the whole house system. we've tested it to make sure it works OK. we can run the mini splits for only one or two rooms instead, WAY more efficient. our bedrooms always got too hot. the central system didn't work well up stairs and got the main floor too cold while bedrooms stayed warm. this put the "fix" where the problem was.
I can imagine the HVAC people are scrambling all over right now with the heat.
Great your dog knows the gate should not be ignored. Invisible fence is great too if your dog doesn't learn boundaries well enough.

I did pyramid pump and abs 1 yesterday. I am a little sore today.

grocery shopping yesterday. will finish the last part today. Mask wearing is now state wide here, but numbers are still rising again. enough people are still ignoring masks. makes you wonder if this will ever end.

Carolyn the cheesecake turned out good. It isn't really that sweet but depends on how you like artificial sweetener. it uses the monk fruit sweetener and a package of ff, sf pudding mix. with fruit on top, it's decent. I ate a very light dinner yesterday and this kept me from waking up hungry in the middle of the night. I googled pounddropper cheesecake and got the recipe there. its pretty flexible with many options. from the ingredients it should be zero points. I cant figure out how to track it. ff greek yogurt, ff/ sf pudding, egg substitute and sweetener. I added a tsp of cornstarch (one suggested variation) and skipped the crust. it baked up nicely and doesn't weep fluid. texture is good. I put blueberries on top. with yogurt and eggs it's significant protein. I will try other fruit and think I will add a tsp of real sugar to the fruit. I love graham cracker crust but Id want it with sugar and butter baked in, so better for me to skip it entirely.

I'm looking for baked corn chips. coming up empty lately. tostitos makes baked scoops but have been unavailable for a few months now. so many chips to look at on the shelf , but I haven't found any other plain baked corn chips. haven't had great luck making my own and they don't keep like the commercial ones.

Good morning,

Yesterday I had 10,272 steps and today I did LIVE Burn Sets Express Legs: Heavy Weights, 34 minutes, 159 calories. This was a great lower body workout, short and to the point!

Valerie, I can understand why you would not want to stop at a motel etc. I was pretty concerned when we resorted to going to a motel the other night when the power was out. I took a huge container of wipes and wiped down everything we would ever touch in the room before we even brought stuff in there. We have mini splits too, one in each bedroom, one in the living room and one in the kitchen. The kitchen one is dual, it has A/C and heat. We had to get these as we have a pump/water heater, no duct work.

Cathy, nice job on ICE chiseled Upper Body. That is a great series! I really like the Walk Fit workouts for the treadmill. There a 2 Walk Fit ones and 1 Run Fit. Of course all can be used for any level. Good that your son got that job, even if it is only 4 weeks.

Carolyn, great job on Cardio Supersets! I forgot about those mug cakes! I had one that actually came out ok, but lost all info on it.

Diane Sue, are your A/C units window ones? or are they central air? Good girl Gerty! for staying in the yard even with the gate open!

Hi to Judy, Lori and Christina,

Take care,

Today I did RWH Lower Body Circuit for 47 minutes and 313 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 164.

Diane Sue, nice job with KCM Amped Up Cardio and Lower Body Tabata. It’s good that you could do it before the room was too hot. I hope your A/C is repaired soon.

Valerie, I think I have made a similar dessert. I will often experiment with nonfat greek yogurt and add-ins for dessert. To track you can look for something similar such as mini cheesecakes. When recipes come up I look at them to see if its close to what I am making. It sounds like only 1 or 2 points.

Deb, great job with Live Burn Sets Express Legs and getting over 10,000 steps.

Hello to everyone and have a great day.

Today I did the same workout as Debbie, Raw Cardio Overload #2 35 minutes, 202 calories, heart rate 133/169, 3,287 steps. I wore my 4# vest throughout. I then did Kelly's 30 MTF one on one Cardio Sculpt Overload workout #1, I know I have done this before, but I could not find a description of the moves that I had done. Anyway this was 29 minutes, 127 calories, heart rate 121/160, 1,595 steps. It might not be completely accurate as during the last round of moves my watch went to 70 for the heart rate then dropped out till I finally moved it a tiny bit and tightened the band since it was starting to feel loose. I also did 20 minutes of Lindsey Samper add on moves and some rolling and leg stretches which was 18 calories. Total time was 84 minutes, 347 calories, 4,882 steps.

30 Minutes to Fitness Kelly Coffey Cardio Sculpt Overload workout #1 Kelly uses 2# dumbbells for boxing, a 12.5 # dumbbell for the compound moves, not sure what the vest is. I think she said 6# on her website or the facebook check in. I used 8# today for this
warm up 3 minutes
light dumbbells hook/knee boxing
lower body weight curtsy back kick
heavy dumbbell compound 12 # squat/press

low impact cardio insole/ heel/insole
light dumbbells boxing upper cut/ twist/knee 3#
1/4 squat tap out
heavy dumbbell 12# bend/row/curl

hop /knee pulls /side to side step
light dumbbells 3# boxing inside uppercut/uppercut
body weight legs squat/reverse lunge/squat/kick
heavy 12 # squat out snatch ( I did cleans instead)

I keep getting busy and having a hard time getting back here. I have a follow up with my eye doctor tomorrow morning and need to go shopping and do banking etc.. I will be hosting family day and my oldest daughter's birthday Sunday. Not sure about dinner. It is always a bit difficult honoring everyone's likes and dislikes. Cake though :p Maybe this time not chocolate. I have 2/3 of the family that loves chocolate cake. Maybe something like I have done before with a bundt or tube cake pan pound cake that I filled the center with strawberries and served up more strawberries and whipped topping with. That went over well and better than all of that greasy icing. Although I have been doing individual cakes for the ones that blow out candles which is generally the younger ones. 1 candle is good enough.
My air is fixed the guy came yesterday and we lucked out for awhile. He installed a new condensing fan motor and cleaned the units. We didn't go for the Lennox motor though as it was way more money for the part and from what he said we may get another summer out of this unit. Gertie enjoyed the coolness upstairs and didn't come down after my workout with me. She waited till she heard Amazon come to the door with my new vacuum for upstairs. I wish I would have caught that ahead of time so she didn't bark. My husband has extra hours to work tonight into tomorrow mid morning to make up for someone else being off.

Deb, I have had a couple of times with no power at all or air and not able to leave my neighborhood for days. Even when they got it the one time where I could get out, still no power. I drove some distance to spend time at my daughter's house and shower. Another problem was the aerobic septic system and the sprinkler system that all runs off of electricity. It was such a nightmare.

Valerie, I don't blame you for making the straight trip without stopping if you didn't have your camper. I made a delicious low fat cheesecake for my husband and I several times using the Instapot. I haven't done it in awhile as we both gobbled it up too fast. I did do some of my own changes though and it did not have a crust. I used hersheys sugar free chocolate chips and the greek yogurt cream cheese in it. I also used Pyure stevia sweetener. It has an almost vanilla flavor. I really hate using diet sweeteners though. I was reading a blog by an oncologist I follow named Collen Champ that was talking about the use of diet sweeteners. He mentioned Xylitol as being used to protect teeth from bacteria and that it also can stop bacteria in the digestive system which means we are killing off the use of good bacteria as well. I have had so many problems lately with digestive distress and I really think it has to do with the dry mouth lozenges that I use a lot of and also I did not realize my protein powder has sucralose in it. :(
My dentist bought a new office as the old one he has had from the beginning was sold along with 3 other businesses on that corner and a CVS went in. I imagine he got something out of it. His new office is much nicer and he has television screens for patients in the rooms.
My daughter has/had the invisible fencing. Their dogs had to have on their collars. I saw grain free tortilla chips advertised somewhere and I cannot imagine that they would taste like tortilla chips. I don't see that many baked chips around anymore. I think the potato chips that are baked taste like cardboard or something. Like I would imagine it tasting anyway. Sometimes when I want tortilla chips to go with a recipe I spray corn tortillas with oil spray and cut into rectangles and bake them. Have to watch though so they are crisp but not browned.

Cathy, nice work with Ice Chiseled Upper Body. I really do love the Ice workouts. That is nice that both of your sons are working at the zoo now. My granddaughter has worked in my daughter's doctors office the last two summers and still working her weekend job one day a week right now.
Who knows with the universities and schools.

Carolyn, I am surprised that we did not have to replace the whole air unit yet. Lennox is evidently a good product. It was in the top list when I was reading up on them. At least we have some more time to pull together funds for a new one. I should have asked what that would be. This one is our smaller unit. The lady that lived here two owners ago had it put in. They left all of the papers and service visits here for us on that. As far as the other, no papers for it. I just go the dates off of the unit. That is good that you did not have to wait too long at the neurologist office. I have been pretty lucky for the most part on waiting for appointments. The eye care place seemed kind of long last time and I was trying so hard to keep from coughing because of my allergies. They put me in a room waiting, but it was quite some time. I watched all of their little films about eye care and covid over and over. Totally bored. I freeze desserts in single servings a lot of the time too.

Hi Everyone,

I'm feeling much better now. I'm glad to have those vaccines over with.

Deb-Great job with LIVE Burn Sets Express Legs! I thought you would like it. I plan to do it again later this week. Awesome that you got so many steps too!

Carolyn-Nice job with Cardio Super Sets and RWH Lower Body Circuit!

Diane Sue-That's good that your air got fixed. Nice job with the KCM workouts!

Valerie-I wouldn't want to stay in a motel or go to a restaurant now either. The cheesecake sounds good.

Cathy-That's great that both of your sons will be working at the zoo. That sounds like a fun job!
Great job with ICE Chiseled Upper Body!

Hi to Lori and Christina!

Judy, I'm relieved I got the vaccines done. I think it leaves pretty much only annual flu shots. or maybe a DTAP booster. not sure on the schedule of those. shingles can be very bad for older people. I was very sick with chicken pox as a older kid, shingles in my early 20's and sick from this vaccine so I react strongly to it. Done! I ordinarily am not bothered by vaccinations. and then of course the COVID vaccine if its ever available and effective.

I would stay in a big hotel chain if I had to and get take out for meals.. we didnt NEED to stay, so avoid the risk.

everyone is doing so well with workouts! we should all be proud of ourselves for dedication and consistency.
