Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 6/22

Hi Ladies,

Picked up my peanuts yesterday and will be going to the movies today :). I may be able to do ME later on.

Judy, the Hoka shoes are available at 6PM.com and are cheaper there. I have ordered from them before.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Josie

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Burn Sets ch, ba, sh (50:43), and last night took Max for a 3 mile walk after dinner.

Deb, it sounds like you are happy this week is over. Any more vacation days coming up?

Judy, how nice that your husband is getting a workout room ready for you. You should post a picture of it when it is finished.

Josie, enjoy your peanuts!

Lori, I am almost finished with Dust. Not sure what I will read next for entertainment.

Off to Jacob's Pillow tomorrow--the Trey McIntyre Project. He's a wonderful, inventive choreographer, and I think this is the third or fourth time we have seen his work.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good evening ladies!

This afternoon was Barre again followed up with X10 low impact. Great combination about 40 minutes. No workout tonight. DH and I decided on Margaritas!

Judy...I think you would like the Intensity Step. Tough but very doable. I did it on a 6 inch step and that was more than enough for me. I have found I now prefer 6 inch from the higher 8 inch. My heart rate stays up and it is more enjoyable for me. Yeah for the gym being moved in the basement. I love my gym and having my own space to workout. It motivates me.

Deb..I agree that most people do not want to be filmed. Some of her classes are busy but never jammed packed.

Lynda...I finished wool but have not started Dust yet. Have fun at Jacob's Pillow!

Josie...enjoy your peanuts!

Hi to Valerie!

Good morning,

It's a beautiful day here and it is supposed to stay this way all weekend. Ahhh..Summer has arrived!

Josie, have fun with the Peanuts!

Lynda, nothing planned yet for vacation. I would like to do something simple, like take the dogs and go to the Catskills or something like that. Have fun at Jacob's Pillow.

Lori, margaritas on a FRiday night sounds a lot better than a workout, especially with how hot it was last night. We were at the training hall, and we had to keep taking breaks for water for the dogs and for us!

Agility class this morning, ( more water breaks!), then maybe some yard work, etc. Also have to get a baby shower gift...

Have a great weekend!

Lori,

Hi Ladies,

Taking the peanuts to the local farmers market for breakfast then to the playground to let them workout for a while. We usually walk there which is about a mile each way.

Their grumpy grandpa (that is what they call him) got then a go kart kit and will be building it later on, so I will have some time to work out.

Deb, keep hydrated :). We are having June gloom here, but it's a bit humid in the evenings.

Lori, margaritas sound great! Sounds like our DH is doing better.

Garance, enjoy Jacob's Pillow. I plan on taking the kids to the Hollywood Bowl to see a Celtic group performing just for kids and after the show they offer an arts and crafts project. Everything for just $15.00 each.

Hi to Valerie and Judy!

Josie

we are back. fun trip. not much painting got done but caulking, scraping, priming etc. so next week we will be gone a lot too. just day trips.

like probably all national parks it was busy. OMG it was busy! we stay outside the park and even those camping areas get busy. I really am tired of people (in general) by the end. it's better before school is out.
however we saw loads. bison and many baby bison. a wolf harassing the bison. and baby pronghorns. loads of them. incredibly cute. sandhill cranes. not many elk. we assume they retreat into the hills to calve. grizzly bear tracks. big horns. little things like prairie dogs, bluebirds. some hiking but not huge mileage. while camping I saw a pair of young badgers and I have to say, that was the best thing. they came very close... a few feet... probably didn't fear humans yet. absolutely beautiful! I never saw one before.
it rained every day, afternoon thundershowers. but otherwise dry. came back and did a significant hike on the way (7 miles 3000 feet gain) home to break up the drive.

the late afternoon storms cut down on campfire smoke and noise in general but we try to camp in dispersed areas.

sounds like everyone is doing well.. I'm a big advocate of basement exercise rooms. our is always cool no matter what season and no need to keep it overly tidy. if we drop cable there won't be any TV down there at all though.
we have a smaller company (Wave cable) but I agree, merging time warner and comcast would create a monster. forget customer service which I hear is far from great even now.
