Lori, the video of Gigi is so cute. I ad an English bulldog once that would dive into the sprinkler like that and eventually grab it and run with it. We, finally had to stop her. She got in the neighbors yard once and tried to take their sprinkler LOL. Gertie does not like being filmed or having her picture taken. It is the weirdest thing. I pick up the phone or tablet to get a shot and pretend I am looking at it and she will take off or lie down with her head on her paws and look at me. I have to be as sneaky as I can. It's like she has radar and knows I am going to try to take a picture. I never had this happen before. Gigi makes a beautiful ornament for your yard

I recently watch a news show talking about heart rate monitors and how people go for the ones that give the higher readings and how they are the least accurate. My first Polar F11gave me the highest reading of all of my heart rate monitors. Fit Bit gives me the lowest. I have seen people post their instagram shots of their phones showing they have burned 800 calories in a 30 minute workout. I just shake my head because I think there is no way> I wouldn't rely on that for help if trying to lose weight.
Deb, I have a hard time saying which S&S workout I love the most. I like a lot about each one. I keep thinking I would like to do the Bootcamp again since it has been awhile. Jari love's workouts are intense. With the compound upper and lower work and the cardio, lots of reps that leave the muscles fatigued and on fire, you get a lot out of them. One thing nice is she always has different ones working at different levels and sometimes some will use a step while others do not. She is usually doing the lighter weights of the group herself. I have an eye appointment to morrow and they are dilating my eyes so they can check the floaters I have in my right eye. My daughter wanted some help with the children since her husband is going to be gone till the weekend on a wounded warrior retreat and her son is off on a youth mission trip. She is still doing some daycare and working on getting her stuff back together to maybe go back to teaching. Anyway, I am not sure if I will go over there in the morning before my appointment yet. I told her I would come and get her two children tomorrow. I was supposed to have my grandson 6, but yesterday found out he has some camp thing he is doing. Friday I may watch the children too or go to her house and just help. I have to prepare for a birthday and fathers day family gathering on Sunday, so it is just getting caught up here and errands run in between.
Valerie, I stand a mirror in front of me when I do preacher curls and try to keep my elbows and arms at the angle they should be. I can't go as heavy that way without losing good form. Of course you never want to drop to a full locked out arm either. I knew someone that had knee replacement surgery . She was able to rid a stationary bike and walk better but the doctor said not to think she can go out and take up a sport or something. Better to take care of our appendages. And you are right, some of these things are not age related. I have dealt with some of my out of whack areas for years hoping to get better, but there is no way I am remaking how I am put together.
Carolyn, I think those long high rep segments actually help with the strength when you go back to the heavier work. I always find them harder to do than the slower heavier work which is why I need to cross train between the two forms of workouts. Each type has a place in the whole picture.
