Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 5/20

that's a great price on baskets. I usually start my own. I like 6-7 of them. I don't grow annual flowers in planting beds, just hanging containers. I like bacopa and calibrachoa, fuschias, and some fancy petunias. in the regular garden beds, I fight slugs all season so hanging pots are easier to manage and a lot prettier.
costco has Miracle Grow planting mix, 40 lbs for $11 so I've used that for the last few years. much better results than with plain old dirt.

I'll have to look for that flour. I used to bake a lot more than I do now but never saw self rising flour. I'm assuming you can't just add baking powder to plain flour and get the same results.
Josie, just you and your daughter in a tent, that would be fine. I was thinking maybe they were big tents with 10-15 people. ear plugs are a mixed blessing. so hard to keep in your ears but if you have a bunch of hard partiers, they help.

ETA did High Reps missed a couple ab moves when I got a phone call I had to take but 99.5% is good enough.

Eyes have started bothering me again so I have not spent much time on the computer. Doctor has suggested a plan not covered by insurance. They put something hot on the inside and outside of the eyelid and squeeze out all the solidified oil. It is supposed to last a year and costs $1500. It doesn't sound like fun.

Dil lost her job. I'd be happier because I won't have to babysit. But if she doesn't teach she will have to work year round and I will have to add three more months.

Started weeding, mulching, spreading stones, weeding mulching etc at 7:00 am when it was cool. Too a break around 9:00 to eat breadfast, then went back out until around 11:30...it was too hot to keep going and my legs had enough.

We are almost done with the garden, maybe a quarter to go. I keep asking myself "why did we put in such a big garden?"

Joan, I sure hope that if you get that procedure done, it helps. It sounds painful.

Off to the mall to return something, my favorite thing to do...
