Cathlete
good morning.
cathy I didn't think of the kangaroos while I was typing but it was amazing to see that great big joey with those long angular legs suddenly fold up and climb into mom's pouch. How do they do that???
I will watch any and all animal videos happily.
Judy we had another adventure at Lowes yesterday. we went early saturday to get some replacement plants. the door into the store from the garden center isn't open until later. this was about 8:30. we plopped about $150 worth of bushes on a cart, and had to walk right past our parked car to go to the main entrance door. it would have been easier to load the plants in our car and drive off without paying. we of course didn't do that, but I do wonder how much stock walks away from that store and no one even notices. I don't want to think they need to set up an armed police state, some "shrinkage is inevitable but no one is even paying attention! sign. we planted everything. we had some very old Weigela bushes that were really woody so we replaced them.

planned to ride this morning but its still relentlessly wet. not raining at the moment but rained all night so will do indoor workout again.

Good morning and Happy Mother’s Day. Today I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga Morning Energy practice for 18 minutes. I felt especially tight this morning so this was very helpful.

Cathy, great job with Cardio Super Sets and part of Stretch Max. I’m sorry about the power outage.

Diane Sue, nice job with the Burpee Girl workout and Boss Bands Total Body.

Valerie, I’m sorry that the rain caused you to cancel your ride this morning. I wonder if Lowes uses a lot of video surveillance for their garden supplies.

Hello to Judy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

This morning I did Cardio Boxing, and the first thing she says it's that it's Cardio Boxing and Metabolic Conditioning. Uses 10 lb weights. I decided to keep going and certainly ended up a sweaty mess, but had to drop my weights down for shoulder moves as Cardio Supersets got my shoulders pretty good yesterday and the boxing was plenty for them.

Valerie sorry that your ride got rained out. I wonder the same thing about the places that have Shop and Scan, can it would be easy enough to stick something down in the bottom of the bag, since when they do check a few items, they grab stuff on top. Unless it's something that needs a tag removed or the alarm goes off at the door. If you have a YouTube account you can subscribe to Derek's channel and watch the videos he puts up each Friday. Next Friday we are probably going somewhere new, but he's already working on the video for that day. Three possible options, but two of them he's waiting for announcements on new things opening. We'll do Toledo if they haven't.

Carolyn good that the yoga really helped you this morning.

Yesterday was another 20,000 + step day at Home Depot so that was my workout. It was one of the busiest days I've ever worked there. It was the first really nice weekend this spring and everyone was focused on gardening and outdoor activities.
Today I did a 45 minute Peloton Power Zone Ride and a 20 minute recovery ride.
I'll be getting my second booster shot on Tuesday and will be taking the rest of the week off work.

Valerie-that's crazy about Lowes. I'm surprised they don't open the garden doors earlier. They open ours at 7 am and have cashiers and a loading crew out there all day.

Carolyn-Great job with Jane Adams Gentle Yoga Morning Energy practice. I need to get back in the habit of doing yoga more regularly.

Cathy-Great job with Cardio Supersets and Cardio Boxing. That's too bad about the power but good that it wasn't out for long.

Diane Sue-Great job with the Burpee Girl workout and Boss Bands Total Body. The more I do the Boss Band workouts, the more I like them.

Today I did Dynamic Total Body. I loved this workout! Just wish I hadn't had that metabolic part added to yesterday's cardio. This one had moves I hadn't seen before along with variations of moves I hadn't seen. Uses 5-15 lb weights, disks and yoga ball. When she says at the beginning the transitions are fast, she is NOT kidding. LOL Would love to see more workouts include the yoga ball. Especially since I have one coming tomorrow as part of what I ordered with the gift card DH gave me yesterday.

Derek is off to his orientation day for his internship. He got to go in three hours later than everyone else, because he already did that part of it last week for his gift shop job. Within a few weeks, we should know whether or not zoo keeping is really for him. From the time he was a preschooler it's what he's wanted to do.

Judy you are certainly getting in a ton of steps at work. Nice job with the Peloton rides. My second booster had no side affects other than my arm was sore for a few hours. Hope yours is the same.

Today I did Cardio Slam, no mat cardio, for 34 minutes and 248 calories burned. My average heart rate was 135 and maximum heart rate was 157. We went out and got our early voting done for the upcoming primary. It only took a few minutes.

Cathy, great job with Cardio Boxing and Dynamic Total Body. I hope that your son’s internship is all that he anticipated. It sounds like it will be very interesting summer for him.

Judy, 20,000+ steps is amazing! Great job with the 45 minute Peloton ride and 20 minute recovery ride.

Hello to Diane Sue and Valerie.

Judy DH and I got our second boosters Friday. his arm got sore. bothered him at night. he sleeps on that side. mine got slightly sore but nothing concerning. hope this is it on recommended shots. you would likely not need to take the week off, but maybe you want to! thats a lot of mileage at work.

this morning we tried to ski. woke up to rain so we stalled a while and then went anyway. we ended up shoveling snow and driving thru several big deep snow patches, and chain sawing 4 different trees and then moving them off the road piece by piece. by the time we got to the snow we were pooped! still skied for an hour but it is really done for the season at this spot. too patchy and the snow that's left wasn't good to ski on. oh well. every year is different.

Today I did a 45 minute Peloton Power Zone ride and a short arm workout.

Carolyn-Great job with Cardio Slam. That's a good one! That's good that you were able to get your early voting done.

Cathy-Great job with Dynamic Total Body. I hope Derek's internship at the zoo goes really well.

Valerie-Great job skiing! It sounds like you got quite a workout in with all of the shoveling and sawing trees.
I hope I don't feel too bad after the booster, but I wanted to have a few days scheduled off just in case. I wanted a short break too, as the next few weeks are going to be crazy and I'll probably be working more hours.

Hi to Diane Sue

Well my morning started at 3:45, and I know when that happens that the odds I'll fall asleep again before 5 aren't good and I needed to be up at 5:45, so I just stayed up. About 4:50, I did my Finished Step workout. LOL Going to be another warm day today, though unlike yesterday we aren't starting out with sun. Heading up to 80.

Carolyn nice job with Cardio Slam.

Valerie it sounds like you got quite the workout yesterday with the shoveling, moving trees and then skiing.

Judy nice job with Peloton ride and arm workout.

This morning I did RWH Back, Biceps, and Shoulders, a premix with 2 sets and no finishers. My time was 40 minutes with 180 calories burned. Average heart rate was 110 and maximum heart rate was 157. I paused my Fitbit when I realized that I had selected the wrong premix. When I started the workout again I forgot to restart the Fitbit for about 8 minutes! Fortunately, I had checked the time when I started so I knew my correct workout time. We got our second booster shots this morning also.

Valerie, you had quite the workout yesterday! Any one of those would have been a workout, but to do all of that shoveling and cutting and moving trees and then skI!! Congratulations to you.

Judy, great job with the 45 minute Peloton ride and short arm workout. That’s good that you have a few days off before your busy work season starts.

Cathy, great job with doing your Finished Step workout at 4:50 a.m. I hope that you get a short nap today.

Hello to Diane Sue.

DH does a lot more than I do. he shoveled. we only have one shovel with us. he runs the chain saw. I do most of the log dragging and rolling. he cuts the tree into 3 foot sections. all the side branches make them hard to wrestle and you need to watch your eyes. lots of "go-fer" duties too. we are not skiing more this week.
we mt biked this morning but it was a bit of a bust. very wet and muddy to the point it was hard to ride. some logging had taken place and a lot of debris on the road. we went for a total of an hour and 20 min and that was enough.

Cathy that is tough, if I wake up too early I would not be inclined to do a workout.

I dont know of anyone who was much bothered by the last booster shot other than a little arm soreness. I still mask in stores or public places. I LIKE not getting headcolds or anything else.

Did Cardio, Glutes and Core Express this morning. Only 38 minutes, but a lot packed in. First cardio section is with the loop, then 5 Hiit type moves with no equipment, then cardio with the stability ball. Then some glute specific work with the ball, finishing with core with the ball. Later I did Stretch Max with the band. Derek had a great day yesterday though his legs got scratched up from unloading a hay load. He worked in the giraffe area: cleaning, feeding and helping get them on and off the Savannah. Not an animal anyone goes in with.

Carolyn nice job with Back, Biceps and Shoulders. Never needed a nap. At 9:00 when I started winding down, I still had more energy than I should have for being up that long. Fell asleep about 9:40 and woke up at 5:25. Didn't workout though until Derek left for work at 6:15.

Valerie great that you persevered and got a mountain bike ride in. Sorry the skiing isn't happening. I agree, I'll happily mask indoors forever as I have loved not getting colds. I'm a really lousy sick person.

This morning I did JS 30 Minute Fat Blaster for 30 minutes and 226 calories burned. My average heart rate was 127 and maximum heart rate was 165. I’m not experiencing any side effects from my second booster.

Cathy, nice job with Cardio, Glutes, and Core Express and Stretch Max. I can’t nap either! Glad that Derek had a great day at the zoo.

Hello to Judy, Valerie, and Diane Sue.

so today it was my turn not to sleep. woke up way too early. could not go back to sleep. I cant nap either , so will go to bed earlier tonight.
turned out much nicer than predicted today. did a road ride. about 22 miles. 2 hrs 15 min. first part with a tailwind was easy, but then one needs to return to the car so it's headwind for just as long. it was tough! there was a french bakery I wanted to stop at so that's why we picked this ride. they have a roll up window and even bike racks. they are a small place so stopped inbdoor seating until the virus is done with us. we bought chocolate croissants and split one. OMG it was good. they were out of almond which was my first choice. luckily this ride is a few miles away so it will be occasional treat, not daily. the WW points were not even bad, half a croissant was 5 points. the ride itself was nice with loads of flowers and birds and only the wind to make it easier to wear off the croissant.

I am not making this long as I have had a terrible headache and left side of my neck has hurt since yesterday. I had PT today and he upped the standing scapular pulls with the pully machine to 10# each hand and when I did the arm overhead and rainbow type move overhead, he handed me 1# dumbbells instead of non weight. Everything was 30 reps this time. The Body Blade is still really hard. I have two mor visits and I will be done. Ladies brunch and game day went well yesterday and we had a lot of fun. It is nice to just visit and laugh with so many things that are negative going on. I have my redo on the mammogram right side tomorrow morning so probably no workout.

This morning I did Live Med Ball Blast and RWH Bonus Abs 1.
I ended up working yesterday so I rescheduled my booster to this afternoon. I'm off work now until Saturday. I have a hair appointment tomorrow afternoon and will probably take a rest day from workouts. Hopefully I won't feel too bad from the shot. My arm is a little sore.

Cathy-Great job with your step routine and Cardio, Glutes and Core Express. Cathe really packs a lot into her shorter Live workouts.

Carolyn-Great job with RWH Back, Biceps, and Shoulder and JS 30 Minute Fat Blaster. I'm glad you aren't experiencing any side effects from the booster.

Diane Sue-I'm sorry about your headache and neck pain. That PT sounds rough but you have made great progress so far. I hope you feel better tomorrow and I hope your mammogram goes well too.

Valerie-Great job with the biking this week. I agree, I will definitely keep wearing a mask in stores and crowded places. I'm one of the few HD employees still wearing one, unfortunately. Most of them couldn't take their mask off fast enough when HD stopped requiring employees to wear them. I am seeing over the past couple of weeks that more customers are wearing them again.

This morning I did RWH Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders, 2 sets and no finishers. That was 31 minutes and 138 calories burned. My average heart rate was 115 and maximum heart rate was 138. The RWH strength workouts are really good, something I had forgotten.

Valerie, nice job with your 22 mile ride. I hope that you enjoyed every bite of the croissant!

Diane Sue, I hope that the headache and neck pain are better today. I’m glad that you are having the mammogram today.

Judy, great job with Live Med Ball Blast and RWH Bonus Abs.

Hello to Cathy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

This morning I did a short run, only 20 minutes. It was so nice out and it felt great to be outside. I haven't felt any effects from the booster other than a headache and sore arm last night.

Carolyn-Great job with RWH Chest, Triceps and Shoulders. I love all the premixes in that series. I agree, the RWH strength workouts are really good.

Hi to Diane Sue, Valerie & Cathy

Did Stacked upper body again, with higher weight levels and a few extra reps. I use the scrambled premixes to do it in different order. makes it faster and fresher. a nasty weather day. cold and wet. Then some old guy clipped my car in the PO parking lot. not serious damage but no reason!. A big space next to me and I was centered in my space. just standard angle parking. my poor car looks like I abused it but I did not put a single dent or scrape into it, all by someone else, including the first dent when a horse leaned on it while we looked at property in MT long ago.

This morning I did RWH Legs, which has cardio blasts after each strength set. My time was 45 minutes and 273 calories burned. Average heart rate was 125 and maximum heart rate was 158. I used low impact modifications for the cardio, as usual.

Judy, great job getting in a run. I’m sure that it felt good.

Valerie, nice job with Stacked Sets Upper Body. I’m glad that the elderly driver didn’t cause real damage to your car.
