Good morning,

Agility class yesterday.

Valerie, that is a long drive (and drive back) to get to some snow. I did look on the portal that my DR group has but no x-ray report was there yet. I am going to call the office tomorrow and see what is up. They said if I wanted an MRI, and not the x-ray, I would have to pay for it myself. Ugh...no thanks.

Carolyn, that is so smart to do those stretches as soon as you get out of bed. I need to do something like that, however, I have 2 dogs with me in crates in the bedroom that are jumping all around to get outside as soon as I get up.

Diane Sue, nice workouts! Pivots off the step sound like a knee disaster waiting to happen! I agree, I think by what I have read about Baker's Cysts, they could go away, as soon as the inflammation is gone. I think that is what causes the cyst in the first place. My knee does not "catch", just aches both in the front and sometimes the back.

Hi to Judy & Lori,

Take care

Today is a rest day for me. Deb, I hope there’s nothing seriously wrong with your knee. I know that you will be relieved to get the X-ray results. The morning stretches that I do are very simple gentle yoga moves but they help with the early morning stiffness in my body.

Hello to everyone and have a great afternoon.

Good morning. we did a hike this morning, about 2 1/2 hours. lovely morning, spring wildflowers are blooming and beautiful. we walked a waterfront park that is a good workout. got there early and left early before the crowds started arriving. there are fawn or trout lilies everywhere, fairy slippers and wild camas. we also saw a seal, a sea lion and porpoises. never get to see the porpoises real well, they circle up and down so quickly.

Deb I think that is it exactly, if there is something irritating inside your knee, you can get some swelling from it. If they don't have enough information from an xray, I'm sure they will schedule an ultrasound or mri but no point ion doing the more expensive testing if a plain film is all that's needed. I sure hope someone figures out what the problem is. you have put up with this for so long!

Today was my rest day/ stretch and I did Raw stretch.

Deb, it will be good to get the tests so you can know what needs done. Gertie is not in my room when I get up, but as soon as I get up she knows and heads to the door wanting out. Although for her that means food and sometimes I have watched and she will sit by the door just waiting to come back in. She has a sneaky thing of walking around the corner, circling and coming back onto the door step. She does that at night too when I let her out before we go to bed. She has not figured out that if she just sits on the step she does not get a bed time treat. She doesn't usually go to her crate at night. She just lays on her dog bed.

Carolyn, hope you had a good rest day.

Valerie, I bet it was beautiful out on the hike. The water front park early sounds nice.

Good morning,

No workout yesterday. Yesterday was my birthday, so we went out to breakfast, then went to the club and worked with both dogs for a while. It was nice.

Valerie, that hike sounds wonderful!

Carolyn, I hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Diane Sue, I know of another sneaky dog that sometimes goes around the corner of the garage where I can't see her and then comes right back. I can tell when she has not gone all the way to the lawn to do her business...so funny that they know to try to pull these tricks on us...LOL....

Hi to Judy & Lori,

Take care,

Deb happy birthday! sounds like a pleasant day doing things you love.

we seem to have fixed the camper roof leak, now to decide if we will go next weekend. we re caulked the skylight. apparently it needs to get done annually. we have lovely weather right now so maybe not leaving so fast. it is still winter in MT. we're going to go ride the tree farm area today. their trails open in 2 days and that is not a good day to be there. want to do a different hike tomorrow, then ride again Wed. when its nice out, my Cathe workouts drop off.

My workout today was Flex Train which is a good combination of metabolic and endurance exercises. My time was 61 minutes with 324 calories burned. Average heart rate was 117 and maximum heart rate was 150.

Deb, happy birthday. The sneaky dog stories are funny.

Diane Sue, Raw Stretch was a good choice for your rest/recovery day.

Valerie, it’s certainly understandable that you choose the outdoor activities over Cathe workouts! I think it’s wonderful that you can do such a variety of things that you enjoy.

Lori, I hope that you are doing well.

Valerie, my insurance agent told me when he came by to look at our sun room that those skylights in our house will eventually leak. They all do. I am not sure if any of the workers have caulked it or looked at it. Hopefully it does not happen. The living room skylight is right over our leather couch and our wood floor would not do to well either. At least I am here most of the time. If the one in the upstairs bath leaks the water would probably run down into the kitchen as that is where it goes if someone visits and takes a shower without putting the shower curtain on the inside of the tub. I learned that lesson after a couple of mishaps.

Carolyn, I love that Kelly Stretch and try to do it at least once a week. It really loosens up everything well. She starts at the neck area and works down. 25 minutes of really good stretching that is held for a decent amount of time.

we never had skylights in our house leak, and we replaced them this last year after 30 yrs. but the camper its an almost annual issue. its a fiberglass camper. I think the caulk around the skylights dries out in the sun/weather, and then when the body flexes a little, when you move it in spring, it causes little cracks. and then it leaks. its not a lot of water but you don't want any. we re-did it yesterday and it looks like the problem is solved. we should plan on doing it every spring. we cover it in the winter with a tarp.

we did our tree farm ride this morning, 2 hours. its amazing how much easier it seems since the first times we did it. then did some garden work this afternoon, but not too much. 2 hours of riding makes me feel pretty wiped out later that day.
Carolyn, my Cathe workouts are great, but my first loves are hiking and riding. and skiing and snowshoeing. but Cathe workouts sure make it easier to do those things right out of the box.

Good morning,

No workout yesterday. I did 2 classes in the morning, and my legs were really hurting. I was going to call my DR to get the X-ray results, but it slipped my mind and before I remembered, it was past 5 pm and they were closed. The report is not on the portal for some reason.

Valerie, thanks! Yes, it was a good day, no big celebration, John got me Weather Tec car mats for a gift...LOL...:p. Sounds like you had a great ride on the tree farm.

Carolyn, nice job on Flextrain...it really is a good workout al around.

Diane Sue, thanks! Yes, sky lights and flat roofs, always worry about leaks. We have a sky light in an office in our attic, and luckily, for some reason, it has never leaked. I did that shower curtain thing once when I was young, and we were renting an upper flat. The landlady came yelling up the stairs while I was still in the shower. My mother had no idea what she was screaming about. the bathroom in the lower flat had water pouring into it. Funny how those things stick in your mind.

Judy thanks!. Enjoy your time off!

Hi to Lori,

Take care,

Deb weather tec floor mats are fabulous! They last forever. We pull them out and switch to new car when we trade in. hose off and like brand new. Each of our vehicles have a set.

Maybe they won’t post in your chart until they explain results to you in plain English. Mine were in technical radiologist language. I was surprised to see the report in My Chart

Today I did Low Max, combos 1-4 and part of combo 5. My time was 49 minutes with 341 calories burned. Average heart rate was 131 and maximum heart rate was 158.

Hello to everyone and have a great day.

My days keep getting pushed late and it is hard to get everything in. Was trying to help my daughter with her yahoo business email that she has through us and cannot get into, then had to call my bank because they had done something odd with my account. They ended up fixing it and giving me back my money. Anyway, I did Coffey Fit Raw Boxing and drills, 29 minutes, heart rate average 141, max 162, met 8.3, 220 calories, 2,658 steps. Then I decided to try a Ripped and Ride on the Tread Climber and did the March on. Kelly uses 12.5 and 8# dbs. I took 10's down and that is all I used. I didn't want to go too heavy as I plan on stacked sets lower tomorrow and I have stacked sets upper coming that I will do Thursday or Friday. Ripped and Ride was 40 minutes, heart rate average 122, max 162, 1,800 steps. I guess the heart rate dropped somewhat for the weight segments off the tread climber. I didn't push to the max speed though. The most I went was 3.5 mph and I build to that each interval. Max it goes is 4.5 and you really have to hold on with at least 1 hand to stay in control. I like to be able to let go part of the time.
Total time was 69 minutes 468 calories, 4,458 steps.
We have had loads of heavy rain and some flooding. My daughter kept me on her phone while she drove home as it was hailing and pouring so hard she could hardly see in front of her. Driving in the country and no other cars on the road , there are a lot of hills and dips. She had one area where things were floating across the road. I am glad she has a decent vehicle. I was going to go back to Sprouts for the last day of their 25 off sale for vitamins, supplements and skin care, but decided I did not want to go out in the ugly weather.

Valerie, rains and hail with the skylights was part of the reason our fifth wheel was totaled. So much water go inside and we had roofers come out and cover our roof and the fifth wheel and more storms came and blue the tarps off while waiting on insurance. We had neighbors come over to try and help us get things back covered, but it did not help. It blew off again. This was just tarps though and not a regular cover.

Judy, enjoy your day off.

Deb, I am always waiting till it is too late when I remember I had a call that I needed to make. I am hoping we can get it figured out. I bet something like the landlady coming up with the water would be a memorable experience. I bet you were careful after that one. I am sorry you keep experiencing all of that pain for such a long time.

Carolyn, nice workout and calorie burn.

Good evening ladies,

Still enjoying LEKfit and BBS. Been doing a combination of Dance, Bounce, Hiit interspersed with upper, lower and core. Yes, you read that correctly...enjoying the core work outs of BBS and LEKfit. Who would have thought! I am going to stick with these for now. This is where my heart is. I think you all can agree. :) I cancelled Cathe Live. I love her workouts, just do not do them enough. I will not renew Bellicon and SBF when they come up.

Been really sad since last week. My son was laid off from my company. His position was eliminated. Hard for me since he was my son and they were concerned how I would handle it. I was not happy but still needed to be professional. Was very hard! All is good though and the stars aligned...he already received a call for some video contract work. He will be fine.

Judy...it has been so cold here in the mornings. Hard to believe it is May tomorrow. I can see how the work is physical. I bet you just crash at night. Amazing you are able to get workouts in! Even though Nick was laid off he is still running with Chelsie. He has been doing our landscaping too. We were going to pay a company due to all the large branches that came down this winter. Now we are paying him. :)

Deb...Happy Birthday!!!!! I feel for you with agility class after PT! Ouch!! Good for you selling off some stuff. We need to do the same.

Diane Sue...every time you do a Raw workout I wish I could review it. I may sign on again for a month in the summer. Thinking I will need a change by then. 6lb ankle weights are only for the leg conditioning/strength workouts. She has us put two 3lb weights on one leg. I now bounce wearing 3lbs. No matter the workout I always put them on, before I start, for that extra burn.

Valerie...I love having a portal where I can look at my medical records and results. I have had this for several years now. All my doctors are in the same system so everything is there. Still winter in MT. Yikes! I agree with Carolyn...Your variety is great.

Carolyn...I loved Flextrain, been ages since I have done this on. Thanks for reminding me of it. We are the same way with cleansing easier to donate than sell. We really could use a good yard sale. Perhaps if my son has time he can organize and keep the profits. Win win for both. Our house is cleansed and he makes some $ :)

Have a great night all!

diane sue we use a tarp designed to fit on a truck camper. it is not perfect. it has a lot of tie downs and protects from sun and winter weather. we get a lot of rain but usually spread out over time so nothing like a downpour. it prevents grunge build up and keeps the camper reasonably clean. the tarp itself deteriorates from exposure, so probably have to replace it next year. fabric is splitting in lots of places. it is worth the cost. camper is clean when we open it up in spring. still the caulk deteriorates from sun and weather. we will plan on re doing it every spring.

we did a hike this morning. only about a 40 min up and back down but it is a steep trail. lots of lovely flowers .

Deb too funny...my mother used to go nuts with the shower too. she didn't want water getting on the floor, but she didn't want the shower curtain liner getting wet either so it was a screaming match every time I took a shower. no way to please her. there was only one shower too. hope you get your results so you can get a plan going for helping your knee.

Good morning,

No workout yesterday.

Valerie, I checked the portal, no x-ray results. Called the office, and of course the snippy receptionist asked " Did you check your portal?"..when I told her, I had, and it wasn't there, she sheepishly admitted that she hadn't "released it" to the portal yet, but would do it right now. About an hour later, and then again late last night I checked, still not there. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, some systems process changes etc, overnight, so will see if it is there today. If not, she is getting another call. So frustrating. I did ask her who would go over the results and she said my PT guy. I said I was surprised, since he wasnh't a DR and she said he is capable of interpreting the x-ray report, does it all the time, and it is usually in plain English anyway. Whatever. I don't see him again for a week. Yes, John as had a set of the Weather Tech mats for years, and has moved them to new cars.

Carolyn, good job on Low Max. Assume you are doing the April rotation. A new one should be out today.

Diane Sue, that Ripped & Ride is a KCM Raw? Sounds like fun Wow, that sounds like horrible weather. Glad you daughter made it home safely. Those country roads can be very scary in bad weather.

Lori, great job on the workouts, and yes, you should do what is really fun. Sorry about your son's position being eliminated. Good that he already has some work lined up. Yes, still cold here too. Wore a winter jacket, hat and gloves when walking the dogs this morning. Ugh. Great idea on your son organizing a yard sale! Talk about a "WIN-WIN"!

Judy, hope you had a nice day off.

Take care,

Lori we posted at the same time. sorry your son lost his job. best of luck to him on finding another position. employment is a lot less predictable than it used to be.
I do not have all my medical people using the same portal so I can get only part of my info there. its unfortunate but not every group uses the same software and the systems don't "talk" to each other. my primary is in a group that uses Epic but there are other software programs and my understanding is programs are unable to exchange information. .

Deb better luck getting the info today, or at least next week. its weird how somethings get posted immediately and other things only after pleading and begging. my medicare supplement nags me constantly about getting a flu shot. I always get it done in early October but it doesn't get posted so United nags and nags. phone calls, letters etc. Like most people I don't answer anonymous phone numbers. this year I finally contacted my primary' office to record for me so the nagging would stop. immunizations here are done in pharmacies. I don't think they notify, or maybe don't have easy access. as soon as I had the info added , the nagging stopped. all I needed was saying I'd had it done and an approximate date. next year I will know to do that right away.

with our outdoor activity, we always have dirty muddy boots. so our floor mats are usually dirty, but unlike carpet, we hose them off and back to pristine. its the first thing we put in a new car.
ETA we did a paved trail ride this morning, our usual one 26 miles. somehow we managed to get a head wind in both directions so took longer than usual, 2 hrs 25 min.

I didn’t have a lot of time to work out this morning, so I chose a short cardio. I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix for 25 minutes and 216 calories burned. My average heart rate was 142 and maximum heart rate was 161.

Diane Sue, you have had fierce weather in your area recently. I’m glad that things are okay for you and your family. Not going out to Sprouts was a good decision.

Deb, that must be very frustrating to continue waiting for your X-ray results. My primary care doctor has a terrible portal and I always have problems with it. I am doing week 2 of the April rotation since I originally skipped the first two weeks. Cathe already posted the May rotation Monday night.

Lori, it’s great that you discovered Lekfit and BBS—and you are doing the abs! I’m sorry that your son’s job was eliminated. That happens a lot with businesses these days.

Hello to Judy and Valerie.
