Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 3/13

We had a tough drive yesterday and are on the Oregon coast for a day visiting in laws. Will head towards CA tomorrow. No workout but that's ok. I brought along a firewall band and a long band and will do therapy stuff.

All my older DVDs play just fine on the player. I will try the ice series. On our newer player and see if it is more reasonable.

I don't have any Ina books but her stuff always looks good on tv. She is a bit heavy handed with fats for me but that's is easily adjusted. I try as many new vegieS or salads as I can. Not everything is a winner but you find out pretty quickly what will work for you. A calorie is a calorie for me so I lighten the fat level most of the time and like it better that way.

Lori glad you are improving... Some viruses are tougher than others.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did Live Ice upper and lower body blast (51 min.). 8 rounds of a blast, followed by a lower body, then an upper body. I had to modify the impact on some of the blasts. Good circuit workout.

Deb, I would characterize the weight work at the end of Gloved and Ready as just keeping the heartbeat up--so cardio. Cathe says it's not enough to build any lean muscle. Compound moves. Sorry you have to attend a predictably contentious meeting. I use my wok a lot. Stir fry veggies with some chopped ginger and garlic are always good.

Have a good trip, Valerie!

Lori, your DS really did it to you! How long did it take for him to get over this virus? At least the weather has continued to be pretty nice for March.

Hi to Judy and Josie!

Today's workout was Cathe Live 2014 Road Trip Step, 47 minutes, 347 calories. This was much more intense with lots of jacks and jumping on and off the bench. The first 15 minutes seemed light then it kicked up and around 39 minutes it went back to the warm up moves and then the stretch. Actually I thought I had clicked on one that was cardio with low impact blasts and wondered when we got out the step. After this I did Live Crush It Low Impact skipping the warm up and doing 17 minutes, 117 calories. This was 64 minutes and 476 calories. I then did a Sarah Beth Yoga from you tube that was a 15 minute challenge for hips which was holding the poses for a bit longer. My neck is feeling quite a bit better. Two days ago I got this idea to use a clay based heat wrap on my shoulder. It is heavy and, oh my gosh, in a short time it was painful. I will not do that again. It hurt that whole night. I wish I knew which Live kickbox workouts were mainly kicking and not so much punching. I need to preview some more.

Lori, I used to back bread all of the time. My children grew up with homemade bread and did not have to eat the store bought stuff. I was happy when my son got me the bread machine when he was older. I have had it for years since he is 41 now :) I make bread once in awhile but I don't generally eat bread. Only once in awhile. If I make it I eat too much and without anyone but dh and I that can not be a good thing. Once in awhile I will pull it out and make cinnamon roll dough in it or rolls for family gatherings or brunch at my daughters. It is a wonderful smell first thing in the morning. Better even than coffee except I have went to using a French press with fresh ground beans so I don't wake up to that anymore either. I am so sorry that you are feeling so lousy still. It seems it has to let up soon.

Deb, it is easier to remember the weight work. Sometimes when there is a break I will just write down a couple of letters to help me remember so when I am done I can try to put it all together. Cardio workouts are harder and workouts that have lots of different rep ranges may not have completely accurate reps written or I just skip writing it down. I like to know what I am in for, just in case I don't want to do certain moves. Yes, we have a doggie cookie jar on the end of the counter. She gets in pose every time my husband goes in the kitchen. She has a cookie jar in the florida room as well. She goes in there at night after her last call outside and waits for her bedtime cookie. She doesn't stay though. She goes to bed when we everyone else is in bed. She has other doggie mats around the house. Oh, and their are dog oookies upstairs as well. I don't give them up there very often. We do have a fenced small yard in back and a gated walkway to our door. She only likes to go out for any length of time if someone else goes out with her.

Good evening ladies!

Yeah I finally worked out. I did SB barre for about 30 minutes. I kept it to a couple intermediate lower targets and it felt great but I am still weak so left it at that. Do not want to push things. I think untill I am at 100% I'll keep to these intermediate targets.

I still am stuffed up but draining pretty good (sorry if TMI). Today was better than yesterday so I'll take it. I am really exhasuted from lack of sleep. Yesterday I went to bed at 7:30pm. I may make it to 8pm tonight.

Deb...stinks you have not been able to get to the sort. Glad the spread sheet is working for you. I have not forgotten to send the updated excel to you all. When I am feeling better I will make sure to get to it. The ladies at work all fizzled out. There have been a few sick so not surprised. We did talk about starting on Monday so hoping we are all better by then!

Valerie...you sound like me taking your bands with you! How has your knee been?

Lynda...I like the live upper and lower a lot. Great workout. I am looking forward to doing tomorrow's when I am feeling better. Love the sound of it! My son took about 10 days to recover from his cold I am on Day 9 so hoping to get relief soon.

Diane Sue...what a good mom making bread! My son would laugh hysterically if some one asked if I did! I have 4 brothers and no sisters. All my brothers are great cooks. Not sure what happened with me. I just like to eat someone's great cooking. :p

Good morning,

Well the meeting was not as bad as we thought it was going to be. The usual "malcontents" performed as expected. Why do people have to be so ornery?

Valerie, have a fun and safe trip! I'm sure you will see some beautiful landscape and some interesting animals/birds.

Lynda, Thanks for the info on the workout, I will add it to my cardio Live list. I wish my wok was smaller and could be stored in the kitchen....I know this sounds dumb, but going to the basement to dig it out each time makes me change my mind and use something else. Speaking of cookware, I just got a 5 quart, ceramic non-stick Dutch oven that I use to brown the turkey for the dog's food....wow, this is the best pan I have ever had. Clean up is a breeze, and it has a glass cover with the strainer built in for pouring out any grease etc. I want another one, but they don't come any larger.

Diane Sue, LOL at the number of doggie treat jars you have around the house. I understand why though. What kind of dog is she? Sorry if you mentioned before....post a pic! :).

Lori, glad you are feeling better! Good that you are getting some rest, your body must need it. I have been meaning to ask...what does it mean when you refer to "intermediate targets" and how do you keep to those in a workout? I hope the Ladies start back on Monday....it is obvious that they need you to motivate them. :). I'm with you on the cooking....John is the cook in this house, I do the clean up and like it that way!

Hi to Judy & Josie,

Not much going on here, John going fishing, I think.......a workout, then processing the dog food I made yesterday.

Take care,

Hi Everyone,

Chris had to go out of town for work this week. He left Sunday night and returned last night. He had to drive to Louisville, about a 6 hour drive from here. He is still coughing from the flu he had so it wasn't a very pleasant trip for him. This makes 2 weeks that he has been coughing.
It was quiet here with just me and the cats so I watched a couple of movies with Apple TV. I rented both of the Steve Jobs movies, "Jobs" from 2013 with Ashton Kutcher and "Steve Jobs" from 2015. I didn't really prefer one over the other. Both were well done, though I think the 2015 movie was a more accurate portrayal of facts and a more detailed character study of Jobs.

Sunday I did KCM Muscle Up, Full Body Premix with abs; Monday I did a 1 hour Spinerval; Tuesday I did 4 DS Shoulders, Calves & Core & yesterday I did another Spinerval. Tuesday my low back & hip started bothering me again, for the first time in quite a while. I went to the chiropractor Tuesday afternoon. Getting adjusted did help, but I'm going to have to be careful with lower body work so I don't end up where I was last year. I think I might have strained something doing some of the lower body moves in the KCM workouts that I did last week.

Deb- I really have to try the Live Barbell Upper Body. I only have 1 barbell but I've been thinking about getting another bar or a 15-18 lb body bar. It would make Cathe's barbell workouts easier. With workouts like Muscle Endurance, I always have to pause the dvd a few times while changing weights.

Lori-it's good that you were able to workout again. Definitely don't push things to hard though. Lack of sleep can really make you feel horrible :( I hope you are back to 100% soon.

Diane Sue-that's so cute about the doggie cookie jars! I'd love to see a photo of your dog!

Lynda-stir fry veggies sounds really good! I need to add more veggies to my diet and that would be a good way to do it.

Valerie- I hope your trip is going well. I would love to go to Oregon. We have some cousins that live there and they love it!

Hi to Josie!

Judy

Hi everyone--

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Skip the pub crawl and try an Irish coffee.

This morning I did Ice Sweat both workouts (46:13). Tomorrow I may have to try Bun Burners Barre and Ball--the one Cathe recorded yesterday. The title cracks me up.

Judy, thanks for the review. I don't like Ashton Kutcher, but I might try the Fassbender version since he was nominated for an Oscar along with Kate Winslet. Do take care of your back and hip. You went through a lot last year. I do a really good stir fry of eggplant after baking it and stripping it from the skin. Lots of garlic and chili sauce. Serve it over noodles. I have a lot of Chinese cookbooks. DH always cuts the meat for me for orange beef, twice-cooked pork and chicken with walnuts. Great to have a sous-chef with good knife skills.

Diane Sue, there is a lot more punching than kicking on these Live workouts IMO. KPC and RK both have more kicks. MMMMM--I love a good cinnamon roll or sticky bun if the pastry is really good. A bakery in Avalon NJ (Jersey Shore) had sticky buns to die for and Danish that was unreal. I don't bake bread either. I had a bad experience in Home Ec--over kneading I think--and really can't make a decent pie crust either. Oh well! I bake a good cake.

Deb, what kind of Dutch oven did you get? How's Bosch?

Finished streaming season 4 of HOC. Very dark.

Hi to Valerie and Josie!

This morning I did Cathe Live Mish Mosh Legs, 50 minutes, 287 calories and added Hammer and Chisel 10 minute Chisel Abs, 48 calories. I chose this abs workout because there are is no crunches and moves that make me have to hold my head up against gravity. It is plank type work on forearms and step and seated ab work on bench. There was only one spot in Mish Most legs where I had to skip out on the overhead press. My neck is much improved and the mobility was a lot better yesterday. Last night though I slept on that side and woke in the middle of the night with the shoulder hurting and up into the neck. I should have taken something but it was not hurting so I thought why take anything when I went to bed. I will see how today goes. The shoulder doesn't hurt but if there is a little pressure on it it will.
Mish Mosh legs went like this (as well as I can remember it ;)
warm up 11 minutes with increasing intensity
squat lunge pulses 10#
side step squat(3) 10#
forward facing squat/ lunge then adding a hop bodyweight
curtsy lunge with pulses 15# dumbbell
firewalker around ankles begin with deadlifts 15#/ leg press backs then leg curls high reps repeat other side
10# dumbbells walking lunge 3 then turn plie squat then return
side to side walking lunge
Rear lunge and pulses back to standing 15 # -15 and 1, 7 and 1 repeating several times
squat 15# pulses/ single leg deadlift right then repeat on other leg
firewalkers with loop high and low
Move to the mat
outer thighs supine open close with firewalker loop
hydrant cross foot over ankle 24, 16,16 reps firewalker loop
forearm plank step out out in in firewalker loop
remove firewalker loop and pick large dumbbell using one foot on it do single foot on and leg extended hip raises

Lynda, I just had a cup of Irish Cream flavored coffee with coconut milk :) Thanks for the thoughts on the kickboxing in the live workouts.

Judy, I have seen the older Steve Jobs Movie. When I was alone I never wanted to watch a movie. I always liked it much better sharing it. I guess I am a bit odd. I had my 1 hip and low back go into some sort of spasms the live spin workout. I have never had that happen with spinning before. I had to do a lot of stretching and stuff just so it wouldn't hurt when I walked around. I thought maybe I made the hills too intense and should have maybe took it down a bit. I will find a couple of pictures of Gertie. She is such a sweet dog, I love her to pieces. When my husband found her and bought her home I had just had the knee surgery and her and my other dog did not get along. I swear I thought she was going to be devil dog. She bit chunks out of my other dog and was really evil. Perseverance and lots of studying and reading and she turned out to be a wonderful dog.

Deb, the vet called her lab. We think she may have a bit of something else in there but I am not sure. I totally understand going to the basement to get stuff. I don't like having to go dig for something and drag it to the kitchen either. I am glad that your meeting wasn't too bad :)

I have to go resize a picture of Gertie. I will post in a while. We have my grandson 15 here cleaning our outside air units.

First leg of trip done. We drove around a lot and got out for numerous short walks sil has artificil knee bil has new hip. He does well, she not so much. Did my therapy with band two times, sInce walking wasn't really work for us. Oregon coast was nice, lots of surf and cliffs and beach but I'm not a beach person one day was PLENTY.
Didn't get to watch Spotlight, we were tired and they talk so much during and don!t use cc so we both miss half the dialogue. Didn't!t want towatchthe movie like that. Watched HOC but need to rewatch. Same thing, miss half of what,s said. Dh complained too, so it's not my ears. They just yap on during programs! We showed them Orange. Is new black but not sure they!ll continue it because of the gay focus.

I haven't seen the second jobs movie just the first but I was pleasantly surprised as I don't like Ashton much but thought it was a decent movie.

Ha I used to make bread ALL the time but we don,t eat much anymore. Don't need all the sandwiches. But I made cinnamon rolls for this trip. Didn't try them yet. My bread machine is in the basement too. I use it too knead but not to bake. Use it for focaccia and French bread.

This is as a pup. I have to go back and resize the recent one because it is still too large.

Good evening ladies!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I posted on FB this morning a clip of me kissing the Blarney Stone in 1994. Seems like ages ago. Feeling better each day. Still congested and coughing but clearly have turned the corner. Came home and did the barre and ball portion from today's live workout. With a quick warm up and cool down it was about 30 minutes. Which was just enough for me today. My DH made corn beef and cabbage that we will be eating shortly. Love having him home!

Deb...Suzanne Bowen's streaming workouts are mostly target workouts. Meaning she is focusing on one general area the entire workout. Usually they can be as little as 5 minutes or as much as 15 to 20 minutes. One may focus on thighs or thigh and seat, or just arms, etc. Some are harder than others and all are very easy to combine to get a really great lower body, upper or total body workout. You know how I need variety so her site works well for me. She does have total body workouts too that can be challenging.

Judy...your poor husband! Good to know about the Steve Jobs movie. My DH wants to see the newer one. Hope your back is well soon!!!!

Lynda...today's workout was great. Can't wait to do the entire workout. The first 2 parts will make a great travel legs workout for me. Yes agree the live Kickboxing have a lot of upper body. There is one that has a great lower section with some good kicks but need to think which one it is. They are all a blur to me sometimes. Oh all the cooking you do! So nice.

Diane Sue...so sorry that your neck is still bothering you. How long now? 3 weeks? I do not think I have done the mish mosh legs yet. As soon as I am back to full out workouts I really want to try the bootcamp she just did and the metabolic. They both look really great to me. Do you like Autumn Calebrese? She does not bother me at all but reading over at VF there are so many people that do not. Have you seen the Country Line Dance workout BB is releasing soon? Autumn is leading this and the opinions are flying on this one! Not my thing but it looked fun none the less. Gertie is very cute!

Hi to Valerie and Josie!

Lori, I love corned beef and cabbage. I bet you were happy to come home to that. I am glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. I have read so many negative things about Autumn Calabrese but, I really liked her in Hammer and Chisel. She seemed more attentive to what everyone was doing and them doing it right than Sagi in this series. I did her workout that was added on to the Hammer and Chisel workouts to check it out and liked it. I think it was Dirty Thirty Extreme from 21 Day Fix Extreme. I have that set on my wish list. I had put it on and taken it off so many times when reading the reviews. I didn't look at what Cathe was doing today till after I was done with my workout. I think I will try that one on Saturday. As far as Video Fitness every time I have tried to read over there it seemed like there was a lot of critical and negative stuff and some are really hard on instructors. Also I have found I must not be looking at the workouts the way others do or something. I am sure some of it is good. I used to go there just to read workout reviews. After years of experience I have learned that what is really the hot workout for awhile is soon forgotten. It is the ones that everyone keeps going back to that I tend to sit up and take a look at. I had not seen the Country Line Dance Workout. I don't know that I would go for that. Years ago I did a Country Line Dance workout with Denise Austin just for fun. Before my injury when I was on Beach Body everyone was gearing up for the new short length workout set with Tony Horton, 22 minute Hard Corp. When they had the free one workout on Super bowl Sunday some seemed a bit disappointed. I haven't been back to look. I think I am not ready to go to more pull ups and crazy stuff. Thanks on Gertie being cute. It has been more than 3 weeks for the shoulder. It had already been hurting a week and a half before I decided to go see the doctor. So it is closer to 5 weeks. I am getting a bit tired of it.

Good morning,

Yesterday I did KCM Plateau Busters, "both workouts" premix. Thanks Judy for reminding me about this one. 45 minutes, and 292 calories.

Judy, I hope Chris is better soon....I thought that Tamaflu was working for him? I did not see either of those Jobs movies...I guess they are not on Prime if you rented them. I would wonder too if the issue with your hip came back because of a KCM move. I like her a lot but she does do some strange (unconventional) ones in a few of her workouts. I have been toying with getting another body bar too, I would like an 18 pound one. They are pretty expensive in the stores, I checked out Dick's and they are high. Actually Amazon Prime was the cheapest so far. Have you looked on line for one yet? I also want to get a yoga mat, something my feet won't slip on when doing planks. I think that is half of my problem. Cathe is not selling them any more :(. She really has hardly anything for sale on the site any longer.

Lynda, let us know how that Bun Burner Live workout is....LOL....I liked the name too, and looked at the clip....it will be a tough one I think. I finished Season 2 of Bosch....it was pretty good. I hope they do another season. I got this pan:

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/sto...sic+Ceramic+Nonstick+5+qt.+Covered+Dutch+Oven

Diane Sue, Gertie is such a cutie. I would say she is a lab too. glad you neck is improving. I can see how any lying core work would affect it though.

Valerie, are you travelling with SIL and BIL? Do they camp too? Where are you watching movies etc?

Lori, kissing the Blarney Stone? That's great! I went over and Googled Autumn and saw the ad on the line dancing workout.....I liked her in the 21DF series. I don't think it's nice at VF to pan it before it's even out, but line dancing? It also seems like it is one DVD/workout, not a series or anything, but she includes the 21 DF containers and the eating plan? I didn't see a clip anywhere...how can they pan it without even seeing it?

Hi Josie,

A workout, and some clean up projects around here...I have a list that I need to get back to...anyone have any plans for the weekend?

Take care,

Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday I did a 75 minute Spinerval and felt really good, no pain at all. I'm going to wait another day or 2 before I try any lower body weight work. I may do an upper body & core workout later today. Chris woke up feeling worse :( so he is calling in sick and we will be going back to urgent care this morning.

Deb-you can rent the Jobs movies on Amazon Prime, but the cost is the same, $3.99 for the Ashton Kutcher one and $5.99 for the Fassbender one. There are a few documentaries on Jobs that are free with Prime. I have them in my watch list. I think you are right about the KCM moves. I love her workouts but there are a couple of lower body moves that I probably should modify and I didn't. Actually I think it might have been the one where she does supermans on a bench instead of on the floor. That is in Muscle Up, which I did on Sunday. I will just leave that out the next time I do it. It's too bad that Cathe doesn't sell the mats or other products anymore. I'll take a look at the body bars on Amazon when we get back from urgent care.

I'll check back in later today.

Judy

Hi Ladies,

This week I ran on Tuesday and worked out with Karina, Wednesday I went spinning, Thursday I did Bodypump and Karina and today I ran 3 miles. My workout partner bought me breakfast after our run :). Tomorrow I plan on going to Zumba and Bodypump and Sunday I will be doing a 60 mile ride. I'm trying to do all my workouts before I pick up the peanuts on Monday, they will be here for a week.

Lori, glad that you are feeling better. That was so nice of your DH to make dinner.

Deb, I made pizza yesterday and added all kinds of vegetables to it. This might be another way for you to get your veggies. I got all the ingredients at Trader Joe's including the dough.

Garance, I love to make stir fry's. I make it with chicken or beef or pork. I add lots of different vegetables.

Judy, that is so bad that your DH is sick again. Take care of yourself too.

Valerie, I hate when I watch a movie or any program and people are talking. Enjoy your trip.

Hi to Diane Sue!

Josie

Hi everyone--

This morning I did Live Bun Burners Barre and Ball (47 min.). Since this was the St. Patrick's Day workout, Cathe should have started it with Blarney Bun Burners Barre and Ball. Try saying that 5 times fast! I liked the first two parts, but as usual, I just always have problems with the ball roll-ins--probably why I should do them. I think I will be feeling this one tomorrow.

Diane Sue, Gertie definitely looks like black Lab, but there must be something else in her as well--she looks more 'refined' than a Lab. A cutie for sure. Looks like she's begging with her chin resting on the chair and those intense eyes.

Lori, I made corned beef and cabbage too. I also use some of the broth to make a mustard cream sauce with horseradish and chives, grainy mustard, and of course, cream. Make a roux first. Yum--so good with little potatoes on the side. I don't think I have an iota of Irish blood in me, but I still like this dish. Of course, it's also DH's brisket and it's nice and tender.

Deb, that's a good looking Dutch Oven. I have a couple French ones, but neither is non-stick. I am looking forward to bingeing on Bosch. If we had another weekend like the last one, I would probably be outside doing yard cleanup, but now they are talking snow!

Judy, maybe that road trip wasn't a good idea. Hope your DH feels better soon. Sometimes flu turns into a bronchitis that is hard to shake.

Valerie, I don't like people who chat during a movie either. Or, if they have candy wrappers that make a lot of noise. Or, if they are texting or checking their phones for texts. I would be perfectly happy if I were completely alone in a theater. Just me and some popcorn is a perfect date.

Phew, Josie, that's a lot of workouts. I guess you need to get in shape for the peanuts. Have fun!

Hi Everyone,

We went to urgent care and Chris got a prescription for a medrol dose pack and naproxen. He has had a bad headache along with the coughing and the doctor said it was a cluster headache. He doesn't have a fever, just the coughing and headache.

Josie-thanks! I'm very lucky that I haven't gotten anything yet. My throat is a little scratchy but I think it's from the pollen count going up.
Great job on all your workouts!

Lynda-you are right, that road trip was not a good idea. I really wanted him to cancel it but there were meetings scheduled and other people were going. He felt like he had be there no matter what. I'm hoping he will get good rest this weekend.

Diane Sue-I agree about the video fitness forums. I read them occasionally and every time it seems like they are negative. I hope your shoulder gets better soon.

Lori-I'm glad you are feeling better! It's funny, I did the ancestry.com DNA testing earlier this year and it came out almost 50% Irish yet I have never had Corn Beef & Cabbage and I haven't been to Ireland. I had to google the Blarney Stone to find out where it was..

Today I mixed up some mostly cardio workouts that are low impact. First I did Cathe's Low Impact Crush It Live, 33 minutes, 204 calories. I changed the moves from overhead on some moves with the weights and one move, I just did not use a weight that had you move forward and punch out with a dumbbell. I have done this one before but wanted low impact today. I then put Cathe Live Low Impact Cardio Strength with Step to try out. I did not do all of it but it was doable for most of it and I can see I can use the first part for a low impact cardio. I did 39 minutes of this one out of the 53 minutes total and watched enough to get the moves written down. I finished off with YOu Tube Fitness Blender Feel Good Stretch cool down. 15 minutes, 40 calories. This was a somewhat active stretch. Total time today including the stretch was 87 minutes and calories burned 504.
Low Impact Cardio Strength with Step live format:
6 minute warm up
step cardio with one riser on each side 17 minutes
break and raise step to 3 risers each side unless you want to stay with one
10# dumbbell step up and over repeating then up and over with an overhead press
then up with a side raise leg and upright row( no weight)
switch to 5 or 8 # dumbbell leg adduction with a front swing all on one side then switch sides(I did a bicep curl here)
5# lateral raise knee up all one side then switch sides (I used no weight here)
At 32 minutes mat - I dis some stepping and watched part of this.
Straight leg push ups, standing rear flies, repeat but push ups with an arm out, repeat but push ups with shoulder tap
lying triceps press, pull overs, overhead seated extension repeat
I started back here and did the biceps
bicep curl seated, hammer curl standing repeat I did 15# the first time but I felt it a bit in the shoulder so dropped to 10#
I did not do the core which was crunch, plank, and superman
I did the stretch but it was pretty brief

Lynda, my daughter has a chocolate lab that is 2 months younger than Gertie and she is a bit more husky and her nose is a bit wider or something. Not a lot but a bit different facial features. Gertie is pretty slender and when she sprawls out on the floor she makes me think of a wet seal because her coat is kind of glossy. One of the differences in the other dog though is that she runs the 15 acres and even with that the vet told them she was getting fat. She has slimmed down a bit since they got the puppy to play with. Gertie lays her head on the arm of the chair or my lap and gazes at me. Sometimes it is for attention and petting. Sometimes it is closeness. If she is on the floor or I am on the floor she needs to touch me or put a paw on me. She divides her attention between me and my husband. It is really sweet. I had to laugh at the blarney bun burners and ball 5 times. That would be a mouth full. The ball roll ins was one of the things that was harder to do after my knee surgery for some reason. I never had a problem before and even now if my knee is a bit off the ball roll ins kind of hurt when trying to kee pit stable.

Josie, you have quite a plan for the workouts. I bet that you will enjoy the peanuts when they get there :) I love a veggie pizza.

Judy, that's great that the cycling didn't bother this time. I am sorry to hear your husband is feeling bad and needs to go to emergency care.
My granddaughter 18 has been sick for several days. Tuesday she was vomiting all night and was so dizzy she could not walk. Her head hurt and she had vertigo. She said it started with her ears. It was so weird and they were trying to figure it out. Yesterday she was able to get up and move around a bit. Anyway my daughter called the doctor which is her best friends husband and he got her some medicine and gave instructions. He said he had 4 patients in two days with the same thing so it is probably a virus. She is hoping to be back to normal by Monday for school otherwise if she can go someone else will need to drive her. That Kelly Coffey move with supermans on the step hurts and I moveto the floor. I also don't like pull overs with the head on the step and feet on the floor holding the hips up. They do this on Hammer and Chisel and I just lie on the bench. It is too uncomfortable picking up a heavy dumbbell to do this.

Deb, nice work on the Kelly Coffey both workouts. She does do some different moves and I think not all of them are for everyone. I have put a couple of mats in my wish list at Amazon. My Nike yoga mat is pretty thin and is looking frayed. I got a black one from Beach Body with one of my workouts and I hate it when I am sweaty it slips and I was using it one day on my daughters tile doing abs and the pressure of my shoes rolled off part of the surface. I would like the mat to not be slippery and be a bit thicker.
