Traildoggie

Cathlete
I'm starting this saturday night to get a jump start on sunday.

I did Rev'd up rumble today. need to do shopping early tomorrow. hope everyone gets thru the time switch OK.

Good morning. Valerie, thanks for getting us started this week. Today I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga Morning Energy practice for 18 minutes and 44 calories burned. I also did Ellen Barrett’s Zen Yoga for 15 minutes and 46 calories burned.

Hello to everyone and have a wonderful day.

So Friday night I was taking recycling out to the garage. It's right next to the door and there's all of two steps. Somehow I tripped, smacked my hand on the door jam, landed on my right glute and in between managed to hyperextend my left big toe. I wrapped the foot so I could sleep and took an Excedrin PM. I did sleep well. Saturday morning I opted to skip cardio and did Boss Loops Glutes and Core. There was faint bruising at the bottom of the toe and a bit below it. Wrapped it again last night, mostly to keep it in place cause any bending was uncomfortable. This morning I did do 30 Minute Kickbox Express with a bit of modification to foot placement, and then did Upper Body Ball Shred. Which is a good workout. It's not as sore today, but it is more colorful!

Valerie good job with Rev'd up Rumble!

Carolyn great job with the yoga workouts!

Did the planned shopping this morning and later did a 40 min spin and some curls and push ups.
Cathy it’s not the dangerous things that get us. It’s the everyday things when not paying attention! Sounds like toe will be ok with protecting it from further abuse.
Didn’t sleep long enough and woke up way early. Hopefully better tonight.
Carolyn, yoga sounds good. Maybe tomorrow. I dont do it often like I used to. I miss the class I used to use but the location never picked up a new class and the previous owners moved too far away for me to use.

This morning I did Low Impact Sweat Workout One for 28 minutes and 175 calories burned. My average heart rate was 127 and maximum heart rate was 151.

Cathy, those missteps and falls can really cause us pain. I’m glad that you were not more seriously hurt. Nice job with Boss Loops Glutes and Core.

Valerie, nice job with the 40 minute spin, curls, and push ups. Did your WW app update today? I’m just eating and working out as usual to see how it looks with the new program. I am confused about a couple of things, but I will keep reading.

Hello to Judy and Diane Sue.

Carolyn it did not go smoothly. I deleted the app and reloaded it and started over after Everything got stuck. Twice. I added my breakfast and other things attached themselves ( occasional morning snacks when I ride) and would not delete or edit out. The assessment was pretty vague and it seems I have more points but fewer free foods.
I have not been rigid counting dinner points for a long time. I don’t like figuring out all the details. I use free foods and track things like salad dressing and my glass of Chardonnay. Bread if I have it. I get tired of picky calculations. I’ve been stable more than a year . I don’t eat junk food and portion control isn’t an Issue. Lunch breakfast and snacks are pretty standard for me. Found things that work and not changing much. I won’t stress over this until the fuss settles down as many people had crash issues this morning

Valerie, my app updated automatically on both my phone and iPad. I didn’t need to anything else for the technology and the app went directly to the new program and personal assessment. Your phone is much newer than mine so I’m surprised that it wasn’t already updated. I checked the version in my app yesterday and it was the same as the one in the App Store (10.0.0).

I checked the version too after I reloaded it. We have quite an array of phones desktops and laptops Seven altogether. With 3 apple and 4 windows. Mostly things work together. Dh has an old apple phone so maybe this pollutes the atmosphere ! Looks ok now. Tried early this morning and it got stuck at the simple assessment and wouldn’t proceed. Gave it time and finally deleted and re loaded. Then I got a bunch of errors so I deleted and redid the assessment. Changed some responses. Seems avocados have achieved new prominence. I bought 2 yesterday. Haven’t had any in months.

grocery shopping yesterday… DH eats whole wheat soda crackers with soup and they are GONE from store shelves fro months now. No clue why. I use WASA cracker.

No workout for me today. Didn't sleep well enough to do an early workout and the guy was coming to put the parts of the dryer. Since DH sometimes gets call or live video chats he has to take, I needed to be available. Happy to have it back in use! Toe is doing better though predictably it has gotten more colorful.

Valerie great job with the spinning, curls and push ups! DH eats soup crackers, too, and you're right about wheat being missing from the shelves. He only needs them every few months and last time I had to get white. I don't think he really cares which he has.

Carolyn great job with Low Impact Sweat #1!

Cathy can you think of a sub for soda crackers?? I dont like them myself but cant think of anything similar. . Whole wheat is slightly better. Dh eats them every day. Used to be little round ones called oyster crackers but haven't seen in decades. He is a creature of habit and will bitch and Moan about this.
Best of luck on dryer project.

ETA rode the trail today, 15 miles. 1 hr 15 min. cool, upper 40's but not raining.

Hi Everyone,
I took a break from being online and am behind on posting. I'll post again later after I workout and when I get caught up on reading all the posts.

Today I did P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body and the Extended Stretch. My time was 48 minutes with 208 calories burned. Average heart rate was 114 and maximum heart rate was 145.

Valerie, nice work out the trail ride today. I rarely eat crackers these days. A few months back I bought a box of Triscuit Fire Roasted tomato crackers, something I would eat with salads occasionally. They tasted awful to me! I’m not sure if they have changed or my taste buds have changed, but I felt like I was eating straw! I threw the entire box in the trash.

Cathy, that’s great that your dryer is repaired. It’s hard to do without one.

Judy, taking an online break is a good idea.

Hello to Diane Sue. I hope that you are feeling better.

Carolyn I noticed on some triscuit crackers that I could "taste" them before I even put it in my mouth. very weird sensation. I don't eat many crackers just Wasa with soup. something I can eat too much of without realizing if they're tasty. cheez-its and those flattened pretzels are particularly troublesome.

too wet here too much of the year to do without a dryer. I don't even own a clothes pin. did costco shopping this morning and a little yard work. got the background work done for a few prescription renewals. will do a weight workout later.

diane sue, let us know you are doing Ok.
Judy... you are wise to do that. we all should do that occasionally! I find it hard to shut off the connection.

ETA later today I did X train chest back and shoulders, and the core workout.

This morning I did Pyramid Power Walk from Jessica Smith’s 30 Day Plan. That was 30 minutes and 201 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 155.

Valerie, great job with XTrain Chest, Back, and Shoulders plus core. I am finding that I like the changes to the WW program. It is truly personalized based on my food preferences. I went to an in person meeting today to learn more about it and I did get a little more clarity.

Diane Sue, I hope that you are doing okay.

Waving hello to Cathy.

Yesterday I did 80 minutes of Peloton rides, a harder 45 minute ride then 35 minutes of light recovery & cool down rides. This morning I did the warm up from 4 DS Kickbox, then Muscle Meltdowns Triceps and Back and I finished with RWH Bonus Abs 1.

Carolyn- Nice job with Pyramid Power Walk and P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body.

Cathy-I'm sorry about your fall. I'm glad your toe is better.

Valerie-Great job with X train chest, back & shoulders and the core workout. Yes, I agree, it is hard to shut off the connection but it's nice to take short breaks from being online.

Diane Sue- I hope you are doing well.

we mountain biked this morning as planned. a break from rain! nice out, with no rain so far. about 46 degrees which is fine for mt biking. I dress for the temp.
Carolyn I'm working my way thru the new program. interesting how drinking water and eating vegies gives you extra points. I was out of the habit of tracking most vegies because they were zero, and got tired of typing in "1/2 a red pepper, onion, corn ". it looks like just clicking on the button gives you "credit" for vegies without all the typing. I'm ending up with extra points. I'm working on losing a couple more pounds to get below goal. when I do that, I'll go to a meeting and get weighed so I can stop paying monthly. I was goal weight plus 0.8 last week at doctors office in jeans but I want to be sure I'm at goal or below. no meeting is remotely convenient so I want to be sure it's worth the trip. fitness points have adjusted downward IMO.

Judy I used to think when we were in MT, it would be time away from internet but no, no different. there is no newspaper or local news so we find we use the internet just as much there. need to keep on top of weather etc. I justify it by saying we don't fluff off on facebook or anything mindless , but use it as our newspaper, weather, and general information. I love to do crossword puzzles, sudoku, spelling bee, and that's how I get it, plus the WW program. we shop at amazon for things we need, put things in a wait list when we realize we need something and order when we get back here.

Valerie, you are correct about the activity points being adjusted to make them more accurate. You are also correct about the button to add zero point vegetables. Many people like you do not want to track the zero points foods so now you do either option, but not both. Both things were discussed in the online meeting and in person meeting in response to questions. Achieving lifetime and not having to pay is worth a drive.

carolyn the WW fitness points are a bit like calorie burn, subjective. some devices are crazy inaccurate. intense for one person might not be for another. spinning is one that's been underrated and should have levels like low, medium, high, more like road biking or mountain biking. there is an intensity range on most activities but I understand not wanting to make it too nit picky. I mostly want my time entered.

its interesting because I'm ending up with extra points every day now ( from water and vegies) but this is how I've been eating and I'm not losing, or if I am, too slow to measure. I'm not surprised.

Yesterday I did Metabolic Core which is definitely a heck of a core workout. This morning I experimented with doing the step blasts from Tabatacize. I've never really done much with that workout other than the Tabata 1 premix. My toe continues to acquire more colors, but as of yesterday bending it wasn't an issue and it just doesn't like weight put directly on it from a certain angle. Which seems weird if I can bend it. Went to my parents this afternoon. Visits are good, but dang the traffic on I-94 is awful. While I was there, my sister messaged me pics of her damaged car and the big buck she hit. Deer didn't survive. Hopefully she can get it repaired quickly. They are planning to winterize and head back to FL right after Thanksgiving.

Valerie sorry can't help you with the sub for soda crackers. Great that you've gotten in some good rides and the Xtrain workouts!

Judy great job with the Peloton ride and that's an excellent combo workout you put together! I am really bad about taking internet breaks as in it pretty much never happens. I have my fingers in lots of pies when it comes to that!

Carolyn great job with P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body and the Extended Stretch and Pyramid Power Walk!

internet access is vital to function in this world. we have a viable newspaper here in WA but not every community does. we've watched montana newspapers shrink down to nothing. what came first, lack of readers or lack of published material?
I watch my idiot sister flail, unable to get basic information. she denies her problems are because she doesn't even TRY. her daughter told her the same thing. latest fuss is she can't find anyone to install windows. I suggested the store she bought them, a local handyman, ask her neighbors, do it herself, talk to her caseworker about assistance. none of that "works", so she hung up on me. as if I can conjure up something else. she can't maintain her house. if she had internet service she could look up a bus schedule, order groceries, find services. not signing up to do all that every day. I will help with specific things but I can't fix this.

forgot about perfect Pump and haven't done it in a while. that was a good short workout.

cathy we have to be especially alert for deer in MT. they come down from higher elevations, more of an issue in winter. elk too that would make a big dent! too bad for your sister. shes lucky she wasnt injured and car wasnt a total.
