Happy Friday All and.....

Happy Birthday Lynda! Hope fun with your friends and have a great day :)

Not much going on here, work, then home. Vet appointment at 8:00 tomorrow for both dogs, for shots etc.

Take care,

Hi Ladies,

Happy Birthday Lynda!! I wrote a post yesterday but I guess I did not press submit :(
I have been spinning since I got back from NYC, but plan to start adding weights next week.

Judy, the kitties are adorable. The will help you and your DH heal.

Valerie, hope that you are having a good vacation.

Lori, I want to get an ab tower where you can also do pull ups and dips. I'm going to ask Santa DH for this ;)

Deb. hope that you get some rest this weekend.

Josie

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Flex Train (56:46). Love this workout! Just enough of everything to feel totally muscled up.

Beautiful weather today, which is nice for Nov. 15, often drizzly and cold in my memory of birthdays. Friends are doing a cheese and winetasting first (they bought this at an auction, so it should be interesting), and then dinner at Mezze's with the new chef.

The auction calves were looking downright perky when I left today. DH is trying to teach them the electric fence. This is also rutting season, and a big buck went crashing through some of the fencing this morning. My poor husband!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! Have a splendiferous weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Wednesday I did Muscle Max for an hour then added part of the 100 Rep Hip Thrust Challenge from Xtrain. I'd never done hip thrusts so I just wanted to practice. It seems like a very effective exercise. I will be doing those more often. Yesterday I did 45 minute Spinerval and today is a rest day.

Deb-I really am starting to enjoy the core workouts now. I'm going to try to build up to a 1 hour session by January.

Happy Birthday Lynda! I hope you are having a great day!

Lori-I am seriously thinking about starting STS on December 1. I'd love to find a squat rack like you did! I'm going to start looking on Craig's list again.

Josie-having the kittens here does help and as they get older I think it will help even more. Echo is already bonding with us. She loves people and does not like to be alone much. Chino is still a baby, just wants to play all the time. They get along very well and are so cute to watch.

Hi to Valerie,

Have a great weekend!

Judy

Good evening ladies,

This morning I did T25 speed 3.0. Love this workout. Was my intent to do hardstrikes tonight but came home and my son was here with a couple of his friends doing a school project in my workout area. There is plenty of open space so not surprise this is the area they picked. Would have been really awkward if mom came down in her workout gear!!! So needless to say no workout.

Judy...This was the first time I have bought anything on craigs list and I think I did really well. This week I also bought a black step like I already have with four risers for $25 bucks. Oh and she gave me a Kathy Smith Step dvd that I just remembered. Must be still in my car. I bought the step because I wanted more risers and ok with having another step platform. I have been looking for a month for a squat rack at a cheap price. Be persistent and something will show up.

Josie...great job on the spining! You'll be back at Insanity in no time. The rack I bought looks like I can do pulls ups like cathe does in STS. I would like to try doing them this way. One of the modified positions though.

Deb...last night was the first night this week that I actually slept well. Hoping tonight will be the same. I usually always sleep well on a Friday night.

Happy Birthday Lynda!!!!!

Hi to Valerie!

things still chaotic. my sister was supposed to be discharged today but wasn't. hospital for 2 weeks?? what kind of bill? she has zero money. still no talk with her doctor.

DH and I did a short camping trip with 3 hours mt biking one day and 5 hrs the next day. it was hard... too hard to bike? you end up walking and pushing the bike so not exactly easier but at least you don't crash and break body parts. drive home, clean up, laundry, shopping and BIL and SIL are now here for 2 days. I am so tired, retirement is wearing me out.... big time. I did get in my yoga class too.... tues but not thurs as we were gone.

Lynda, must be your B-day..... DH's was the 13th so that was mixed in there too!. happy birthday!. DH got the new cathe spin disk ( thanks lori) and a couple other small things for his B-day. no biggies this year. some new bike gloves. a calendar.

Good morning,

Off to the vet this morning with both dogs to have some shots and Keegan's blood work done. It's tough as he has to have fasted 12 hours, ( just like we do sometimes) and for them not to be fed is a big deal. "What is going on?? where's our food and treats??"...We aren't going to eat either before we take them because they get a little bit of toast crust usually and they would be going crazy if we didn't give it to them. Dogs are really creatures of habit.

Garance, glad the calves are doing better, hope you had a nice BD dinner!

Josie, will you be back to T25?

Judy, now your Echo has blasted a "truth" that one of my friends who has had many, many cats says, that female cats are not as warm with people as the males, she has had females that would never come up and sit on her lap etc, very stand offish...Echo sure sounds different! Was Misty like that too?

Lori, glad you slept better, I would have too last night if we didn't have the 3:30 wake up call with Keegan. I am wondering if he has a bladder infection, he has been drinking a lot of water, and of course having to go out more often. I am taking a sample in this morning to have it checked. Unfortunately, it has to be the "first one" and that was at 3;30, so I put in in the frig until we have to go. I hope it doesn't change the make up of it etc.

Valerie, so sorry about your sister. 2 weeks in the hospital is unheard of these days. I am surprised they didn't find a way to get her out...at least they must have known how serious it was. As for the bill, wouldn't Medicaid cover it?

Have a great weekend!

Good morning ladies!

Lazy morning today. Just had to post Deb because as I type this I have one of our 2 female cats sitting in my lap at this very moment. My two pretty ladies are total love bugs. ;)

Workout and errands today. Nothing much going on.

Have a great weekend!

Just a quick post this morning. Getting ready to go to FIL's to get his house cleaned up. SIL and BIL will be there next weekend for an early Thanksgiving.

Valerie- I hope your sister is better soon and that medicaid covers her medical bills.

Deb-Good luck at the vet, hope all the tests turn out good. How old is Keegan? It sounds like he could have a bladder infection.

I've also heard that female cats aren't as friendly. Misty was very affectionate, but not with strangers. She would hide under the bed if we had company. She used to follow me around everywhere :( Echo is very much like Misty. The night that we lost Tiger, Echo got in my lap and just sat there with me. She's like a therapy cat.

Lori-do you have any photos of your cats? I'd love to see them!

Hi to Lynda and Josie

Judy

Hi ladies!

This morning I did flex train but added in LL&A chair work and firewalkers. Ended up being a great workout. Chester and I walked 3.25 miles after. Was beautiful here today in NE. Really enjoyed the walk.

Valerie...poor thing being in the hospital for that long. And then still you not being able to talk to the doctor? What happens when someone has no money and no health insurance? Good to know that they do not refuse a person under these circumstances.

Lynda...just read about the buck crashing through the fence. You are right...your husband needs a break already!

Deb...i would be the same way not eating in front of the dogs if they were fasting! We humans are silly!!!

Judy Below are our two cats. zelda (13yrs) on the left and TimTim (8yrs and yes she is a female...my son was young when he named her!)

Hi Ladies,

Went spinning this morning with my friend Claudia. This is our Saturday morning routine and then we go and get some coffee and catch up :)

I came home and prepared my bike for my first ride on the road bike. It will be a 35 mile ride, so wish me luck.

Lori, your kitties are beautiful!

Deb, hope your babies are ok after the vets visit. Regarding T25, I'm going to wait a while until my foot is fully healed. I may start back in January in the meantime I will be doing a body pump class at the gym. The workout works the whole body and its low impact.

Garance, hope that you had a wonderful birthday celebration.

Hi to Valerie!
