Cathlete
good morning. we drove back to WA yesterday. hard to leave this time. weather has been great and we were able to avoid most of the hunting nonsense by keeping to the park. drive was just under 11 hours. cloudy and then sunny the whole distance. cloudy is actually easier than full sun. the glare gets very tough driving west into the sun for hours. getting close to seattle the driving gets just crazy. insane speeding and cutting in and out recklessly. we are not slow drivers but when you're going 70 ish and someone passes like you're standing still, something is wrong. we blame it on people who moved from california. no way to tell! they could be local people who have bad, aggressive tendencies.

Today is my rest day. Valerie, I’m glad that you had a good drive yesterday. It sounds like you had a great vacation.

Hello to Judy, Diane Sue, and Cathy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

I'm this fun rotating, sleep well, don't sleep well routine and it's getting old. Been awake since 3! Was determined to do a leg workout today. Ended up doing ICE To the Mat: Legs and Glutes. A lot of it with my eyes closed and after I finished, I put everything away, set my timer for 30 minutes and just laid their on my mat and napped! :D And now I'm more awake than I've been all day. Going to do a few things, just got done with my family call, and then dim the lights and chill and hope like heck I can sleep tonight.

Valerie glad you made it back. When I went to NC, I found that most everywhere I went the speeding was crazy, and I generally drive a bit over the speed limit, though I generally go barely over out of state. In State, except in the city, I'll go 5-10 over except for when it's 75 because that's about where my comfort zone ends. At 5-10 over, I get passed WAY more than I pass other people.

Hi to everyone else. Hoping the announcement is soon about the new workouts. Was supposed to be after the virtual road trip, which is over, and tomorrow is a newsletter day.

This morning I did Rev’d Up Rumble for 41 minutes and 293 calories burned. My average heart rate was 131 and maximum heart rate was 152.

Cathy, To the Mat Legs and Glutes was a good choice when you were feeling so tired. Napping on the mat is funny, but understandable. Someone on another thread who attended the road trip mentioned Cathe’s new series. Apparently it will be 12 strength workouts with mobility and recovery workouts. I am looking forward to hearing more about it.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Fell asleep at 9:30 woke up at...3:00. LOL Actually finished my cardio workout by 5:15. I did Quick Fix Cardio which I hadn't done before. Nice and varied and uses weights and the high step platform. Then after breakfast I did Upper Body Shred. That one moves fast, but when I set up my November rotation, I failed to note that I just did upper body Saturday and I had to lighten up a fair bit on the weights.

Carolyn great job with Rev'd Up Rumble! I'll have to go look for those threads. Sounds like a mini STS series and I'd love another mobility workout.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did a Peloton ride and today I did 40 minutes of Yin Yoga.

Carolyn-Great job with Rev'd Up Rumble. I'm really looking forward to hearing more about Cathe's new series too.

Cathy-Nice job with Quick Fix Cardio and Upper Body Shred. It's so rough when you can't sleep well. I started having that issue when I went through menopause and it's still something I struggle with off and on.

Hi to Valerie and Diane Sue

Today I did Fit Split Mixed Impact Cardio/Pull Day. Cardio was 23 minutes and 163 calories burned. My average heart rate was 130 and maximum heart rate was 153. I kept the cardio moves low impact. The strength portion was 36 minutes with 140 calories burned. Average heart rate was 110 and maximum heart rate was 143.

Cathy, great job with Quick Fix Cardio and Upper Body Shred. Working out that early brings back memories of how I did my workouts when I was still working. At least you got more sleep.

Judy, great job with the Peloton ride and Yin Yoga.

Hello to Valerie and Diane Sue.

Today I did CDorner Low Impact all standing to the beat stopping when she picked up dumbbells and forwarded to the standing ab move and stretch, 33 minutes, 217 calories, heart rate 151/180,3,494 steps. I then did her mobility hiit from today modifying and I just did something else when she did the scorpion, 33 minutes, 53 calories, heart rate79/102. Total time 66 minutes, 270 calories. I was in so much pain last night and woke today with terribly tight painful traps and shoulder blades. It took me quite awhile to get loosened up. I soaked in epsom salts after the workout. Still the arm and shoulder are painful and the thing is, the left is a little sore in the front of the should as well. They have not called to set up an mri yet. I kept checking my phone to see if I missed a call or it had been blocked by call protect, but no missed calls other than the people calling me back to set up an appointment. Yesterday's trip to the doctor really set off the pain. I got through the visit fairly quickly and they did blood work as well.

My upper body was pretty sore today so I ended up just stretching.

Judy great job with the Peloton ride and yoga!

Carolyn great job with the Fit Split Mixed Impact Cardio/Pull Day! Back a LONG time ago, mid-to late 80's, I would get up and drive a half hour before work to do a 6:10 cardio class and then I'd use the weight room. Seems so long ago now. Up until I my second I worked out early. Nick was much kinder to my schedule than Derek was! Nick slept in, Nick could tolerate playing by himself if need be, Derek was off and running from the time he could crawl and wanted to be up when I was. He was three before I got back to regular workouts.

Diane Sue it's great that you were able to do the CDorner Low Impact workout. Sounds really hard for you right now to do things around so much pain.

Hi to Valerie!

This morning I did RWH Lift it Hiit it Legs with Bonus Abs 1. Tonight I did 1 hour of Peloton rides.

Diane Sue-I'm so sorry about all the pain you are in. I hope you can find a solution soon. Great job getting the CDorner workout in.

Cathy-good job with the stretching.

Carolyn-Nice job with Fit Split Mixed Impact Cardio/Pull Day. That's a series that I need to revisit. I really haven't done much with it at all so it would be like a new one for me.

Hi to Valerie

I've been busy and no workouts. too tired sunday after the long drive. just can't sleep after that. monday and tuesday I had grocery shopping and multiple medical appts plus cooking. all looking Ok so far. I suppose I could have crammed some kind of workout in but I didn':rolleyes:t. today is dry this morning so we are going to mt bike since it looks wet the rest of the week. cant be sure it will be worth it as it was raining hard at 5 am so things will be wet. trails are closed. we ride roads only until spring, gravel roads that is. it can still be pretty messy. (true in MT too) when trails get muddy riding creates huge ruts that ruin the trails.

Today I did JS Power Pyramid Walk which was 30 minutes and 207 calories burned. My average heart rate was 130 and maximum heart rate was 152.

Diane Sue, great job with CDorner Low Impact and Mobility HiiT. It’s good that you are able to modify the upper body moves so that you can keep working out. I hope that your MRI is scheduled soon to help find out what’s going on.

Cathy, nice job with stretching.

Judy, great job with RWH Lift It HiiT it Legs and Bonus Abs. I haven’t done much with Fit Split either. It’s in Cathe’s November rotation which is the only reason that I pulled it out. I had forgotten that I really like the Push and Pull workouts but the cardio segments are not my favorites.

Valerie, I’m glad that you posted this morning. I was starting to worry about you. Taking rest and recovery time is always a good idea.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

got in a decent mt bike ride this morning with only one brief rain shower. 90 min. not as puddled as it could have been. warmer than expected, probably upper 50's.
Carolyn do you know anything about the new WW program starting soon? Ive heard bits and pieces. that the color designations are going away, and the fiton exercise program is too.

Valerie, I don’t know anything about upcoming changes to WW. All that I have seen is the quick heading that comes up on the app when I open it that references changes. Since I am not attending in person meetings I don’t get the teaser tidbits. I guess we will see—is it tomorrow?

I'm not sure when it is other than within the first 2 weeks of Nov. I did hear its been rolled out in other parts of the world. Ive been around for other program changes and things were always pretty rough for a while with nothing working right. I'm tracking some food and all my exercise so even if its not 100% I'll be ok.

Yesterday I did My Finished Combo workout along with a shorter version of the CoreMax with the ball, that I put together and extended Lying stretch from SB. Shopped today.

Judy great job with RWH Lift it Hiit it Legs with Bonus Abs 1!

Carolyn great job with JS Power Pyramid Walk!

Valerie great that you were able to get in a mountain bike ride! We are supposed to bop back up to 50 for a bit. Yesterday morning it was 26! BRR

This morning I did Fit Split Shred Cardio/Push Day. I did half of Shred cardio using low impact modifications. That was 13 minutes, 107 calories burned, average heart rate 107 and maximum heart rate 136. Push Day was 32 minutes with 110 calories burned. Average heart rate was 108 and maximum heart rate was 134.

Valerie I think the WW program update is next week. Apparently we might need to update our apps then.

Have a great day everyone. It’s rainy and cold here, but still a good day.

Carolyn just FYI I believe the new program starts monday the 8th. will pass judgement after a week or two. I am pretty solidly following the current program and stable tho I wouldn't mind losing another 5 lbs. ha ha even 10 lbs , but I dont think I could maintain it.

we are in a period of the year everyone refers to as 'the big dark". dark dark dark. and rain rain rain. gert up in the dark, go to sleep in the dark and seems like not a lot of time in between. not usually hard rain but a lot of gray skies and light rain. everyone ( opinions) would like to move to DST all year round but it takes action on a federal level to make it happen. it would be very messy if all states didn't switch at the same time. they passed similar bills but need federal action to finish the deal. this year we are planning on an AZ trip in beginning of Dec. flying not driving. our anniversary present to ourselves.

This morning I did part of To the Mat Legs and Glutes. I did the ball and bands segment for 32 minutes and 95 calories burned. My average heart rate was 103 and maximum heart rate was 139. Then I did WS3 One Mile of Motivation for 15 minutes and 106 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 145.

Valerie, I’m not looking forward to the time change this weekend. I usually feel sluggish the first day and it gets dark much too early. Valerie, your Arizona trip sounds like a wonderful idea.

Hello to Cathy, Judy, and Diane Sue.

I did x train bi's and tri's and the ab workout last night. plus some extra push ups.

since retiring the time change is a minor pain. my biggest issue is changing the clock in the subaru. an awful job. I gave up. DH does it reluctantly. when we drive into another time zone for a vacation we don't change it. my old car is easy, our truck is easy. subaru is impossible. I gave up on the electronic touch panel. some electronics defeat me. twice every year, picking a time and staying with it comes up with almost all western states wanting to go to permanent DST. I believe AZ is on permanent standard time so they will still be an outlier. not sure about all the others. would be nice to reach consensus but probably unreachable. maybe DST versus standard time can be the next red state/blue state issue.
