Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 1/2/17

It is cold today. When I got up it was 3 degrees. The sun is out today so hopefully at least the roads melt off halfway decent. Today I did Slide and Glide Premix express cardio and stretch, 32 minutes, 190 calories. I did not do the plank jacks and burpees. Instead I just did more standing movements. I followed this with Yoga Tune Up strong knees Knee Hab segment, 20 minutes, 48 calories. Total time was 52 minutes, 238 calories.

Carolyn, I liked the looks of bonus abs. Then I am probably the odd person that likes to work abs. Particularly if they are difficult. It will be fun trying it when I can. Then again I may be on the side of weak in the upper body strength so it may be difficult. I haven't looked at the interaction on the forums. I have always found Cathe's administrators to be helpful and courteous in the past.
 
Good evening ladies!

This morning was Live Giant Sets with Light Weights. A great workout when you only have access to 8lb weights! Would loved to have done S&S Giant sets or PHA but these will need to wait. I do not mind as I prefer my sons company any day. I followed up with my jumpsport interval workout then a 10 minute powerjump. 66 minutes, 476 calories.

Diane Sue...I love supported barre moves especially on the jumpsport. I can see being concerned if you felt you were about to fall over. The Fit Tower works great for me and I would have been fine with just that but now that my son is visiting more I needed to buy the bar. It came in on Friday but I had it shipped to my office then left without bringing it home. Walked right by it too and never thought to grab. :( Thanks for mentioning the clip on the Bounce workout. Did not realize she posted one. I think am going to love it.

Deb...great job on Giant Sets. That one looks really great. The ab workout was hard for me. As you know I avoid abs when I can! I did fine but needed to modify both plank moves. The side one I did on my elbows and the last one I just did a straight plank on my elbow. Planks are hard on my shoulders. All and all with my modifications I did like it. I will do again....some day. :rolleyes: GiGi continues to do really great.

Valerie and Carolyn...I started weight watchers on line yesterday with my girlfriend. So far I am liking it. I need to lose 6lbs that have crept back up. I was thinking about 21 day fix which I really liked but my friend asked me to do this with her. I know you both use WW so I figured sure why not. I still do not quite get the fit points though. Need to do more reading here. I like it syncs with my Apple Health. Made my usual Satuday night skinny girl margarita and was pleasantly surprised it is only 3 points!

Carolyn...nice job matching Cathe's weights! Guess I missed all the excitement on the premix issue. Will need to see what is going on.

Lorie, time with your son is top priority. I know you enjoy it and the other workouts can wait. That is how I feel when I have family overnight. I looked over the way my bar hooks into my rebounder and would not think that it should break but it does lean when I put my full weight on it. IT has the little holes in it where it slides in and locks. I was hoping it had adjustable height that might help but it does not. The bar actually comes apart into 4 pieces if I took it apart.
 
We made it all the way to. Bozeman. . 11 hours driving. Roads were mostly clear and dry but tomorrow will likely be much worse. Glad we bit the bullet and kept going. Obviously no workout today!! Our rental is ok not great. But n Nothing that bad. Counter height is too high water doesn't get hot enough. Just minor stuff really
Had an issue with gettting. A low tire pressure warning. But turns out any we had some micro spikes . metal under divers seat can interfere and cause the problem.
