Pentagenarians & Beyond: May 11, 2025

Today I did 30 minutes of light upper body work and 20 minutes of lower body foam rolling.

Shannon-Great job with Super Cuts and Core 2. That is a good workout.

Carolyn-Great job with STS 2.0 Chair Yoga. I’m sorry about the unexpected events. It’s hard to do everything that you need to do when you have so much going on.

Valerie-I’m sorry about your husband’s knee. I hope the brace helps. Great job with the road ride.

I wanted to get some movement in today so did CDorner Low Impact Aerobics and stretch, 35 minutes, 207 calories, heart rate 125/158, 3,345 steps. I changed some of the stretching because she was doing side bends and forward flexion. I added a few bird dogs at the end and other stretches for my legs. I had a nice time with my ladies group Tuesday, and I just rested yesterday since my husband was off. I am trying to be careful what I do for workouts.

Valerie, I do have the SalonPas lidocaine pads. I have used them on my ribs, but since I can't reach my mid back and my husband is gone at night I use sponge tipped applicator for that and put on Aspercreme lidocaine. My doctor didn't know that Aspercreme made a lidocaine cream. It helps a little, but when I try to sleep, it is hard to find a way to be comfortable. It hurts.
I am glad you didn't have a collision with the deer. I bet your heart was thumping big time.

Carolyn, nice job on STS Chair Yoga. It is difficult working around multiple things and getting normal activities done. I hope things are not too difficult for you.
