when our house was built we were in a tearing hurry to get out of the house we were living in. it was our fault we did not see the kitchen problems. the builder messed up too. he planned a kitchen island and one of those awful grill/cooktops right in the center of it. I said "no" as soon as i saw it but in shuffling around the major appliances i lost a big section of cabinets. I didn't realize most others would not be reachable but we had to put a cooktop somewhere. ive made it work but i can barely reach the second shelf (sympathy cathy) and no way on the 3rd. it is the only cabinet for plates and bowls. i have other storage but it doesn't work for the dishes we use daily. there is no reasonable way to improve it. i never use the third shelf except for odd pieces i seldom use. i need the step stool to get there. luckily there were not a lot of things up there! nothing there now. I'm putting those things in the cabinet above the cooktop but i cant see up there either.
i always think people keep DL as picture ID even if they don't drive anymore. my mother learned to drive very late in life. my father had a major heart attack and she had no choice. she was an terrible awful driver. she got pulled over for doing something stupid and quit driving that day. it was better for everyone. there was no reason for her not learning sooner but she refused.
i haven't had to physically go to a DMV office in ages. its been mostly online for a long time. i may have to go in person for my next renewal in about 2 years. there's an office nearby. went there for some reason i don't remember. it was very efficient. no complaints.
we rode the trail again for 1 hr 15 minutes and 15 miles.
