I did Live Total Body Band Blast today. This would make a great travel workout. Alternates low impact cardio with a band exercise.
Valerie I have the same issue with upper shelves in cupboards, but I can only put things right at the front of the second shelf. If I was designing a house for myself, I'd want the counters an inch or 2 lower and I'd bring all the cupboards down a bit, too. Of course, that's not logistically possible since appliances would all be too high, but I can dream.
Carolyn I wish they had those rules here for renewals, but there are no restrictions for age, and you just have to renew every four years and after the first four you can just do it online or by mail. Years ago when my Grandpa was late 80's, he did hit a renewal where he needed an eye test and failed it in person, but his eye doctor who was also older, told him that they were just out to get old people and wrote him an okay, and they renewed. My uncle who was a mechanic, "fixed" his car so it wouldn't run and gave him a high price to fix it, so he just stopped driving and grandma drove after that. My Mom can't see well enough to read a large print book, but she still has a drivers license because she hasn't had to go in, where they would clearly see that she's not physically capable of driving. Thankfully, she can't even get out of the house by herself, or into the car, so she can' just take off.
Judy that mat looks like a great idea if you have hard floors.
Diane Sue, I avoid the big SOS (our DMV equivalent) places and go to the small town about 1/2 an hour south. No wait. The ones in Lansing are hard to get into, though better now that more stuff is on line and they do appointments. It used to be in person could be waits of 1 1/2-2 hours plus.
