Cathlete
good morning.
I did 30 on the elliptical, a series of sit ups, bicycle maneuvers, push ups, dips, and curls to total 50 minutes yesterday. wanted to road ride this morning but its just too cold. barely 38 and for a road ride that is harsh.

good morning carolyn.. I didn't see your thread when I started this one. I am not greedy about thread starting! whoever gets here first on sunday morning.....
I'm doing a serious garden day today. trying to clear a huge patch of invasive yellow archangel (plant). a nasty spreading nightmare. I think I planted it long ago before I knew better. I have a good population of pachysandra that is trying to take over the ground, so Im trying to help it along. it's a shady spot and sloped so I need low growing dense plants to cover the area.

I did High/Low Hiit with Step today. This was a really good workout though there was a lot of jumping on and off the step. At the beginning she said the reason they started late was because people left when they found out if was step and they had to reorganize the room. But, if it was explained to them they wouldn't have left because it was step. There were no combos it was all pure hiit moves. Then even though it wasn't included in the title there's a 10 minute core segment at the end.

Beautiful day here today and we started taking out the fence the tree landed on. Got ride of the short section of fence and the post along the ground, so the dog we had couldn't dig under, but the main posts are deep. We don't know how deep or if there's cement. It was put in 20 years ago, the same week Derek was born, so we really weren't paying attention to how they put it together. Also took off the clothesline from the post. I think that is cemented in, but I can ask my Dad about that, as they put it in when they lived here. If it's nice again tomorrow, I'll start raking and picking up the sticks from all the smashed pieces that ended up on the ground. Also need to get up on the shed roof and remove the pieces from that.

Valerie that sounds like a great 50 minute workout you put together!

Hi to all!

Today I did a 45 minute Peloton class. We had beautiful weather today.

Carolyn-I hope you had a good rest day.

Valerie-Great job with the elliptical and workout. I hope your gardening went well today.

Cathy-Great job with High/Low Hiit w/Step. That sounds like a good one. It was so nice to have warmer temps and sunshine today.

This morning I did Athletic Training. That was 56 minutes and 320 calories burned. Average heart rate was 125 and maximum heart rate was 161.

Valerie, we were posting at the same time yesterday. When I didn’t see a new thread I thought that you might be out early for your outdoor activity. I am always grateful that you start the thread each week.

Cathy, nice job with high low HiT. That’s interesting that people left Cathe’s class after they saw that it easy step.

Great job with the 45 minute Peloton ride. We have beautiful weather too. I love this time of year. I think of it as a time of renewal.

Hello to Diane Sue.

I did My Finished Combos and a short stability ball core workout I put together using Core Max segments. Lost my focus towards the end of the cardio and that's really not a workout to lose focus on! LOL Another beautiful day here. I went out and picked up and raked some of the pieces of wood/bark from the tree that are all over the yard. Still a ton to go. It had been dead for years and the woodpeckers had a field day with it, so when it fell the bark just all broke off it pieces. I got everything off the front of the shed roof, but I need to do the backside when DH can be out there as I'll need to climb up on the roof.

Judy great job with the Peloton ride!

Carolyn nice job with Athletic Training! That's one I haven't done in quite awhile. What was weird about people leaving was they didn't seem to even stay to find out what kind of step workout it was. And it sure wasn't easy, so maybe she told them it was Hiit, but she just said they left when it was announced it was step. They had to delay filming to rearrange the room and fill in gaps. I've seen people leave during regular step because they were too frustrated to keep trying.

This morning I did CDorner Fast Basic Step that she did at noon, 47 minutes, heart rate 120/147, 216 calories, 3,622 steps. This was all doable for me except rotating my arm in circles front to back. I just lifted them overhead from front or rolled shoulders a bit and moved arms. I then did CDorner Full body mobility and stretch from a few days ago. I modified during down dog and what is usually called thread the needle. The PT said he could see why that would be uncomfortable. He asked what moves I had problems with. During some of it when modifying, I just did some child pose, which is what Chris mentions, and also some V sits holding the position. she did not spend a long time doing down dog on this one. This was 29 minutes, heart rate 85/104, 60 calories. Total time was 1 hour 17 minutes, 276 calories, 3,678 steps.

This morning I did P30 Low Impact HiiT and the Extended Stretch. That was 37 minutes and 247 calories burned. My average heart rate was 232 and maximum heart rate was 166.

Cathy, great job with your Finished Step Combos and stability ball Core.

Valerie, nice job with the elliptical and XTrain Abs.

Diane Sue, great job with CDORNER Fast Basic Step and Full Body Mobility.

Hello to Judy. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Cathy, all I need to hear is the word "step" and I'd be heading for the door. I like the step for some workouts I admit, for extremely simple moves. I use it for push ups especially tricep ones. I wish I could do step but I just cannot.

carolyn I got notice today that EW magazine is not publishing anymore. sad. I will miss it. it was my last magazine. they offer better homes and gardens as a replacement. no. not interested. we are down to almost nothing coming thru the post office except as one leg of package shipping/delivery.

did a road ride today 1 hr 20 min. it felt hard tho it was warm, 63 degrees.

Yesterday I did Muscle Meltdown Triceps after work and today I did Boss Bands Total Body.

Carolyn-Great job with P30 Low Impact HiiT and the Extended Stretch.

Cathy-Great job with High/Low Hiit with Step and your Finished Step Combos.

Valerie-Great job with the elliptical and Xtrain abs. I'm with you on the step workouts.

Diane Sue-Great job with the CDorner workouts.

Good morning. Today I did JS Steady, Ready, Go for 31 minutes and 206 calories burned. Average heart rate was 128 and maximum heart rate was 165.

Valerie, nice job with the road ride. I’m sure that the pleasant weather was a nice bonus. It’s sad that print media has all but disappeared. I still get Bon Appetit, but the magazine is only half of what it used to be. They have a lot of digital content that is good and makes up for the skimpy print edition.

Judy, great job with Muscle Meltdown Triceps and Boss Bands Total Body.

Hello to Cathy and Diane Sue.

Ever had those days when you were sure you came and posted, but you didn't. LOL That was me yesterday. I did Mobility. Our nice weather gave way to dreary rainy yuck. Now we are having thunder and pouring rain. Which we really don't need. Our back yard still had water standing from last week and now we have pooling in places up near the house and the "lake" back in the fields is way bigger than it was this morning. I did Cardio Core Blast today. Really not sure what possessed me as I'd done it within the last few weeks and it's darn hard. LOL Uses ball, loop, and disks. Already made my reservations for when I move Derek back in in August. Since he didn't seem to care, were going up Thursday because Thursday is $90 cheaper a night than Friday! A lot of places are already full, and they know they can charge premium rates for that weekend. I learned after Nick's first year to make reservations early for end up semesters because of graduations and move in.

Valerie the step was all hiit moves nothing even remotely dancy, but a lot of jumping. Glad you were able to ride today! 63 would be a good temp for that, at least for me. Not too hot or cold.

Diane Sue fantastic that you were able to do the step and mobility workouts! Sounds like you have a really great PT that works well with you.

Judy great job with the tricep and Boss Bands workouts!

Carolyn nice job with Low Impact Hiit and Ready Set Go!

Today I did Boss Bands Glutes & Core. I'm doing an Active Rest week, or at least 4-5 days. I haven't done one in a while and with working the next 3 days, this seems like a good time.

Carolyn-Great job with JS Ready, Steady, Go.

Cathy- Great job with Cardio Core Blast. That is a challenging workout!

Hi to Valerie & Diane Sue

No workout today. I did PT this morning along with groceries and lawn people out. I am packing things as we are going out of town Friday for our 49th anniversary. We got reservations for a Bed and Breakfast no children place. It is out in the country with lots of acres of paths with benches and a large pond. There are 5 rooms each with their own private hot tub, fireplace, bath and sitting room. My husband got the dine in romance package and on our actual anniversary the anniversary package. That means lots of chocolate covered strawberries :) Hopefully a workout in the morning. Last night I did CDorner Mish mosh cardio skipping some of the boxing moves, I did some of my own and bob and weave was okay. This was 27 minutes, heart rate 109/131, 109 calories. I followed this with her Mobility chair workout, doing what I could and this was 15 minutes, 35 calories, heart rate 89/105. Total time was 42 minutes, 144 calories. I did not check steps. This helped some of the stiffness from PT yesterday.

Cathy, when I point out a point where it hurts at a particular angle, he works that area a bit differently. He also added another light dumbbell move to my workout today. The final stretches are getting less painful. He did push harder at getting my arm straight overhead and shoulder pressed down to the mat. That was more discomfort.

Carolyn, I keep thinking I should do those workouts from Jessica Smith. I like that one.

Judy, nice work with Boss Bands glutes and Core.

Valerie, nice job with the road ride. I hope it warms up here. It got up to 50 today, but was terribly windy.

Today I did Chiseled Upper Body for 43 minutes and 184 calories burned. Average heart rate was 114 and maximum heart rate was 145.

Cathy, great job with Mobility and Cardio Core Blast. You were smart to make your reservations early for returning to school in August. Hotels fill up so quickly during those peak times.

Judy, great job with Boss Bands Glutes and Core.

Diane Sue, congratulations on your wedding anniversary. Your getaway plans sound lovely!

Hello to Valerie. Have a wonderful day everyone.

This morning I did Burpeegirl Low Impact Hiit that she put up today, 35 minutes, heart rate 131/161, 194 calories, 2,686 steps. I liked this and it was all doable. Even her boxing moves as they were more light moves and not hard punches. I did adjust angles of the movements though. Seems weird with not talking. The music was decent. I then did her Standing abs which is more like a light cardio. 19:45 minutes, heart rate 111/128, 84 calories, 2020 steps. I finished with Raw Athetic stretch, 27 minutes, heart rate 82/97, 49 calories. Total time was 82 minutes, 327 calories, and steps for the cardio and standing abs was 4,706 steps.

we tried to ski again yesterday and didn't succeed. got stuck at the same spot as we did a week agio, so rain and warm temps didn't change things. we then tried to do a hike snowshoe, but the blowdowns across the road were unending. we grow huge trees here, its not a simple matter of stepping over a few tree trucks this is a complicated messy maze than can go for miles. so we bailed. going to road ride today instead. the night before I did a brief few minutes on the elliptical, and a few fast exercises. somehow time got away from me.

we are traveling this weekend leaving sunday so Carolyn, can you please start the thread?
