This is GREAT! I just read the getting to know you stuff so here goes my scoop:

1. What should we call you? Dani

2. Married or Single? Married 4 months/together 6 years!

3. Pets and or kids? Aussie (Missy Lou as pictured in Avatar) - 2 years old... no kids!

4. Favorite food? chocolate, Alfredo cream sauce over pasta with chix & mushrooms, chocolate, baked/breaded chix with ham & swiss, chocolate, Stripburger fries with CHEESESAUCE. Did I mention chocolate? Of course this was BEFORE my healthy eating started in August and on special occassions! (man, too close to lunch time for this! - now i'm drooling all over the keyboard!)

5. How do you spend your spare time? watching sports on TV (football, NASCAR), shopping, Cathe workouts, knitting, quilting (but haven't done either in awhile) and throwing the ball for Missy Lou!

6. Have you ever lived, or do you currently live in another country besides the US? No.

7. How old are you? 41

8. What do you do on Sundays? clean house, do laundry, watch football or NASCAR, relax, shop, whatever floats our boat at the time.

9. Do you live in the city or the country? City/subdivision

10. Favorite music? Country Rock (not old country twang) and some less edgy rock. Rascal Flatts, Derks Bently, Brad Paisley, Daughtry, John Meyer, Garth Brooks... lots of others I can't think of right now :)

11. Work? Project Manager for Elevator Company - Commercial Construction
 
Hey there, Peeparoos!

This week, I started back on Barry's Bootcamp. I haven't done those workouts in ages so I'm sure I'll feel it because it's so different than what I've been doing. This morning was Arms & Abs with Barry & I also did the non-treadmill cardio after the weights segment.

Here are my answers to Robin's questionnaire:

2. Married or Single? Married (it will be 20 years on November 23)

3. Pets and or kids? One spoiled dog... Skippy

4. Favorite food? Mexican!

5. How do you spend your spare time? Working out, reading, cleaning, cooking, laundry, watching some t.v. (the Travel Channel, Lifetime, Style, HGTV, etc.), & surfing the internet.

6. Have you ever lived, or do you currently live in another country besides the US? No

7. How old are you? 40

8. What do you do on Sundays? Sleep in, cook a big breakfast, watch Nascar & football, do our weekly grocery shopping, & have a nice dinner with DH & a couple glasses of wine.

9. Do you live in the city or the country? In a small neighborhood in a very small city (about 45,000)

10. Favorite music? 70's soft rock/folk

11. Work? I was downsized from my job of over 14 years at the end of July so I currently don't work... outside the home anyway

Okay, now for a feeble attempt at personals:

Robin - I didn't get to check in at the end of the week or over the weekend so I just want to tell you I'm sorry for what you've been going through recently. I hope you have a low-stress week & I hope you get your cleaning & cardio in this afternoon too.

who are your team(s)? football :eek: Seahawks but Dallas overrules in my house right now... and another NASCAR fan! don't have any paticular favorite, but Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards (except yesterday he was a BAD boy!) are a few of the good ones...
 
Dani--I am a Cowboys fan and like Ryan Newman--he's a Purdue alumn!! :)

Kel--I like the Travel Chanel too and LOVE Samantha Brown!! Doesn't she seem like she'd be fun to have dinner with? I am also addicted to Clean House on Style....and I do have a room that Nicey would say is "foolishness" but I won't talk about that...LOL!

Thanks, LaDonna! I love my job--I am the travel coordinator for production crews in the Southwest Region. So if we are doing a college football game, I do the following:

1. Scout for hotel rooms; broker agreement with the hotel for number of rooms, best rate, meet all special requests (non/smoking, double beds, king only, etc.)
2. Book all the airline tickets for the crew.
3. Coordinate crew coming in from all over the country and coordinate car pools to and from the venue

I love sports so it's fun and TV is always changing to that's fun, too. I have the job that is a critical part of production, but it is a behind the scenes position, you know? I've done this for 10 years now and can't imagine doing anything else...and where else can you work where talking about last night's game is part of your job? :) Also, I know everyone on the teams, from producers and directors to the cameraguys and they are so much fun to work with. I'm a very lucky lady!

Not sure if I'll be able to keep up with everyone and personals, but Congratulations Stephanie on the birth of your new son!

The weekend went by too quickly for my taste but it was productive and quiet .

Finished my workout for today which was the 40m. section of Lauren's kbell dvd. I'm loving those Russian twists :p

Spare time? Whats that? LOL I like to read and watch the news.

Yes - I lived in England for 3 + yrs thats where my oldest two where born.
DH was an Active Duty Air Force member, he retired last year after 22 yrs of honorable service to this country :D

I try to sleep in, and spend quiet time with my kids and husband.


 9. Do you live in the city or the country?

I'm originally born & bred in NYC but now live in NC out in the country


 10. Favorite music?

All types of music is great depending on my mood except for twangy country :eek:

I work all the time at home but just don't get paid for any of it. My payment comes in hugs & kisses :D I once was a RN but gave that up to stay home with our children since daddy was always deployed to give them stability.

Ooooh Wendy - I LOVE Russian Blues!!!!!!! We had one for awhile, named Koshka. He wasn't full blood, though (but he sure looked it). Man, he was wonderful, smart and ornery. I should post a pic. Would LOVE to see pics of yours!

Back again for a few minutes...

Dani - I'm originally from California, so I've liked the 49ers since I was a little girl. This is the first year in a long time that they've looked remotely decent. I actually started watching football with my dad at a very young age & I guess that's why I like it so much today. My DH is a huge Steelers fan & we also like college football (Hokies for me & Bama for him) as well as local high school football. So are you saying that you're a Seahawks fan but most of your household pulls for Dallas? Seattle seems to be having a difficult year so far but Dallas is doing pretty good. As for Nascar, I used to be a huge Rusty fan but since he retired, I've started to really get behind Carl Edwards. Yeah, it's the flip - lol. My DH is mostly an anti-fan, if you know what I mean. Anybody but certain drivers. It's cool to have another Nascar fan around here! Your job sounds interesting to me & sort of in my general field too. I'm a designer but I actually managed the remodeling of our corporate office around the year 2000. I also applied for a project manager position a few years ago too.

Wendy - Yep, you named two of the many shows I'm addicted to. I love Samantha Brown. She seems like so much fun & her shows seem to show all the fun things to do wherever she's visiting. And I think Niecy is a hoot. Foolishness! LOL. I've always like Ryan Newman too.

It's fun to learn more about everyone on here!

4 kids: DD23 love and works in manhattan, DS21 senior in college, DD17 senior in high school, DS15 sophomore
Pets: 4 cats: Rocky and Apollo are 4year old balck domestic cats, Sidney Crosby is a 2year old domestice black cat, and Waldo is a 3 year old tuxedo stray we who moved in on his on via our kitty door!

5. How do you spend your spare time? reading, surfing the internet, watching the youngest two kids in their sports

Send an ark! I had to drive through a torrential downpour to get home and walk across a flooded sidewalk. My umbrella was not much help tonight. My cycle started yesterday, and I have cramps. It appears that I will be skipping my Zumba class to curl up with a heating pad and a book. It is a good night to stay in and read. I had fun with the All Step cardio this morning on the floor. My feet and knees are not ready for a step yet.

Robin, I would love to help you paint and redecorate your kitchen!

Stephanie, congratulations! Give Charlie a big cuddle for me!

Wendy, we do not have Whole Foods around here. HEB carries the Central Market brand. I have not bought pumpkin since last November and cannot remember what brand I tasted. I can see if any of the cans look familiar the next time I go to HEB or the health food store. Central Market is a good brand in general (if they make pumpkin).

Catherine, now I know why you have such healthy skin.

Liann, did your husband know before he married you that he would be living in a zoo? LOL! I do not know what some of those critters are and am not sure I want to know! When the Texas girls went to the zoo with me Memorial Day weekend, we thought of you as we ran past the reptile house.

Hi everyone. I didn't have time to read everyone's messages but I hope that you all are doing well. My DH arrived in NJ this afternoon to be with my family when my dad has surgery to remove his kidney which has a tumor on it. It's a trying and emotional time, but hopefully everything will end up ok :confused:
