RE: Update - PCOS, Lupron, Hysterectomy, Etc.
Hi all. First off, I want to thank everybody for the information and support you have given me. I saw my dr. Monday afternoon, and he is going to give me the lupron injections for three months to "kill the disease", and then we are going to do the hysterectomy. He said if he did it now, with the disease being as active as it is, the surgery would be harder for him to perform, and harder for me to recover. (He used my recovery from this past surgery as an example, and that was nothing).
He did warn me about the first two to four weeks though..........
Here is a question. For those of you who have had lupron, do you think it is wise for me to plan a vacation (or time off work) for the first week? I would really hate it if I threw somebody out the window (I'm on the 8th floor) because of hormones!! }( lol
