Paula's Choice foundation

I tried Paula's Choice foundation......into the garbage it went. I know some people like it, but it just doesn't cover nicely or at all for that matter. IMO, a foundation should even out slight skin imperfections...this foundation does absolutely nothing. I guess if you want a totally sheer foundation that does nothing...it is a good choice. I thought about keeping it as sunscreen, but I prefer to use a higher number.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the skin care is, but I tried the makeup and did not like it either. Paula's Choice has cleared up my skin and I've tried EVERY skin care line out there. I was very surprised that I didn't like the makeup as well.

What products do you use from the skin care? I was looking for a new skin care line to clear up my very mild but highly annoying acne. Not much has seemed to work very well except for this one prescription that is expensive.

You should have returned it, they have great customer service and are great about exchanges/refunds. BTW, what foundation did you try? I use the Natural Finish Oil-Absorbing Makeup SPF 15 and I really like it...

Hi Diane,
I use the following:
Skin Balancing Cleanser (Normal to Oily/Combination Skin)
Skin Balancing Toner (Normal to Oily/Combination Skin)
2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Liquid (I've sampled the lotion and may get that to alternate with the liquid)
Skin Balancing Moisture Gel (Normal to Oily/Combination Skin) for when I get dry patches
Blemish Fighting Solution (I also have extra strength but hardly ever have to use it)
I have very oily skin so these products may not be right for you. Go to www.paulaschoice.com and read about the different kits for acne prone skin. I read and read then put together what I thought would be best for my acne prone/very oily skin. My skin is clear almost 100% of the time since using this skin care. It really is a miracle to me b/c I have suffered from acne since I was a teen and I'm 35 years old and tried everything! Good luck!

i use the skin rebalancing cleanser
and the body 2%BHA (as the face one is half the size i use the body one on my face).
this is all i use of her line at present.
i have to say, her products are pretty good. my skin is clear 99% of the time. i do, however, use a muslin cloth with the cleanser.

It was the Best Face Forward...it is supposed to be sheer to medium matte which should be a heavier foundation than the one you purchase which dries to a sheer to light. I must admit I've been spoiled all these years by using Laura Mercier foundations which are an incredible product line (Laura Mercier is known for her "flawless face" and has been written up in the Instyle "Top Beauty Issue" quite a few times) and although she is three to four times more expensive...I think her foundation and primer is worth it. I guess you get what you pay for. I'm also not as young as you, so I need something that truly offers coverage for those imperfections of color yet doesn't look like I'm wearing anything if that makes any sense I bet if I was as young as you with beautiful skin a totally sheer foundation would be just fine

Hi Robin -

I use Laura Mercier too and love it. I found it a few years ago and will never go back. I use the concealer and powder foundation in the compact. I will have to try the primer.

I bought the clear skin kit for normal to oily/combination. My skin is more combination, and gets very dry in certain areas without lotion, but the dry skin formulas had some oil based ingredients in it that probably wouldn't do well with my skin. I can't wait to get the kit and give it a try. Nothing has seemed to work consistently thus far.
