Pants for a tall, thin 9 year old girl

Ladies,

My daughter will be 9 in November. She is currently wearing her 8 slims but they are really becoming "flood" pants. There are no 9 slims that I can find and 10s are just way too large. She is tall and has a very tiny waist (she can fit into 6s). We need the kind of pants with an adjustable waist. It's not a problem when the weather is warm but now that it is getting colder we would like longer pants.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for reading this!

My step daughter who is now 13, had the same issue. I think Macy's has the jeans that have adjustable waist bands in the kids section. You could also try the jr section. A double zero or zero may fit her waist and give her the right length. This all depends on the brand of jean though. Good luck.

I agree with Jenn's idea of junior size 0 or 00. My daughter has the same body, and we got some hand-me-down size 0 jeans that fit her waist great but were a little long. I did hem them and they worked out great. Also try the store Justice. They seemed at the time (DD is 15 now) to have a good variety/selection of slim pants/jeans. Good luck!

I have a daughter with the same problem! The only ones that fit her are the junior size 00 Regular (sometimes Petite) from Delia's. They are very reasonably priced and good quality. You can order online if you don't have one near you.
